Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 65: Chapter 65: How can you forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye?

”Ariel Morris, when will your emotional intelligence and IQ ever be online?”

”...What do you mean?”

”Did your Chinese teacher teach you math? What a lack of comprehension!” Arlo Seys quipped.

”No!”

”Then it must have been your PE teacher.”

.....

.....

Ariel Morris watched the running boy, recalling the scene of Arlo Seys carrying her during a run, and couldn’t help but smile warmly.

Ariel Morris left Scenic Hill High School, bought two buns by the roadside, and walked while eating, continuing to wander in the bustling City C.

The night fell.

Arlo Seys drove back to Royal View City, and as soon as he reached the gate, he saw a familiar figure pacing back and forth, looking around.

The car’s headlights shone on Ariel Morris, and she turned to see Arlo Seys sitting in the driver’s seat, looking slightly exhausted.

Ariel Morris walked over and gently knocked on the car window.

Arlo Seys stared straight ahead, pressed the button to lower the window, but did not turn to look at Ariel Morris, his demeanor indifferent and distant: ”What’s up?”

Ariel Morris lowered her eyes slightly. That afternoon, her mind had been playing flashbacks from their youth, yet now she couldn’t reconcile the people they were then with the ones they were now.

She handed the keys in her hand to Arlo Seys and softly said, ”Aunt Forest and the other servants have taken leave for about a week. You left early this morning, and she didn’t have a chance to tell you, so she gave the keys to me.”

Arlo Seys took the keys, tossed them casually into the car, ready to roll up the window and drive off. Ariel Morris suddenly said to him, ”Arlo Seys, let’s have a meal together.”

Seeing no reaction from Arlo Seys, whose cold face showed no ripple, as if he hadn’t heard her at all. Ariel Morris organized her words, trying to maintain a calm and composed tone, ”Considering I brought you the keys, it’s not too much to ask you to treat me to a meal, right? I waited for you for three hours, can you see it as a thank you?”

Arlo Seys remained silent.

He got out of the car directly, and Ariel Morris thought he agreed to her suggestion, a hint of delight appearing on her face. But just as she started to smile, she saw Arlo Seys get out of the car and head straight to the villa, entering the code at the gate, which opened right up—

Ariel Morris’ smile froze on her lips instantly.

Arlo Seys turned back, looking at her indifferently, ”I don’t need keys at all.”

The implication was that her act of bringing the keys was simply presumptuous! Ariel Morris felt a big wave of embarrassment wash over her!

She looked at Arlo Seys, changed the subject with a slight pitiful tone in her voice, ”Arlo Seys, I’m hungry.”

”Take care.”

The cold tone made Ariel Morris’ heart suddenly sting with pain, yet she pretended to be nonchalant, casually pulling a faint smile as she looked at him, ”Arlo, I went to...” Before she could finish saying Scenic Hill High School, Arlo Seys interrupted her coldly, ”I’m not interested in anything about you.”

After saying that, Arlo Seys slammed the villa door shut, not even bothering to move the car parked at the gate, seeming to find any further glance at Ariel Morris annoying.

”Arlo!” Ariel Morris called anxiously to his coldly turned back.

Arlo Seys stopped in his tracks but did not turn to look at her, waiting for her to continue.

Ariel Morris stepped forward a few steps, a wrought iron gate still standing between them.

Looking at his indifferent back, Ariel Morris felt a lump in her throat, ”Arlo, can I... can I have a meal with you? Can you just treat me as an ordinary friend, please? This is the last request I’ll make of you. Arlo...”

”Ariel Morris, we are neither lovers nor old friends anymore. I have no obligation to agree to have dinner with a stranger.”

Ariel Morris shouted bitterly at his retreating figure, ”What will it take for you to forgive my sudden departure back then?”
