Chapter 63: Chapter 63: God Seys, they say the girl chasing the boy is like a veil...

....

Amidst the laughter and banter of the younger students, Arlo Seys’s indifferent expression finally changed. He looked at Ariel Morris, his lips pursed, and his tone slightly unnatural, a bit awkward, ”Ariel Morris, where’s your face?”

Ariel Morris shrugged it off, ”What’s the use of a pretty face if you can’t even win over a god? I don’t need it!”

”...” Arlo Seys’s mouth twitched. ”Get up and start running!”

”I can’t run!” Ariel Morris squatted on the ground, refusing to move an inch, ”Even if I run fast, I still can’t catch up with you! What’s the use of running? Can it catch me a god like you?”

Arlo Seys blurted out, ”How do you know you can’t catch up if you don’t run?”

Ariel Morris’s eyes sparkled instantly, looking up at Arlo Seys, ”So, if I run, can I really catch up with you?”

”...You should try running first.”

With that, Arlo Seys started running first. Ariel Morris watched his back, gritting her teeth, she stood up and began to chase after him.

”God Seys, they say it’s easy for girls to pursue boys, but why does it feel like there’s an iron wall between us?” Ariel Morris caught up with Arlo, panting as she asked.

”Hahaha------” The other students burst into laughter.

Arlo Seys truly felt embarrassed like never before. He had never met a girl with such a thick skin, his mouth twitched, ”Ariel Morris, can’t you keep your voice down? The whole world heard you!”

”Why should I? Everyone knows I’m chasing you!”

”...” Arlo Seys really didn’t want to be embarrassed with Ariel anymore, so he quickened his pace and ran away.

”Arlo Seys, wait for me!” Ariel shouted while chasing after him, panting as Arlo got farther and farther away from her.

The difference in stamina and athletic ability between males and females became glaringly obvious at this moment. Ariel clutched her stomach, her face a bit pale, ”Arlo Seys... I really can’t run anymore, I can’t...”

In front, Arlo Seys heard the voice and turned to look at Ariel, seeing that she was indeed exhausted, his eyes showed some hesitation, not knowing what he was thinking.

”Senior Brother Seys, let Classmate Morris rest for a bit, give her a break!”

”Yeah, Senior Brother Seys! We won’t tell anyone!” a boy said with a wicked smile.

”Why shouldn’t Ariel Morris run? We’re girls too, Senior! Either give us all a break!” protested a girl from Class Seven of the first grade.

Immediately, someone echoed, ”Yes! Senior, you should treat everyone equally!”

”Do you girls have any sympathy? Classmate Morris is obviously not feeling well, what’s the big deal about giving her a break?” a male classmate retorted.

”Exactly!”

”If the teacher were here, they would treat everyone equally! Just because Ariel Morris is pursuing the Senior Brother, she shouldn’t get special treatment, right?”

Arlo Seys glanced at the arguing classmates and looked at Ariel, asking lowly, ”How many laps do you have left?”

Ariel Morris clutched her stomach, her voice slightly weak, ”I still have two and a half laps.”

”Get on!” Arlo Seys decisively bent over, his back towards Ariel Morris.

”Arlo Seys... what, what are you doing?” Ariel asked in surprise, not stepping forward.

”Yeah, Senior, what are you doing? Ariel Morris still has two and a half laps left!”

Arlo Seys ignored what the girl said, just spoke lowly, ”I’ll carry you, you have two and a half laps left, I’ll carry you and double that, five laps!”

Ariel looked at Arlo, her eyes filled with shock.

A god carrying her while running? That scene... would be simply too beautiful!
