Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Through the communication device, Gao Yuanyi issued instructions to Wei:

”Wei, change form, it’s time to run.”

Upon hearing Gao Yuanyi’s voice, the stone in Wei’s heart finally fell.

No matter if Gao Yuanyi decides to attack the Demon King again in the future or fulfills her wish to find a safe place to live together forever... As long as they escape from here, the possibilities for their future lives are endless.

Before heading to Ice Moon Snow Peak, Gao Yuanyi mentioned a retreat plan in case his initial plan failed. If they follow that plan, it should work.

Without delay, Wei, whose consciousness was foggy, gathered her spirit despite the dense Killing Intent, and her fingers quickly danced across the control panel of the battle wagon, inputting commands.

The rate at which the battle wagon fired Magic slowed down, directly abandoning the heavy wheels connected to its frame, as the differently shaped boxes continuously detached from the wagon, fitting onto the rapidly transforming wagon under Wei’s control, forming a giant launch platform.

As the wagon transformed, Gao Yuanyi launched another attack on the Demon King again; he must delay the Demon King to buy time for the wagon’s transformation.

Even if he couldn’t harm the Demon King’s body right now, as long as he could restrict him, there should be a chance to escape.

But can they really escape? What happens after they run away?

Various thoughts filled Gao Yuanyi’s heart.

Not long ago, he decided to attack the Demon King because he believed they couldn’t escape. But now, he’s trying hard to convince himself that they can indeed escape...

Dispelling the chaotic thoughts in his heart, Gao Yuanyi decided to focus on one thing: how to escape from the Demon King’s grasp, leaving other concerns until after the escape.

Gao Yuanyi tried hard to recall every detail of his confrontation with the Demon King, seeking ways to delay.

If the Shield Overload had hit the Demon King’s Armor earlier, the armor would have been temporarily damaged or rendered ineffective from the excessive damage, forcing the Demon King to release parts of his armor, allowing the punch to land.

Hitting the Demon King wasn’t a coincidence; it utilized the control effect of the Mandala Pollen Bomb and the surprise of the Ghost Illusion Burst.

Since that’s the case...

Gao Yuanyi retrieved another Mandala Pollen Bomb from the System and threw it towards the Demon King.

The tools for controlling the enemy are not limited to just the Mandala Pollen Bomb.

The Demon King should have used a Skill to disarm the Mandala Pollen Bomb earlier, but this time, the pollen bomb might cause hallucinations for him.

Even if it doesn’t, it will definitely gain a little bit of time like the last time.

As long as they gain time, there is a chance to link the control chain and buy more time.

The Mandala Pollen Bomb exploded, releasing a large amount of a deep yellow mist, enveloping the Demon King, yet the next second the deep yellow mist slowed down, forming a slow-moving deep yellow cloud in mid-air.

The Black Mist surrounding the Demon King and the Magic detonated near Gao Yuanyi also slowed down alongside the deep yellow mist, gradually coming to a complete standstill as if time froze.

This scene left Gao Yuanyi utterly stunned.

What is happening? Why did it turn out this way?

Beneath the helmet, purple light flickered, and the Demon King, having sheathed his sword, raised his right hand, seemingly in complete control of everything.

”The Fairy’s Magic Stone is quite a precious block of condensed Magic Power... actually, this isn’t entirely accurate.

Explaining it is quite troublesome.

Just know that I’m very grateful that you brought so much Magic Power here.

Otherwise, gathering Magic Power would take some time.

I’ll borrow this Magic Power for a while.

Since you’ve seen it, showing you a little more won’t hurt.

If I don’t reveal a little true skill, killing you remains somewhat troublesome.”

The Demon King continued to keep his right hand raised, a black-purple bracelet falling from his wrist.

Gao Yuanyi immediately became vigilant, a voice from Laplace echoed in his mind:

”Yuan Yi, the surrounding Magic Power suddenly stagnated, now it’s rushing toward the Demon King. I have an ominous premonition, quickly use that move to escape!”

Gao Yuanyi knew exactly which move Laplace referred to, but if he used it lightly, later, when Wei transformed the battle wagon into a lightweight escape device, he wouldn’t be able to assist her in leaving quickly.

Using that skill now is akin to drinking poison.

Just as Gao Yuanyi was about to ask Laplace for a solution, a small vortex appeared in the Demon King’s hand, the once frozen Magic Power began to move again, rushing to the Demon King’s palm, swirling into the vortex, forming a spotless Light Sphere.

Even the deep yellow smoke emitted by the Mandala Pollen Bomb thrown by Gao Yuanyi lost its lock-on ability, drifting towards the Demon King’s hand, forming a pure Magic Power.

Inside the battle wagon, Wei’s headphones sounded an alarm, detecting an extremely dangerous signal: all recently fired Magic was captured by the Demon King and refined into Magic Power, so much so that a Super Large Magic formed effortlessly in the Demon King’s palm.

”If he attacks Gao Yuanyi, the consequences will be imaginable.”

Though the wagon hadn’t fully switched to its escape state, and the launch platform was just completed, Wei resolutely pressed the start button. The launch platform emitted an incredibly loud roar, using all its Magic Power to apply an extraordinarily powerful propulsion Magic to the end of the wagon.

”Whoosh—” with a sound, an escape vehicle only a third the size of the battle wagon shot out from the platform, pulling numerous boxes not fully detached, making a mad dash towards Gao Yuanyi to pick him up and escape before the Demon King could release his Magic.

Gao Yuanyi took a deep breath, attempting another attack to restraint the Demon King with a fierce offensive.

However, it was already too late.

An unimaginable oppressive force released from the Demon King, instantly knocking Gao Yuanyi back several meters.

As Gao Yuanyi’s senses returned, he immediately looked at the Demon King.

He saw the Demon King extending his index finger towards the quickly approaching escape device, the Light Sphere positioned at the tip of his finger.

”Zoom—” with a sound, a white beam shot out from the Demon King’s fingertip.

The white beam expanded while flying, and in the blink of an eye, collided with the battle wagon Wei drove, thoroughly engulfing it.

Gao Yuanyi’s eyes widened, his mouth agape.

As the beam faded, the wagon that had been charging madly towards him disappeared, leaving only a heap of scrap metal.

Unbelievable... just one strike, destroyed the wagon Wei and I built together with ease...

Wei... what happened to Wei?

Gao Yuanyi wanted to rush over immediately to confirm Wei’s status, but the Demon King’s emotionless voice rang in his ear.

”It’s a battle now, losing focus can lead to defeat.”

The Demon King hadn’t unleashed all the gathered Magic Power, leaving a portion in his hand, from which emerged a glowing Magic Sword.

”Gao Yuanyi, be careful...”

Laplace’s words hadn’t finished before disappearing completely from Gao Yuanyi’s mind.

With the Magic Sword in hand, the Demon King effortlessly severed the arm Gao Yuanyi wore Laplace on.
