Chapter 843: Chapter 311: Commendation and Reunion (Two-in-One Chapter)_4

“Such good fortune, coming to Mingster for a meeting and encountering an elf girl. If I offer her to Duke Drum, I’ll surely receive many valuable rewards.”

The middle-aged man’s name was Sam Yagil, originally one of the captains of the numerous slave capturing teams under the Yakeson Auction House headquarters.

Due to his outstanding performance, he caught the attention of one of the Yakeson Auction House’s shareholders, Duke Drum, and became the Duke’s agent, responsible for the affairs of Yakeson’s branches in several provinces of the Empire.

This time, he came to Mingster because the Mingster Branch was holding a shareholder change meeting.

“Dickson, follow her and see where she’s staying. Perhaps we can take action tonight.” Sam pointed at Anna and said.

“Alright, boss.” The lean, leather-armored man named Dickson eagerly agreed immediately.

With many clients coming and going, coupled with Anna’s immersion in observing, she was wholly unaware that she was being watched. After standing and examining the auction house for a long time, she started heading toward the administrative district.

The servant left behind at Meist County City Rein Mansion told her she could go to the Sword Bearers Mingster Branch to find Rein.

And Dickson tailed her all the way, following Anna to the entrance of the Sword Bearers Mingster Branch.

“Hmm? She’s connected to the Sword Bearers?” Dickson furrowed his brow, watching this scene from afar.

“This is a bit tricky…”

But then, he relaxed his brows, thinking to himself: “As long as it’s not one of those few Diamond Star Swordmen inside the branch, with the boss around, we should be able to handle it.”

“No rush, I’ll just observe for now and find out.”

…

Soon, a tall young man hurried out, accompanied by several young people of similar age.

These were Rein, Neoro, and Viery among others.

Seeing the girl’s friend was such a group of young people.

Dickson’s heart instantly relaxed.

Previously, he had heard that the Bloodtop Mercenary Corps were wiped out in Mingster, and the perpetrator was a Diamond Star captain from the Sword Bearers Mingster Branch.

But this group of young people in front of him looked nothing like the Diamond Star team.

Because in his impression, not to mention the Diamond Star team, even a Gold Level team would consist of men with beards or rugged faces, and women who were mature and alluring, given their age would be at least twenty-seven or twenty-eight.

Unlike this group of young people, some of whom he couldn’t tell if they were even twenty years old?

The one with the shield looked somewhat older, but probably only in his early twenties at most.

Just a bunch of rookies.

At most Silver Level team members, possibly even newbies!

Dickson smiled, quickly jotting down the investigation details on a small note, and soon released a small but incredibly fast Rain Swift from his pocket.

Watching the Rain Swift dart into the sky, Dickson hummed a little tune, tailing Rein and his group all the way.

When Rein saw Anna, he was naturally overjoyed; upon hearing the guard’s report saying ‘A girl named Anna is waiting outside,’

He rushed over, and Neoro and the others, seeing the excitement and happiness overflowing on their captain’s face, immediately followed out of curiosity.

Seeing Anna, they began to examine her.

“Anna, long time no see. This time, don’t leave without saying goodbye.” Rein originally wanted to reach out but thought of Anna’s shy nature and the team members’ watchful eyes, he let his raised hand fall.

“Long time no see, Rein! Wow~ Rein, you’ve grown so much taller! Last time, I was following Aunt Delana, it was really embarrassing.” Seeing Rein, Anna’s beautiful eyes lit up, and she measured their height difference with her hand, exclaiming in surprise.

“You’ve changed a lot too. By the way, Anna, did you come with Aunt this time?” Rein smiled and took a closer look at Anna, noticing her significant transformation.

From a frail figure to a well-nourished and developed one now.

“Uh… no, actually I sneaked out this time.” Anna shyly lowered her head and said softly.

Upon hearing this, the boys behind Rein looked at each other in disbelief.

Whoa! Our captain must be really something! Managed to infatuate such a young maiden to travel all the way alone to find him.

A real charmer!

Though the girl in front, with her figure and girl-next-door vibe, wasn’t bad, she just… wasn’t pretty enough, feeling somewhat unworthy of the captain.

Viery scrutinized the girl and then glanced at the red-haired beauty Evelyn beside him. If he had to choose, of course, he’d choose the prettier Evelyn.

After some pleasantries, Rein led the way, accompanying Anna towards his mansion.

Anna missed Bo He very much.

After walking a short distance, Rein suddenly stopped, and they heard him say: “Don’t turn around, someone’s tailing us back there.”

As soon as he spoke!

Rein left a shadow at the spot, and with the speed of lightning, ‘whoosh,’ arrived right in front of Dickson.

It was the newly mastered Intermediate Secret Technique—Shadow Step!

And Dickson was leisurely tracking them because he instinctively believed Rein and his team were Sword Bearer rookies, so he hadn’t kept a far distance.

Suddenly, he saw a blur as a tall figure appeared suddenly like a wall in front of him.

Just as he was about to curse, his eyes fell, and his heart clutched suddenly, his back drenched with cold sweat.

“You… you…” Dickson wore an expression as if he’d seen a ghost, trembling as he pointed at Rein.
