Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

On the courtyard wall, Lin Langtian and the others leapt out of the crystal mine upon hearing the sounds of an enemy assault and quickly rushed up to the courtyard wall.

Staring at the ominous yellow dust rolling in with malice, Lin Tao’s face tensed, and he barked, ”Everyone, on guard!”

At the same time, Lin Zhi shouted loudly, ”Tiger and Leopard Cavalry, prepare for battle!”

With the stern commands, the entire estate shifted into true alert mode. Elite guards quickly unsheathed their weapons, mounted the courtyard wall, and warily watched the encroaching dust storm.

The Tiger and Leopard Cavalry mounted up as well, a frighteningly fierce aura emanating from the ranks.

As the yellow dust approached, a massive banner, about ten feet long, gradually came into view for Lin Langtian and the others. On the flag, a single bold character, ”Ling,” radiated dominance and raw power.

”As expected, it’s the Ling family from the Great Qing Dynasty!”

Seeing the banner, Lin Tao’s fists clenched tightly.

”This Ling family just won’t give up. Are they really planning to go head-to-head with our Lin clan? Don’t they fear sparking a conflict between the two nations?” Lin Zhi said in a low, dark tone.

”The Great Qing Dynasty is far stronger than the Great Yan Dynasty; even the royal family wouldn’t want to offend them lightly. That’s why the Ling family dares to be so brazen,” Lin Tao replied, his voice heavy.

”Haha! People of the Lin clan, the Ling family has arrived! Open the gates; are you really going to leave us out here?” a loud voice boomed as the thunderous hoofbeats came to a halt just outside Blackrock Manor.

Three black horses stepped forward slowly, each carrying a man radiating intense energy.

On the left was a burly man with broad shoulders, his face marred by a large, bowl-sized scar that commanded awe and respect.

On the right was a tall, gaunt man whose calm face betrayed a chilling, dangerous glint in his eyes.

Lin Langtian narrowed his eyes as he observed them. The aura from these two was no less intense than Lin Zhi’s and Lin Tao’s—both of them were likely masters at the peak of the Transformation Realm!

But soon, Lin Langtian’s attention shifted from them to the one at the forefront of the Ling family’s ranks. This man was tall and imposing, with a fierce expression and a rugged face that exuded a sense of unyielding dominance. Although he didn’t exhibit an intense flow of elemental power, his presence alone was enough to command absolute respect.

Lin Langtian made eye contact with the man, feeling a sudden chill. The sense of pressure he felt was immense, far greater than anything he had felt even from Qingzhu six months ago.

A Transformation Realm peak master!

As the three advanced on horseback, hundreds of Ling family soldiers spread out in formation behind them, their gleaming swords and spiritual weapons reflecting a chilling light. A tense, battle-ready atmosphere shrouded Blackrock Manor.

”Ling family’s three brothers, as members of the Great Qing Dynasty, what are your intentions here?” Lin Tao demanded as he felt his heart sink at the sight of their elite ranks.

The three Ling brothers, known as the ”Dragon, Tiger, and Dog of the Ling Family,” were formidable. Two of them were established masters in the Transformation Realm, while Ling Long, the one known as the ”Dragon of the Ling Family,” had reached the pinnacle of the Transformation Realm!

”Enough talk! Blackrock Manor is our Ling family’s territory, and your Lin clan has occupied it long enough. You’ve benefited greatly—”

”You have one day to retreat, or don’t blame us for what comes next!” bellowed the burly man, known as the ”Tiger of the Ling Family,” his voice brimming with malice.

”Shameless! Blackrock Manor is in the Dalin District and is not only part of the Great Yan Dynasty’s territory but also the property of our Lin clan. Aren’t you afraid of provoking our clan and offending the Great Yan Dynasty?” Lin Zhi’s face darkened, anger building in his tone.

”Hmph, just because you say it’s yours doesn’t make it so. I say it belongs to the Ling family of the Great Qing Dynasty!” sneered the tall, gaunt man, known as the ”Dog of the Ling Family.” Suddenly, he drew a fine, sharp spiritual weapon from his saddle and, with a swift motion, leapt forward, unleashing a powerful blade strike aimed directly at Blackrock Manor’s gate.

Seeing the Ling family’s immediate aggression, Lin Tao was incensed. He shot up into the air to intercept the attack, clashing forcefully with the tall man mid-air.

”Clang, clang, clang!”

Sparks flew as the intense winds from their clash scattered through the air, forcing both men back.

At the same time, Lin Zhi led the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry into the fray. As the elite force of the Lin clan, the cavalry immediately created chaos among the Ling family’s ranks. However, the Ling family’s forces, hailing from the top echelon of the Great Qing Dynasty, soon stabilized and regained control.

The broad-shouldered, scar-faced man, known as Ling Hu, cleaved through several elite cavalry members, his bloodthirsty grin aimed directly at Lin Zhi as he charged forward, laughing as he battled.

Both men were masters in the Transformation Realm, their clashing power creating a vast area no one dared to approach.

For a moment, the battle was evenly matched.

Noticing that Lin clan’s two Transformation Realm masters were engaged, Ling Long, the leader of the Ling family, smiled slightly and then glanced at Blackrock Manor, which, to him, appeared as enticing as a beautiful, vulnerable woman.

”Charge!”

With a confident smile, Ling Long waved his hand, leading the remaining Ling family forces in a deadly charge toward Blackrock Manor.

”All Lin clan defenders, attack!” one of the clan elders shouted with a desperate expression as the enemy approached. But his shout had barely sounded before a large, fierce figure darted forward—the man known as the ”Dragon of the Ling Family” himself!

Ling Long’s aura erupted, unleashing the full might of a Transformation Realm peak master. His palm gathered a fearsome wave of energy, aimed to strike down the Lin clan elder in one blow.

Just as Ling Long’s lethal palm strike was about to land, a green figure suddenly flashed before him, intercepting the attack with the speed of lightning.

”Elder Lin Langtian!”

Seeing the young man’s silhouette, the Lin clan members gasped in astonishment.

”Heh, I’ve long heard of the Dragon of the Ling Family. Today, let’s see what you’ve got!” After saving the elder, Lin Langtian turned to face the cold, fierce-looking middle-aged man, a glint of icy resolve in his eyes.
