Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Let me take care of Arlo Seys for 1 week?

Ariel Morris suddenly spoke in a blurred dream talk, and Arlo Seys’s hand, which was applying ointment for her, trembled slightly.

”Arlo... are you okay? ... Arlo... I want to go back to City C...”

”I don’t want to be here anymore, I can’t understand their language, Arlo... I want to go home, I want to return to my country...”

”Arlo, don’t forget me... don’t find a new girlfriend...”

”I will definitely come back to find you... Arlo, please don’t abandon me...”

Arlo listened carefully to every word Ariel Morris said, fearing he might miss something.

When he heard her last sentence, a self-mocking smile appeared on Arlo’s lips, tinged with bitterness.

Ariel Morris, between us, who is actually abandoning whom?

You’re the one who abandoned me!

Ariel Morris, even in your dream talk, do you want to deceive me? Or are you deceiving yourself, trying to convince yourself that you loved me?

Arlo applied the ointment for Ariel Morris, and seeing her rub her arms and shiver slightly, he went upstairs to get a blanket from his room for her and also turned up the temperature of the living room air conditioner.

”Ariel Morris, there is one thing you said right. Era is mine, and now you are an Era employee. If you catch a cold, wouldn’t I be paying a day’s wage for nothing?”

Arlo pursed his lips, explaining to the sleeping Ariel Morris the original intention behind his series of actions, as if also telling himself, then returned to his room.

-----

The next day, when Ariel Morris woke up, it was already late morning. By the bedside were the clothes she changed out of yesterday, now washed and dried, so she changed and went downstairs.

Aunt Forest, seeing her awake, warmly invited her to have breakfast.

Ariel Morris ate breakfast, glancing at the second floor, and casually asked, ”Aunt Forest, where’s Arlo Seys?”

”The young master went to work early, Miss Morris.”

Ariel Morris was drinking milk, glanced at the time on the wall clock, and choked on the milk, coughing violently.

”It’s nine thirty!!!”

She was late...!!

Arlo Seys! He didn’t even offer her a ride to the company! Even if he didn’t want to carpool with her, he should at least have woken her up! After all, she is an Era employee now!

Though her being late isn’t much his business as the CEO, she is currently earning a salary from Era! Being late also affects work!

Ariel Morris seemed to have forgotten at this moment that she wasn’t yet an official Era employee, she was merely an intern who had just entered Era and was still under evaluation...

Ariel Morris grabbed the bread on the table and dashed out, moving swiftly.

”Wait... Miss Morris, I need your help with something...” Aunt Forest called after her, speaking hurriedly.

Ariel Morris glanced anxiously at the clock, ”Aunt Forest, quickly, I’m late.”

Aunt Forest hesitated for a moment, then cautiously said, ”Miss Morris, there are some urgent matters at my home and I need a week’s leave, but the young master is usually not comfortable with strangers serving him, so I was hoping you could help...”

”Aunt Forest, you aren’t asking me to take care of Arlo Seys for a week, are you?” Ariel Morris was taken aback, looking troubled at Aunt Forest, ”This... isn’t right, is it?” Arlo Seys would surely think she’s intentionally staying at his house, refusing to leave, and he might even get so mad he’d strangle her.

She pursed her lips, ”Aunt Forest, there are other servants in the house, isn’t one Arlo Seys enough to handle?”

She never found Arlo Seys hard to take care of before because he used to indulge and protect her. But now, with Arlo Seys’s mercurial temperament, thinking about his bloodthirsty demeanor when he fought in the alley, Ariel Morris shivered all over, feeling only fear.

Aunt Forest seemed a little distressed, ”Miss Morris, there’s an urgent matter at my home. I planned to discuss taking leave with the young master this morning, but he went to the company without even having breakfast. I’m really out of options, that’s why I’m asking for your help, Miss Morris.”
