Chapter 818: Chapter 305: Mirror of Fluctuations (Double Chapter)_3

Beside her, a young man, also one of the newly appointed barons this time, suddenly turned red-faced, possibly due to being her suitor or boyfriend.

He immediately stood up as if he was about to launch an attack.

But in the next second, he was hit by a column of black flames, instantly becoming a burning figure, emitting a painful wail!

“Oh no! Avadis!” The young and beautiful noble lady exclaimed in terror, covering her mouth with her hand.

“Black Flame Wall, a Second Order Evil Magic, everyone beware, the opponent is at least a Second Order Evil Mage.” Neoro whispered.

Just a moment ago, Rein was watching the other side with interest, listening to what he thought was some amusing remarks, while also observing the opponent’s strength and waiting for possible backup from the Imperial side.

But that scene just now made his face turn ugly.

Because among the three women named by the opponent, two were sitting beside him, respectively the beautiful woman Jennifer and the red-haired Evelyn.

“What did you just say? I didn’t seem to hear it clearly, could you please say it again.” Rein said calmly, slowly standing up.

“Oh, you’re not bad! You’re actually a Great Knight, that’s rare. Very well, you are qualified to hear me say it again.” Bergis looked at Rein with slight surprise.

After all, he had just burned a young knight to cinders with his Black Flame Wall and yet did not scare the opponent, which Bergis found somewhat interesting.

It was as if he had just stomped a crab to death, only for another stronger crab to crawl out beside it; that was his feeling, merely that.

He merely found it interesting, with a condescending, mocking gaze.

“I said let her and her come over; it seems these two women are yours? You’re quite lucky! How about this, if you’re willing to be a bystander, I might spare your life.”

Bergis seemed to understand the relationship between Rein and the two women, immediately thought of a more stimulating idea, and couldn’t help but feel eager inside.

“Then you can go to hell!”

Before the words even finished, Bergis saw a blur in front of his eyes, and instantly his heart rang with alarm!

But at this moment he didn’t have time to deploy stronger sorcery, instinctively crossed his arms in front of his chest, bent his knees slightly, presenting a blocking defensive posture, and a black shield immediately appeared on his body, seemingly an innate wizardry for protection.

At the same time, his body was also instantly entwined in black flame vines.

The guests observing beside Rein in the aisle now seemed to be blown away by a hurricane, swaying all over the place.

Many noble ladies and young women’s long dresses flew up, covering their heads, revealing white and dazzling plump thighs.

Rein had just slowly gotten up and taken a few steps away instead of launching a direct attack for this reason.

Because the airflow generated when he sprinted with full power was comparable to the muzzle storm of a cannon shot, and even though the Peak Knight Evelyn could withstand it, the beautiful woman Jennifer was merely a normal person and could absolutely not withstand it.

A silver figure drew a straight line, suddenly appearing before Bergis, with a suddenly appearing ebony warhammer in hand.

It was the nearly full-powered Top Secret Technique ‘Annihilating Hammer’!

“Boom!!!”

Black Flame Shelter, broken!

Innate wizardry ‘Shadow Shield’ broken!

The warhammer made of Hardened Essence Gold instantly deformed and broke through the double defenses, heavily striking on Bergis’ crossed forearms!

“Bang!!”

Bergis, like being hit by a giant beast, had his two forearms bent in an unnatural folding state, and he was hurled through the air like a cannonball for over a dozen meters!

“Boom!!”

His entire body embedded into the marble wall behind the dais.

At this moment, the hard marble surface presented a crater-like depression, with radiating spiderweb-like cracks spreading all around.

“Cough~~~ Cough~~~”

Bergis was seen coughing up blood while sliding down from the wall, like a boneless mass of flesh.

At this moment, Bergis was furious!

He was one of the top leaders of the order, responsible for nearly half the activities in Mingster Province.

Moreover, he was very likely to succeed Lord Exeter as the Great Priest of Mingster Province, yet he was beaten so miserably by some unknown nobody!

The key point was that the opponent had such strong ability yet made a sudden assault!

He only managed to utilize about fifty to sixty percent of his strength before being severely injured.

The heartburn from his anger caused Bergis to cough up even more blood, his face turning even redder!

He struggled to get up, to launch a counterattack, but at this moment, both his hands were already shattered into bone fragments, with more than ten ribs also broken, inserting into his lungs, making movement extremely difficult…

He tried several times but failed….

“Lord Bergis!” The Black Flame Monks beside him watched the scene slack-jawed and speechless, overwhelmed with shock!

Lord Bergis was specialized in body enhancement and combat as a Second Order Evil Mage.

His combat power should have been above a general Second Level Liquidized Wizard, yet in just one strike, this young man in front of them beat him into such a state!

Could this be the Imperial side’s trump card?

Has their action thus failed?
