Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Ariel, You Got Me Big Time!

Arlo Seys didn’t even lift his head, he said coolly, ”Come in.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the door was slowly pushed open from outside.

Dawn Sutherland, who had been watching the door since he heard the knocking, nearly choked on his coffee when he saw the person who walked in claiming to be his ’so-called girlfriend’...

”Pff... cough cough cough...” The coffee he just drank went down the wrong pipe, almost making him tear up.

Ariel! You’ve really done me in this time!!!

Arlo Seys, dealing with paperwork, heard the commotion and coughing from Dawn and wondered how shocking the incoming person could be to get such a big reaction?

Curious, Arlo Seys looked up towards the door...

Ariel Morris...

All he saw in his deep-set eyes was the figure of the girl walking in from the door. Completely drenched by the rain, she hadn’t been in long before the area she stood was covered with water droplets.

Perhaps because she was too cold, Ariel Morris stood there shivering slightly.

He recalled the scene two hours ago when she stopped his car at the gate of his villa.

He remembered sitting in the car watching the torrential rain outside.

Seeing her clothes now drenched and squeezing water, the white, beautiful fingers holding his pen involuntarily trembled.

Ariel Morris walked into the office, keeping her head down. Guessing if Arlo Seys would mercilessly throw her out upon seeing her pretending to be Dawn’s girlfriend just to meet him, she was startled by the sudden violent coughing sound filling the room and quickly turned her head to look towards the source.

”...”

Seeing Dawn Sutherland on the sofa coughing while smiling at her, Ariel Morris’s cheeks instantly flushed red.

Should’ve checked my horoscope before going out today!

Brother Dawn is at Era! And if that wasn’t enough, the main thing is... she got in by being reported as Brother Dawn’s girlfriend!

This is awkward, to say the least...

Ariel Morris covered her face, wanting to turn around and flee...

But since the embarrassment is already out, running now would be a loss!

”Ariel, how did you end up soaked like this?” Dawn Sutherland furrowed his brow, examining Ariel Morris from head to toe, and exclaimed.

Ariel Morris awkwardly looked up at Arlo Seys, then replied in an almost resigned tone, ”Couldn’t catch a ride.”

”Don’t you have a car? I saw you driving a red Porsche in the Royal One parking lot.” Dawn asked.

Ariel Morris shook her head, ”Not mine, that’s my sister’s.”

”Dawn Sutherland... the girlfriend?” Arlo Seys interrupted the two’s conversation as he increased the pressure on his pen, looking at Ariel Morris with a sarcastic tone.

”...” Hearing this, Dawn Sutherland adjusted his posture to be particularly elegant and proper, sitting silently on the sofa, playing the mute.

At this moment, it’d be so easy to get caught in the crossfire, right?

Besides, Ariel has dragged him into this; he really didn’t want to be kicked out of Era Tower.

”...” Ariel Morris pressed her lips together awkwardly and softly explained, ”President Seys, I only came up with this idea to enter the Era Tower out of desperation.” How was I supposed to know Brother Dawn would be at Era! It’s too embarrassing!

Dawn Sutherland felt that at this moment, he must clear his name, or else when Arlo Seys settles accounts later, this blame would definitely fall on his head.

Thus, Dawn stood up from the sofa, walked over, and teasingly said to Ariel Morris, ”Ariel, don’t scare me like that again, my heart can’t take it. Look, as a single diamond eligible bachelor, suddenly having a girlfriend tagged along, imagine the stir it would cause if reported? Next time the reception doesn’t let you pass, you can entirely say you’re the girlfriend of Era CEO Arlo Seys, or if it comes down to it, say you’re Dawn Sutherland’s sister instead.” At this point, Dawn glanced at the person sitting at the desk, ”Ariel, have a good talk with Arlo, I’ll head outside to discuss some business with Callan.”
