Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Dawn Sutherland’s Girlfriend?

Why do I feel like I’m having a ”my dad is Rylan Lee” moment? Ariel Morris felt uncertain inside.

The receptionist gave her a surprised look.

Dawn Sutherland and the President are good friends; she frequently comes and goes at the Era Tower, and all these receptionists are so familiar with President Sutherland! Plus, she has a special privilege from the President that allows her to visit the 68th floor, the executive office area, without an appointment.

How come President Sutherland’s girlfriend is here today? I’ve never heard that President Sutherland has a girlfriend!

The receptionist internally questioned for a moment, then smiled at Ariel Morris and said, ”Please wait a moment,” and subsequently picked up the phone in front of her to dial.

No need to guess; Ariel Morris knew she definitely dialed the internal line to Arlo Seys’ management office.

Sure enough...

The receptionist respectfully asked over the phone: ”Special Assistant Walkers, there’s a lady at the front desk claiming to be Dawn Sutherland’s girlfriend, requesting to meet with President Seys...”

_

Meanwhile.

At the executive office area on the 68th floor of Era Tower.

Special Assistant Callan Walkers told the receptionist, ”Please hold on,” then knocked on the door of the President’s office.

Receiving a response from inside, Callan Walkers walked in.

”President, there’s a young lady at the front desk who wants to meet with you, and her identity is somewhat special...” Callan glanced at the guest sitting on the sofa in the President’s office, then continued, ”She’s claiming to be President Sutherland’s girlfriend.”

”...”

Once Callan finished his sentence, everyone—both those sitting at the desk and those on the sofa—looked up at him.

”My girlfriend? At the front desk?” Dawn Sutherland, sitting on the sofa, asked in surprise, confused.

Callan nodded affirmatively, indicating that he had correctly relayed what the receptionist said.

With confirmation from his special assistant, Arlo Seys frowned, looking at his friend Dawn Sutherland on the sofa, ”When did you get a girlfriend? How come she followed you to Era?”

Typically gentle and polite, Dawn Sutherland now had a slightly gloomy and unpleasant expression as he looked at Arlo Seys, ”No! You should ask who dares to impersonate my girlfriend! And how coincidental it is running into me at Era today!”

Seriously! He came to Era today to discuss a partnership with Arlo, and suddenly there’s someone claiming to be his girlfriend looking for Arlo!

Arlo Seys furrowed his brows even tighter.

What exactly is this blatant impersonation of Dawn Sutherland’s girlfriend aiming to achieve?

Callan, too, picked up on the hints from Dawn’s words. He turned to his boss to ask, ”Then... President, that lady... the receptionist is awaiting a response.”

Before Arlo Seys could speak, Dawn Sutherland cut in, ”Invite her up! I want to see who’s pretending to be my girlfriend!”

After seeing a slight nod of approval from his president, Callan respectfully exited the office, then told the waiting receptionist over the phone, ”Please allow the lady to come up.”

_

Inside the office.

Arlo Seys took a sip of coffee from the desk and casually spoke to the person on the sofa, ”Nico, is it one of those girls chasing after you?”

Dawn Sutherland looked helpless, ”Boss Seys, if this happened to Third Haynes, now that would be a story worth discussing! If she claimed to be Third Haynes’ girlfriend, you should wonder if it’s one of his messy romances showing up. But look at me, I’m at the company working all day, where would I have time to mess around with such nonsense?”

Arlo Seys simply nodded slightly.

Dawn’s words weren’t incorrect; among the three of them, only Nico Haynes frequently changed girlfriends. Dawn Sutherland wasn’t much interested in women, making the chances of attracting any messy romances low.

Unperturbed, Arlo Seys continued to focus intently on handling his documents.

Sitting on the sofa, Dawn Sutherland, thinking about himself—a scandal-free person—suddenly having a supposed girlfriend pop up, was so annoyed he couldn’t settle down. He brought the coffee cup on the coffee table to his lips.

*Knock, knock.*

About two minutes later, someone knocked on the office door.

Without lifting his head, Arlo Seys coolly said, ”Come in.”
