Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Should Arlo know that Ariel is also looking for him?

The guy who got kicked was clutching his abdomen in agony, glaring fiercely at Ariel Morris.

Ariel couldn’t be bothered with him. She quickly grabbed the wrist of another guy who was charging at her, swiftly twisting it, and jabbed her elbow hard into his stomach, adding a heel to his foot as a bonus.

Ariel’s attack didn’t pause for a moment; while at the peak of victory, she took the momentum and directly threw another guy over her shoulder in just a few minutes!

Just as she was in the heat of fighting, a guy tugged her long hair from behind. Ariel winced in pain, yanked backward step by step, and ended up against the guy’s chest.

A flash of strategy passed in her eyes, and Ariel leaned into his arms. Before he could revel, she clawed the guy’s ear with her reverse hand, pulled hard, then swiftly twisted her body to face him, using her head to brutally ram into his nose...

The guy bled profusely from his nose after her hit, grabbing it as he squatted on the ground, tears of pain welling in his eyes.

Ariel stood there too, painfully rubbing her scalp.

Eight years ago, Arlo Seys taught her these moves, and she used them all to knock down four opponents. Even Ariel was gasping for breath from exhaustion.

At that moment, Ariel was incredibly resentful of her eight-years-ago-self, wondering why she had been so lazy! Arlo had taught her so diligently, yet out of laziness, she learned only a few self-defense tricks and stopped.

She even willfully threatened Arlo that if he kept pushing her to learn, she would stop talking to him forever.

Arlo, because he spoiled her, didn’t pressure her, just gently stroked her hair with doting eyes and said, ”It’s fine if you don’t learn. As long as I’m beside you to protect you all your life. Between us, it’s enough for one person to be strong. With me, I will never let you get hurt.”

Back then, she smiled with sweet happiness and playfully replied, ”Right, Arlo, I have you. You just need to protect me! I’ll be responsible for being beautiful like flowers, and you’ll earn money to support the family, plus handle all the fighting and killing~!”

Scenes of warmth and sweetness from eight years ago suddenly surfaced in her mind, and Ariel felt as though she was in another lifetime.

Arlo, now I’m in danger, where are you?

Arlo, I’m scared.

In the split second Ariel was in a daze, Brother Campbell charged and slapped her hard.

Ariel staggered, knocked to the ground. Before she could react, before she could get up, two guys had already seized her wrists, immobilizing her.

......

Meanwhile inside the Encounter Pub.

Arlo Seys, Dawn Sutherland, and Nico Haynes had just finished drinking, chatting about business matters.

Dawn’s phone abruptly started ringing loudly.

Dawn was eloquently talking to Arlo while grabbing his phone, pressing the answer button without even looking.

The moment the call connected, and before he could speak, there was a beep indicating the other party had hung up.

Dawn furrowed his brow, took the phone away from his ear, and glanced at the recent call log. Upon seeing the name Ariel Morris, he instinctively looked at Arlo.

Arlo, meeting his conflicted gaze, casually asked, ”What’s up?”

Dawn’s hand holding the phone slightly tightened. Remembering the pain and sadness in Arlo’s eyes when he talked about the past from eight years ago, he calmed his thoughts and smiled warmly, ”Nothing,” then slipped his phone back into his pocket, pretending the call never happened, and continued discussing work with Arlo and Nico.

After about half an hour of chatting, the three of them checked the time, saw it was already past one in the morning, and decided to head back to their respective homes.

In the elevator.

Dawn, with his hands in his pockets, felt uneasy thinking about the call that was cut off. He glanced at the back of his good friend Arlo standing in front, still cool and aloof.

Recalling the happy images of Arlo together with Ariel from eight years ago, all smiles, Dawn’s eyes showed a struggle of conflict.

Should he let Arlo know that Ariel was looking for him tonight too?
