Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Yang Yu’s attack arrived once more, and the [Count Blood] simply abandoned using his eyes to observe as a pool of dense purple liquid appeared beneath his feet.

This move was both [Poison Swamp] and yet not completely a Poison Swamp.

The dense purple liquid rose from both sides like wrapping dumplings, enveloping [Count Blood] into an ”egg” that obscured what lay inside.

A large amount of purple Poison Fog erupted from the ”egg”, instantly filling the entire room until you couldn’t see your hand in front of you.

The ”egg” [Count Blood] was hiding in and the lingering Poison Fog became one.

Within this Poison Fog, [Count Blood]’s Magic Power was intermixed.

Reattaching the severed arm to its original place, [Count Blood] used the trajectory created by his Magic Power to catch Yang Yu’s movements.

Yang Yu approached, and [Count Blood] focused his thoughts, preparing his defense.

Perhaps losing sight, Yang Yu’s Sword Blade missed, scraping past the [Count Blood]’s eggshell-like defensive poison.

[Count Blood] saw an opportunity, originally dead pale hands started to flow with lines of blood red, forming sharp Hand Armor at the fingertips.

This was the weapon of [Count Blood], a piece of Legendary Equipment, that could absorb a certain amount of Magic Power and life from enemies as long as damage was inflicted within a certain range.

[Count Blood] felt that no one was more suited for this Equipment than him.

His poison had sustained damage, as long as close to the enemy, he could rely on this Equipment to recover at any time and place.

Originally, [Count Blood] did not want to use this weapon, the Equipment required Black Magic for operation, possessing tremendous destructiveness, so using this Equipment would exponentially reduce durability and gradually lose effectiveness.

Even if Legendary Equipment had a certain self-repair capability, there was no way to quickly repair all damage.

The target of [Count Blood] was the Demon King and the Devil King’s Power, if possible, he hoped to use this Equipment in the battle against the Demon King.

But now, the Magic Power within [Count Blood] was almost depleted by his lavish spending, Yang Yu’s fierce offensive forced [Count Blood] to reveal his cards one after another.

”This time, it’s my turn to decide victory or defeat.”

Another black orb appeared in [Count Blood]’s hand, he allowed no chance for failure again.

Just as his fingers were prepared to crush the orb containing the Black Magic, Yang Yu’s Sword Blade effortlessly pierced [Count Blood]’s eggshell-like defense.

The Sword Blade pierced the gap between [Count Blood]’s fingers, and Yang Yu flicked upward, actually picking up the black orb.

[Count Blood] watched incredulously at the crack in the defense, Yang Yu’s sword continued to pierce his finger gaps, aiming at his chest.

”How did he do it? Why can he sense my whereabouts?”

In [Count Blood]’s surprise, Yang Yu’s sword blade once again pierced [Count Blood]’s heart.

Actually, Yang Yu didn’t see [Count Blood]’s location.

[Count Blood] always thought he was fighting solely with Yang Yu, overlooking the fact that Yang Yu was operating within Helot.

Slimes have a unique way of perceiving their surroundings, even without eyes, they know what the outside world looks like, able to move freely in dark caves and ”see” the stones in the river.

How could mere mist cover Slime’s perception abilities?

Helot constructed [Count Blood]’s outline in Yang Yu’s eyes with light dots, allowing Yang Yu to perceive [Count Blood]’s every move as though with X-ray vision.

Why did the first attack miss?

This was naturally to reduce [Count Blood]’s alertness.

If from the start he revealed ”[Count Blood], the Poison Fog you release is worthless”, how could he lure [Count Blood] into continuously expending what little magic to maintain this self-deceiving Poison Fog.

The first attack missed, the second attack hit, releasing Poison Fog might lead the person who generated it to believe its success was mere luck, thus continuing to maintain the fog.

The subconscious thought many people harbor is, ”Though I worked hard, it seemed futile or completely wrong, genuinely admitting to failure or mistake would make me look foolish” derived from their aversion to loss.

Faced with a 100% chance to lose fifty bucks versus a 50% chance of losing a hundred and ten bucks or not losing anything, many opt for the latter.

This springs from the innate sense of fortune.

Yang Yu was unsure if [Count Blood] had this fortuitous mentality, yet there’s no harm in trying, should [Count Blood] eliminate the Poison Fog, it would merely be regarded as missing an attack.

With Yang Yu’s attack capabilities, it would be impossible to face [Count Blood] with twice [Sacrifice Regeneration] stacking, draining [Count Blood]’s blood empty to decide victory in one fell swoop.

[Count Blood]’s Magic Power was less than 10%, the result from this attack far exceeded Yang Yu’s expectations, now the focus was ensuring [Count Blood] couldn’t replenish Magic Power.

Without Magic Power supply, [Count Blood] would only become a rather bothersome super soldier.

Yang Yu drew the long sword from [Count Blood]’s chest, swinging again, [Count Blood] dodged rightward, causing Yang Yu’s attack to miss once more.

This time, it was also intentional by Yang Yu.

[Count Blood] furrowed his brows with immense doubt, was it merely coincidence?

Stretching out his hand, [Count Blood] called back the black orb Yang Yu struck down.

As soon as the black orb fell into [Count Blood]’s hand, Yang Yu launched another swift slash.

Wearing Hand Armor, [Count Blood] couldn’t stably hold the orb as before; the black orb was again knocked from his hand by Yang Yu.

With continuously furrowed brows,[Count Blood] sensed something fishy.

Could Yang Yu perceive the orb’s position within this fog, judging [Count Blood]’s location based on the orb’s movement path?

[Count Blood] ceased calling the orb back, attempting to move within the fog, Yang Yu swayed his head left and right in place, then began moving randomly within the room.

”So that’s how it is. Under the circumstances where my actions aren’t visible, use random movement to evade my attacks as much as possible?”

[Count Blood]’s serious expression gradually relaxed, now aware of Yang Yu’s strategy, he naturally could consider a myriad of counter-strategies against Yang Yu.

This might even be an opportunity.

The strength Yang Yu possessed far exceeded [Count Blood]’s expectations, given Yang Yu’s bold offense within the thick Poison Fog to delay in protecting his comrades, he must seize this rare opportunity to entirely erase Yang Yu from this world.

[Count Blood] had vowed never to be deceived by Yang Yu’s acting again.

However, when a hint of hope emerged among humiliation, [Count Blood] cast aside all previous considerations, his mind filled only with ”the rare chance must dispose of this man to prevent endless future troubles. Given Yang Yu and his comrades’ capabilities, once they escape from here, the chance of catching them again is very slim. Miss now and the chance is gone.”, thereby plunging step by step into Yang Yu’s intricate trap.
