Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

As his spirit was pulled into the swirling vortex of light, Lin Langtian’s consciousness wavered. His surroundings rapidly transformed—the stone platform and vast plaza vanished, replaced by an endless starry sky.

Suspended in this vast cosmos, Lin Langtian remained calm, scanning his surroundings. All around him, streams of light moved like shooting stars, each carrying an aura of varying strength. He could faintly sense that each of these lights contained a unique energy signature.

”So, these are the martial techniques stored within the Stele of Creation?” Lin Langtian muttered, watching the meteors streak by, some containing flickering images that seemed to demonstrate martial techniques in action.

Lin Langtian walked calmly through the starlit expanse, reaching out to catch one of the meteor-like lights. It materialized in his hand, dissolving into an ancient-looking book with characters on its cover that glowed faintly.

”Grade Eight Advanced Martial Technique, Asura Finger.”

Barely glancing at the book, Lin Langtian released it and moved deeper into the starlit field, knowing that higher-level techniques awaited him further in. As he advanced, he began to stretch his spiritual energy outward, casting a network like a spider’s web, attempting to reach the soul of the stele itself.

But connecting with the Stele’s soul proved elusive, as no response came even after several attempts. Meanwhile, he noticed an invisible force around him, pushing him back as he moved deeper into the field of techniques.

”The stele’s natural resistance,” he murmured. ”So, reaching the higher-level techniques isn’t so simple.”

This resistance wasn’t particularly forceful but carried a weight that made it difficult to resist. Continuing forward would indeed be challenging. Just as Lin Langtian frowned at this obstacle, he felt a faint hum arise from his core.

A black-gold light pulsed from within him, extending around his body. In response, the resistance dissipated entirely, as if it were afraid of the light.

”So, the Golden Spirit Wheel Mirror even holds sway over the Stele of Creation,” Lin Langtian noted with satisfaction. Clearly, the stele was deeply wary of this powerful relic.

Guided by this black-gold light, Lin Langtian proceeded effortlessly until a large orb of radiant light appeared in the depths of the stars, illuminating a massive stone stele within.

”So, this is the soul of the Stele of Creation. Hiding all the way in here, are you?” Lin Langtian observed the ancient, massive orb in awe, sensing a subtle intelligence within.

After a moment, he reached out and placed his hand gently on the orb. A faint wisp of his spiritual energy extended into the soul, and within moments, it began to respond. A soft light reached out from the stele’s soul, wrapping around Lin Langtian, drawing him further into its depths.

Once fully enveloped, the stars around him vanished, replaced by an empty void filled with gigantic pillars of light. Each pillar radiated an ancient power, filling the air with a timeless aura. Faint images flickered around these pillars—figures, beasts, blades, and swords—all hinting at hidden, powerful techniques.

”Martial Arts of Creation!” Lin Langtian whispered, marveling at the vast array of martial knowledge before him. Only a martial technique of Creation could exude such presence.

The glow of these pillars filled Lin Langtian with awe, yet he was here for something even rarer. He moved deeper, venturing further into the heart of these ancient light pillars with his eyes set on obtaining a Spirit Martial Technique.

As he ventured further, the resistance intensified, but Lin Langtian calmly summoned the Golden Spirit Wheel Mirror’s power once more. The black-gold light expanded, slicing through the resistance like a path through the fog.

With a final step forward, his surroundings shifted. A massive black hand loomed over him, spanning across the void and casting an overwhelming aura. Its presence was chilling, rippling outward in waves so strong they seemed to warp the very fabric of space.

The black hand hovered in the darkness like a divine executioner’s blade, carrying an aura of absolute destruction and desolation.

Lin Langtian stared at the hand, mesmerized. Its intricate, winding patterns seemed to contain forbidden knowledge, so powerful that even the strongest beings would tremble before it. Each line in the pattern was complex and enigmatic, as if woven with the essence of the universe itself.

This technique was astonishingly powerful.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Langtian steadied himself, his gaze drawn to the center of the enormous hand where ancient black characters glowed faintly, exuding an unyielding aura.

”Spirit Martial Technique: Desolate Heaven Destroying Palm.”

The words glowed ominously, filling the void with a chilling, fierce energy.
