Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Eight years ago, you sold yourself to make a deal...

Ariel Morris extended a bowl of glutinous rice balls and ignored Arlo Seys’s refusal, forcing it into his hands. Leaning against the balcony railing, she lowered her eyes slightly, stirring the round rice balls in her bowl tirelessly, then softly spoke, ”Yes, we’ve been apart for eight years.”

”Yes. Your words, {Arlo Seys, I’m sorry, let’s break up}, cut through everything. Thank you for your heartlessness which enabled Arlo Seys to achieve today’s accomplishments. It was you, Ariel Morris, who forged the steel-hard Arlo Seys!”

His words were dripping with sarcasm. Ariel Morris scooped up a rice ball and bit into it. The bean paste filling should have been sweet and soft, but it couldn’t mask the bitterness in her heart.

”Then... what if I say that I’ll pursue you once more?” Ariel Morris suddenly raised her eyes, which shone with a strange light, directly facing Arlo Seys, speaking with determination: ”Arlo Seys, I’ll pursue you once more!”

Arlo Seys, I’ll pursue you once more! Overlapping with the youthful confession she once made, Arlo Seys, I like you. Images collided, echoes overlapped. Arlo Seys’s heart thumped fiercely. He looked at Ariel Morris, ”Your shameless persistence hasn’t changed in these eight years? Ariel Morris, I won’t love you again, nor accept someone who once toyed with my feelings! And—” He coldly handed back the untouched rice balls to her, ”I’ve never liked desserts!”

Ariel Morris grew anxious, ”But back then, when you were with me, you ate so many desserts, you clearly didn’t hate them...”

Arlo Seys sneered, ”I told you long ago I’m no longer the same Arlo Seys! You destroyed the Arlo Seys I used to be, have you forgotten? Ariel Morris!”

Ariel Morris’s throat choked up, ”Eight years ago, when we were so in love, I never imagined that we’d end with an eight-year farewell. But, Arlo Seys, if I say this is the only way I can strive for an ending where you are safe, will you believe me?”

”Ariel Morris! Is there any point in pretending to be deeply in love with me at this moment? Search your heart and truthfully say, weren’t you chasing after me eight years ago because I was the heir of the Seys Family?”

Arlo Seys’s aggressive gaze bore down on Ariel Morris. She felt an invisible force press upon her, causing her to lower her head unconsciously, her voice barely audible: ”No... Arlo Seys, I never used you, nor did I ever intend to use you... You are the warmest ray of sunshine in my life, how could I want to use you?”

”If that’s the case! Ariel Morris, tell me, why did you arrange everything at that hotel? You say I’m the warmest light in your life, but what about everything you did?”

Ariel Morris’s voice was somewhat hoarse: ”Arlo Seys, does what happened between us at the hotel that night bother you so much? Is that the main reason for your eight years of hatred? At the time, as a couple, speaking plainly, it wasn’t such a big deal. It’s normal for couples to reach that stage. But, did touching me make you uncomfortable?”

Arlo Seys lit a cigarette, holding it between his fingers, his gaze fixed on the rain curtain of the deep night, his figure somewhat desolate and lonely.

”Ariel Morris, have you really sunk to the point of selling your body for a transaction?”

”What...?” Ariel Morris was stunned.

Arlo Seys laughed coldly, gazing into the pitch-black night sky, speaking lowly, ”Actually, there was no need for you to plan everything at that hotel. At that time with our relationship, you just needed to tell me, and I would have helped you without reservation. But instead, you chose the most foolish method.”

Ariel Morris wore a look of confusion, her mind in disarray, ”Arlo Seys, what are you talking about...?”
