Chapter 48: Chapter 48: Arlo, I’m fine...

The other boys knocked to the ground by Nico Haynes and Dawn Sutherland looked at their Brother Campbell being beaten mercilessly and shouted at the rushing police for help, ”Hurry up! They’re going to kill him!”

The police, hearing this, immediately drew their batons, moving swiftly and efficiently.

Hearing the commotion, Nico Haynes and Dawn Sutherland anxiously shouted at Arlo Seys, ”Arlo! Get a hold of yourself! The police are here!”

Arlo Seys seemed oblivious, continuing to rain blows on Juan Campbell.

The group of officers who arrived with batons intended to forcibly stop Arlo Seys from beating him.

Nico Haynes and Dawn Sutherland stepped forward to block the police, pointing at Arlo Seys and scoffing, ”Do you know who that is? You dare to use your batons on him?”

Nico Haynes’s words, full of arrogance, made the police look at him with discomfort. A young officer, full of chutzpah, responded disdainfully to Nico Haynes, ”We don’t care who you are! If this continues, someone will die! Don’t obstruct our duties! Otherwise, we’ll take you to the police station!”

Nico Haynes sneered, ”Go ahead, try hitting him with your baton! You have the guts to hit the Crown Prince of the Seys Family! Get your chief to come here and see if he’ll let you lay a finger on the Crown Prince of the Seys Family!”

The group of officers exchanged glances, then looked at the person fiercely beating someone, and were shocked.

Is the one beating him really the Crown Prince of the Seys Family? Damn, this is a tough situation to handle! They were assigned to find Young Master Seys, so how did he end up fighting here?

A more senior officer immediately put on a smile and diplomatically suggested to Nico Haynes and Dawn Sutherland, ”Gentlemen, if this continues, he’ll beat that person to death, and if someone dies, it would be hard for us to handle. Besides, no matter what the problem is, you can let us handle it now. If someone dies at the hands of Young Master Seys, he might be hard-pressed to escape responsibility.”

The place was covered in blood, if the beating continued, someone would definitely die! The chaos was practically like a murder scene...

Dawn and Nico both understood this logic, but Arlo was truly enraged, and they had no way to stop him! Who knows if the batons would blindly fall on them as soon as they approached?

Listening to Juan Campbell’s painful screams, both felt terror and dread.

Nico Haynes turned his eyes to Ariel Morris, who was frozen with fear, and inexplicable anger arose. He shouted at her, ”Ariel Morris! Why are you still standing there like an idiot? Make Arlo stop! Do you want him to pay for a life with a life?”

Indeed, when it came to Ariel Morris, Arlo seemed to lose all reason! What exactly was so special about Ariel Morris that made Arlo pine for her, unable to forget her even after eight years?

Ariel Morris looked at the group of police, then at Arlo Seys, biting her lip as she called out frantically, ”Arlo! Stop, you’ll kill him if you keep going! Arlo, the police are here, let them handle it!”

Arlo Seys showed no reaction and continued without pause.

Ariel Morris watched Juan Campbell, his head covered in blood, his struggles growing weaker and weaker, truly fearing Arlo’s next few strikes would be fatal. The fierce determination in Arlo’s eyes made her fingertips tremble; she genuinely feared he’d kill him tonight.

She could no longer afford to be afraid or to worry about the brutal violence in Arlo, so barefoot, she rushed forward, tightly hugging him from behind, her voice hoarse and trembling, ”Arlo, stop... stop. Arlo, I’m okay now...”

Rain fell on both of them as Ariel Morris hugged Arlo Seys, her fingers still shaking, ”Arlo, Arlo, stop it.”

Ariel Morris’s tears mixed with the rain slid down Arlo Seys’s back.

The wildly furious Arlo Seys was tightly held by her, his body trembled, and the baton poised once again to strike down on Juan Campbell slowly lowered.

”Arlo, leave him to the police... Arlo, please?”
