A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1477: This Dragon Is Unlike Any Other

Archer listened as the babies cooed sweetly in response as they gazed up at him with their big eyes. Soon, the twins were nestling closer as he held them tenderly. Hecate smiled and said. ’’I’ll need to feed them soon, but take your moment. Oh, and don’t forget to clean the blood off your shirt.’’

With a gentle nod, he sweetly replied. ’’No problem, my love. I just want to see them for a little while before getting back to the war. Now I’ll spend more time at the palace with my three girls, I don’t want to miss out on anything.’’

’’You won’t, handsome,’’ Teuila commented as she handed Hecate a drink. ’’We will always tell you when anything with the babies happens.’’

Seconds later, the Moon Elf settled comfortably, while the midwives quietly slipped out of the room. Teuila stayed by her side, tenderly assisting her as she rested, weary from the birth.

As the two women did that, he settled into a nearby plush armchair, carefully adjusting his hold to ensure the two girls rested comfortably against him. Their tiny forms seemed to melt into his warmth, their soft breaths syncing with the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

’’You both are so adorable, just like your big sister Freya,’’ he muttered.

Cradling them close, he murmured a quiet spell, casting Cleanse over himself and the twins to ensure that they were clean. A faint shimmer of mana enveloped them, whisking away the bloodstains.

The girls, sensing the familiar hum of his magic and mana, broke into delighted smiles, their big eyes sparkling with recognition. Tiny hands waved in the air, as if reaching for the fading glow.

Hecate, watching from across the room, felt her heart swell when she saw him and her two little girls. She couldn’t help but think. ’He will be a great father, I can’t wait to see him get jumped by a group of girls.’

Hecate stifled a chuckle, catching Teuila’s curious glance, her blue hair glinting in the light. With a warm, radiant smile, she promised to share the details later, watching as her friend headed toward the Domain to bathe.

Once Teuila was gone, Hecate turned to him, her eyes softening. ’’They feel that connection because of you,’’ she murmured, her voice a gentle whisper. ’’The mana you poured into me during my pregnancy wrapped them in your magic, nurturing them from the womb. That bond with you will always be a part of them.’’

Archer nodded in agreement as he responded. ’’We’ve been waiting years for these two. Now let’s give them the best that we never received. Together, Hecate, along with all the others who see you as a sister.’’

The Moon Elf beamed with happiness, but Embera’s panicked voice erupted in his mind. ’The Alliance has attacked! They are wiping out my people, please can you come help!’

When hearing that, he jumped up and handed the babies over while explaining. ’’The Fire Elves are being exterminated. I need to help out before the enemies do too much damage to their land and people.’’

Hecate’s face changed to one of concern as she nodded. ’’Go help, and make sure the Alliance knows what happens when crossing you.’’

With a steely nod, he vanished in a blaze of mana, reappearing beside the Fire Elf Empress as cataclysmic explosions tore through the battlefield. Silent and resolute, he unleashed one of his hidden powers, transforming into the Shadow Prince.

’’Let’s not hide this anymore,’’ he muttered.

Archer’s form shimmered with dark majesty as he raised his hands, summoning an unstoppable legion of millions of Shadow Creatures. His eerie voice thundered across the chaos, resonating with unshakable authority. ’’Annihilate every enemy soldier and save the elves, NOW!’’

In an instant, a suffocating tide of darkness surged over the Duskfire, engulfing the battlefield in an eerie gloom. The Alliance soldiers froze, their faces etched with horror as shapes materialized from the shadows, creatures born of their deepest nightmares.

With gleaming claws slicing through armor like parchment and jagged teeth that rent flesh and bone with terrifying skill, these spectral beasts descended upon the ranks, leaving chaos in their wake.

He moved through the fray like an incarnation of death itself; every motion was ruthless, killing soldiers with a fury that painted the ground crimson. His presence was a storm of violence, each strike proof of his unyielding prowess.

Watching from a distance, Embera stood transfixed, her glowing orange eyes alight with a strange thrill. The chaos of battle, the raw power unfolding in front of her, stirred a wild excitement deep within her soul.

It was like the spectacle of destruction had awakened something long dormant inside the Fire Elf Empress.

From her vantage point atop the walls of the Duskfire capital, Embera gazed down at the chaos erupting below. The Alliance’s ambush had struck like a thunderclap, their forces swarming from every direction, threatening to overwhelm her remaining soldiers.

Yet, amidst the clashing steel and cries of battle, a lone young man carved a path of salvation through the fray. His movements were a blur of ferocity and animalistic, cutting down the enemy with a speed that silenced their screams.

The tide of invaders faltered, their numbers dwindling. Embera’s body trembled, not from fear, but from the awe-inspiring power. While seeing this, her heart raced as she watched the young man wield his strength like a force of nature.

Each strike reverberated with an almost primal energy that seemed to shake the very air. ’This dragon is unlike any other,’ she thought, her mind racing. ’No wonder the Pope fears him enough to demand his death.’

Embera noticed his presence was a defiance against the encroaching darkness that threatened to engulf her empire for abandoning the Alliance when their people came to ask for more soldiers.

She rejected it thanks to the reassurance she got from the young man, and the enemy attacked within hours, bringing death wherever they went. Prompting her to send the young Dragon a message.

Now he had become a beacon of hope for her people and a harbinger of doom for their mutual enemies. The air crackled with the tension of an impending massacre, their fate hanging by a thread.

Moments later, Archer unleashed his power, and the ground itself seemed to shudder in response. From the darkness pooling at his feet, monstrous shadow creatures clawed their way into existence, their forms twisting and writhing like nightmares given flesh.

Eyes glowing like embers, their claws and razor-sharp fangs gleamed as they tore into the Alliance ranks. Soldiers screamed, their voices swallowed by the cacophony of ripping flesh and splintering bone, as the beasts carved through their lines like a scythe through wheat.

The young woman moved so fast she could barely see him, but knew he was there fighting to save Duskfire. Each flick of his wrist summoned another wave of creatures, their forms shifting, some lupine, others serpentine, all relentless.

They surged forward, tearing through armor and shield as if they were parchment. Their attacks left trails of blood and broken bodies in their wake. The Alliance’s formations crumbled, their confidence shattered.

She noticed his eyes burned with an intensity that seemed to pierce the very soul of the battlefield, his control absolute, his purpose unshakable. Her breath caught in her throat, her heart pounding as she witnessed him killing so many people.

Embera’s hands gripped the cold stone of the parapet, her body trembling not from fear but from awe at the spectacle unfolding below. ’This is no mere man,’ she thought, her mind racing. ’He wields the shadows like a god, and the Alliance falls before him like leaves in a storm.’

The Pope’s fears echoed in her mind. Rumors of a dragon in human form, a force so dangerous that even the heavens sought his end. Now, she understood why. He was not just a warrior; he was a Death Dragon straight from the myths.

As the last of the Alliance soldiers fell, their cries fading into an eerie silence, the shadow creatures dissolved back into the darkness from whence they came, leaving only carnage in their wake.

Archer stood amidst the wreckage, his chest heaving, his gaze lifting to meet Embera’s across the distance. Without waiting, he teleported to the Fire Elf, who was staring at him with her wide orange eyes.

’’My creatures will clear the empire and free your people,’’ he revealed. ’’I’ve already asked my wife, Elara, to bring the legions into Duskfire for its protection.’’

At those words, Embera lunged forward and hugged him tightly while mumbling. ’’Thank you for helping me, Arch. They wanted to wipe us out, and I’ve lost too many soldiers in my fights with you.’’

’’Yes, many died, but even more still live,’’ Archer commented.

This made the older woman stiffen as she questioned. ’’What do you mean?’’

’’My legions aren’t bloodthirsty and savages,’’ he responded with a chuckle. ’’We took your wounded and healed them. I even brought the recently deceased back to life.’’
