Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

As the mysterious skeleton revived, the entire Stele Space trembled violently. The sky darkened, and the ground quaked. A terrifying aura surged forth, like an ancient spirit awakening from a deep slumber, sending chills down Lin Langtian’s spine.

Lin Langtian watched the source of this chilling power. The skeletal figure on the throne had slowly risen to its feet, radiating the menacing energy that filled the entire space. It was evident that the overwhelming force belonged to this ancient skeleton.

”Boom!”

The aura was indescribably terrifying. The release of this power caused the sky to change color, and Lin Langtian felt as if the elemental energy of the entire space was rushing toward this reawakened force, as though some unimaginable entity had been summoned.

Despite having prepared a backup plan, Lin Langtian’s hand clenched instinctively. This wasn’t fear; it was a natural response to such a profound power. He knew that under the force of this mysterious skeleton, anything below the five-yuan Nirvana stage would be instantly obliterated like dust.

”Intruders... shall be killed without mercy!”

The skeleton’s hollow eye sockets glowed a fierce red, and in a raspy, ancient voice, it uttered words laced with boundless bloodlust. Its bony hand extended, and with a howl, the energy in the air condensed into a gigantic bone hand, large enough to blot out the sky. It hurtled toward Lin Langtian with crushing force, as if capable of pulverizing a mountain.

Facing such a devastating attack, Lin Langtian had no choice but to act. A black token emerged from his storage pouch, rising above his head and hovering there quietly.

”Boom!”

The black token hung above Lin Langtian, emitting no apparent energy. However, the enormous bone hand, carrying that destructive force, halted in mid-air, as did the elemental energy and the mysterious skeleton itself.

The skeleton’s red eyes locked onto the black token, then, in an act that stunned Lin Langtian, the skeleton slowly bent to one knee and bowed to the token.

Suddenly, the black token began to emit a soft glow. Under this light, the enormous bone hand disintegrated into a thousand fragments that scattered into the air as sparkling particles.

”Buzz...buzz!”

As the black token vibrated with a strange hum, the red glow in the skeleton’s eye sockets dimmed. Then, with deep reverence, it bowed three times to the token. An indistinct voice, carrying ancient sorrow, echoed faintly—a memory of a once-powerful sect, now nothing more than ruins and desolation. All that remained was a fragment of obsession, tirelessly guarding this ancient space.

Seeing this, Lin Langtian felt a wave of admiration for the skeleton’s loyalty and dedication.

After its final bow, the skeleton straightened and raised one bony hand. With a wave, tens of thousands of Nirvana Pills floated around the skeleton, then rapidly began spinning. From these pills, black wisps of smoke started to seep out, flowing into the skeleton’s body.

Watching this, Lin Langtian’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully. These wisps emitted a sinister, poisonous energy—the power of curses.

Lin Langtian recalled that in ancient times, curses were a brutal and vile practice. If anyone consumed these Nirvana Pills, the curse would prevent them from reaching the Nirvana stage and, instead, corrupt their body and mind, transforming them into soulless puppets.

As Lin Langtian pondered, the skeleton had already absorbed all the cursed energy from the Nirvana Pills. With another wave of its hand, the remaining pills floated over to Lin Langtian.

Seeing the vast quantity of Nirvana Pills before him, Lin Langtian couldn’t help but feel elated as he stored them all into his pouch. With close to 200,000 Nirvana Pills in his possession, he had more than enough resources to break through to the half-step Nirvana stage.

”Senior, may I also ask to receive that curse energy?” Lin Langtian asked respectfully after securing the Nirvana Pills. He knew that if he could harness this vast curse energy, even warriors at the three-yuan Nirvana stage could fall into his trap.

The skeleton hesitated before rasping, ”Danger… dangerous…”

”Please rest assured, Senior,” Lin Langtian replied. ”I’m confident in my ability to handle it.”

The skeleton hesitated a moment longer before extending its hand, releasing a small stream of black, toxic energy toward Lin Langtian. Lin Langtian could feel the ominous threat emanating from this cursed energy.

With intense focus, Lin Langtian formed a series of hand seals to encapsulate the curse within a protective sphere of elemental energy. Under the skeleton’s control, the curse was subdued, allowing Lin Langtian to contain it.

Not daring to let it linger, he quickly activated his Golden Spirit Mirror, drawing the cursed energy into its dimensional space, where it would be suppressed by the vast demonic energy within. Only after safely storing the curse in the mirror did Lin Langtian breathe a sigh of relief.

This unexpected trump card pleased him. With this power at his disposal, even Nirvana-level opponents would learn the meaning of fear.

As Lin Langtian completed his preparations, the skeleton once again knelt toward the black token before slowly retreating into the shadows. Its ancient voice, filled with a devotion that transcended death, echoed across the plains.

”Master… I will guard the sect… even if it means my death and the end of all things…”

Hearing the echo of that devoted voice, Lin Langtian was filled with respect. Even in death, this ancient will continued to control the body, protecting the sect with a tenacity and dedication beyond words.
