Chapter 836: Chapter 310 Advanced Meditation Method (2-in-1 Chapter)

“Rein, have you heard about what’s happening in the Imperial City?” Mogaro said with a hint of urgency when he first saw Rein.

“Yes, Admiral Edward just held a meeting with us. The Empire Emperor is heavily injured, and the situation is quite uneasy now.”

“It’s more than just uneasy. The exchanges between the Empire and the school are now paused, and all active personnel have been recalled. The plan for you to advance your studies at the school will likely have to be temporarily shelved.”

Rein nodded at Mogaro’s words.

During Admiral Edward’s emergency meeting, he had anticipated this mentally, so he wasn’t too emotionally affected. Of course, there was a slight disappointment.

“Moreover, I must return to Temrael shortly to repair the super-giant War Magic Statue, the ‘Magic Steel Giant’. I probably won’t be able to take care of you for a while.” Mogaro looked at Rein with regret.

For such a talented disciple, he originally wanted to guide him well.

“No rush, Master Mogaro, let’s wait until the situation stabilizes,” Rein comforted him.

“No, you might not be in a rush, but I am! You are my disciple, and I’ve decided!” Mogaro’s tone immediately became high-pitched.

He spoke excitedly while pulling out a sheepskin scroll emitting a dense Witchcraft Light from his arms and handed it to Rein.

“Here! This is the contract to join the Bixiu Gouzhuang School. Look it over, and sign it if there’s no issue. I’ve already discussed your situation with the dean.”

“After you sign, you are an official member of the school, and you will be my disciple—nobody can take you away….”

“Hmm? A contract?” Rein was slightly surprised as he took it. He didn’t expect Mogaro to be more anxious than him.

Apparently, the Wizard aptitude he showed really intrigued Mogaro.

However…

Through his initial interactions with Mogaro, Rein had a rather good impression of him.

Mogaro was quite straightforward, or perhaps one could say ’emotions written on his face.’

Rein could feel that Mogaro might have a high proficiency in Puppetry Technique, but his strength was very average, only at the Level 1 Wizard Peak.

This point becomes clear in a comparison with Duke Advisor Minor, a Second-level Liquidization Wizard known to Rein, whose aura is considerably stronger.

Even though the other party’s strength wasn’t very strong, Rein was looking for more of a guide on the wizard path.

In terms of strength, being strong is naturally better, but if the strength is average, it’s not too concerning either.

After all, with the system in his hands, even if they are stronger than Rein now, he will likely soon surpass them.

Of course, when it comes to contract signing, Rein naturally wanted to review it carefully.

He took the scroll filled with witchcraft fluctuations and opened it to read through it item by item.

A few minutes later, Rein found no issues. The contract terms mostly stated ‘not to harm the interests of the school,’ ‘not to spread the school’s secret knowledge,’ and similar contents.

After another careful check, Rein didn’t hesitate anymore and picked up the quill, ‘swish swish,’ signing his name.

At this moment, the sheepskin scroll contract suddenly emitted a burst of white light and quickly weathered and disappeared. Simultaneously, a complex witchcraft symbol appeared in the air, flashed a few times, and then vanished as well.

“Hmm, very good!” Mogaro, who had been anxiously waiting on the side, was overjoyed after checking the signature ‘Rein Carlan’ on the scroll.

In fact, Mogaro cared more about Rein joining the school than Rein himself did.

After that day, he immediately contacted the school.

And after receiving news from the Imperial City this morning, he was very anxious and quickly came over with the contract and a few other items.

“In that case, I have a few things here, and I can give them to you now.” Mogaro said as he took out a transparent, prismatic crystal from his arms.

The crystal had eight faces, consisting of two regular tetrahedrons stacked together, about two fingers wide and one finger long.

“This is a memory crystal, storing the most important Advanced Meditation Method of the school, ‘Steel Heart,’ first level.”

“Although it’s only the first level of the Advanced Meditation Method, it’s a secret not passed on among major Wizard schools. Generally speaking, new members of the school have over a year of observation period, along with background checks and assessments.”

“But… you are different. With your aptitude and status, these procedures seemed a bit redundant to me.”

“The Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method allows official wizards to enhance and condense their spiritual power further and has an additional ability to improve metal manipulation, making it perfect for you.”

“However, the entry-level difficulty is quite high; you should take your time to understand it.”

At this point, Mogaro took out a slightly thicker book from his arms and handed it to Rein.

“The Puppetry Technique principles are relatively easy to grasp, considered easy to learn but difficult to master. Focus on the creation principles of Metal Puppets. This matches your metal affinity well, allowing you to make the most of the combat power of Metal Puppets.”

“As for others, such as the Clay Series Puppet, Rock System Puppet, and Flesh Series Puppet, you don’t need to master them; a cursory understanding will suffice.”

“And lastly, the crafting method for the entry-level battle puppet—Iron Plate Battle Puppet.” Mogaro pulled out an ancient sheepskin scroll and handed it to Rein.
