Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Is President Seys’ Spring Coming?

Callan arrived at the hospital, panting heavily with food in hand.

Upon seeing him, Arlo Seys glanced at the time on his watch and snorted coldly, ”An hour and eight minutes. Should I get myself a new assistant?”

Callan shook the food in his hand and complained, ”Boss, I had just arrived at the company when I got your call asking me to pick up something from your house. I sped off to Royal View City immediately. After grabbing the food from Aunt Forest, I dashed right over! From the company to Royal View City, and then to the hospital, I was practically racing the whole way. I even skidded through a yellow light!”

Boss, with my dedication and high efficiency, you’re still not satisfied...not satisfied...

To get here quickly, I almost had to ask for a police escort! Boss, you still want to replace me! Bloodsucking capitalist, only exploiting us poor working-class folks, geez!

Callan felt a pang of resentment.

Arlo’s cold stare made Callan’s resentment dissipate instantly. He perked up and obsequiously asked, ”Boss, why are you at the hospital so early? Who’s in the hospital?”

”Stop gossiping!” Arlo said coldly, ”Deliver the food to ward 3 on the third floor of the inpatient department!”

”Got it!”

Callan received the order and immediately headed out.

”Stop!”

His footsteps, just headed out, stood still promptly.

Callan turned back with a fawning smile, ”Boss, any other orders?”

Arlo pressed his thin lips together and, with a hint of unconscious tension, said, ”Don’t let her know you saw me here!”

”Okay!”

Callan, with a bounce in his step, turned and walked away, humming a cheerful tune in his mind and filled with thoughts of his boss’s little gossip.

The ”him” mentioned by the boss, is it the ”他” or the ”她”?

Callan was truly eager to meet this person!

So excited! It’s like spring’s return to a dried-up tree. His boss’s springtime is coming!!!

Callan found ward 3 after asking a nurse.

When Callan walked in, Ariel Morris was on the phone. Out of courtesy, Callan stood at the door and didn’t interrupt.

”Vanessa, you know my situation. I urgently need a job to support myself now.”

”I can’t be picky anymore, as long as I’m not living on the streets and can get food to eat!”

”Yes, I’m back. City C has really changed a lot.”

”Remember to keep an eye out for job listings for me. Bye, I’ll treat you to a meal another day!”

Ariel hung up the phone and happened to meet Callan’s scrutinizing gaze at the door.

”Ahem, um,” Callan awkwardly walked in with the food, ”Hello, Miss. I’m Callan. Um... my boss asked me to bring you some food.”

Ariel looked at him puzzled, ”Your boss?”

”Era on the 68th floor, we’ve met once.”

Callan stated instantly where he was from.

More than once! We met yesterday too, but Miss, you were unconscious at Lushwoods then!

Ariel was surprised, ”You’re Arlo Seys’s assistant?”

The 68th floor at Era, that’s Arlo Seys’s office area, apart from him, only his few secretaries could be there!

”Yes, I’m President Seys’s special assistant,” Callan corrected.

There’s a difference between an assistant and a special assistant, okay?

His boss has six assistants besides him, and the total salary of those six assistants doesn’t beat his special assistant salary, okay? Callan proudly thought.

Of course, he earns more, but he also manages more. Both private and work matters, he’s the first in line for everything! Like this time, the boss sent him to deliver soup, which other assistant has such an honor? Hmph?

Callan found a balance point for his busy and tough special assistant career.

”Thank you.”

”You’re welcome, Miss, drink it while it’s hot.”

Callan carefully served the soup and handed it to her, ”There are other foods here too, after drinking the soup, Miss can try them. By the way, Miss, what’s your surname?”

Ariel smiled slightly, ”My surname is Morris, Ariel Morris.”

”Morris, huh,” Callan’s eyes suddenly widened, connecting with the two words that followed, eyes filled with shock.

Ariel Morris?! Oh my God!
