Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”This is truly impressive!”

The woman with sharp horned giant arms looked up at the soaring black light and the gradually cracking Eternal Night Barrier, unable to help but exclaim.

A two-headed poison-tooth wild boar charged at her, and the woman with sharp horned giant arms clenched her fist, smashing the two-headed wild boar into pieces with one punch.

Ruiert Kola utilized the time Yang Yu attacked [Count Blood], breaking the chains on himself and using the teleportation array set up in the castle to leave.

Luckily, after sensing something was wrong with [Count Blood], Ruiert Kola remained cautious.

Aside from the teleportation array in the castle, Ruiert Kola had also set up another teleportation array in the direction of his escape.

As long as Ruiert Kola could get to that teleportation array, he could leave this island.

Ruiert Kola didn’t know if [Count Blood] was still alive or how the battle was progressing, but everyone on the island should be focused on the fight, making it the best opportunity to escape.

Soon, Ruiert Kola found the array he had set up previously, walked into the array without hesitation, and activated the teleportation array.

”People in this world are really capable! Thanks to you all this time!”

Sunlight shone through gaps in the leaves onto Ruiert Kola’s location, abruptly halting his actions as he activated the array.

A gentle breeze blew by, wrapped in magic power, flowing towards the depths of the island.

”That guy [Count Blood] claims to be making gifts for the Demon King Army, but in reality, he’s accumulating power for himself.

The direction of the magic power flow is towards his research lab.

I bet that guy has hit big trouble and needs the specimens from the research lab to come help.

This magic power surge is quite unusual.

Such a great opportunity, those things left there might interfere with Lord Demon King’s plan, it’s better to destroy them completely before they grow strong.”

If by chance the cultivation device for those invading monster gets destroyed, causing them to lose control...

That would count as paying back the favor those invaders gave me by creating an opportunity to escape.”

Without further ado, Ruiert Kola dashed in the direction of the surging magic power, running quickly.

To be able to push [Count Blood] to that extent, Ruiert Kola believed that with the skills of those invaders, they could surely hold on for a bit longer.

Meanwhile, inside the research lab, the Enchanting Demon Researcher was busy non-stop, operating various devices, with various indicator lights flashing continuously.

”Number A-1086, in the embryo state, completely abandoned.”

”Number B-541, nearly matured, accelerate cultivation, prepare for release.”

”Magic Battery removed, prepare to destroy.”

”All entrances opened, re-inject magic power into the closed incubator.”

The reports from subordinates were incessant, and Gorwey, the head of the research lab, removed the ring in her hand that had completely lost its luster.

Up until now, she still couldn’t believe that her master [Count Blood] was already dead.

The ring doesn’t lie.

This ring contains [Count Blood]’s magic power, apart from being used for communication, Gorwey could gauge her master’s status through the contained magic power.

The ring would lose its efficacy only if it was destroyed or if the person who injected magic power into it died.

The ring had always been in her hand, not destroyed.

Gorwey hoped it was a problem with the ring, but after checking repeatedly, the ring had no issues, leaving only one possibility...

No matter how many times she tried, Gorwey couldn’t contact her master, and her heart eventually accepted this fact without any emotional turbulence.

Although working under [Count Blood], she wasn’t entirely dependent on [Count Blood] like other Enchanting Demons.

Gorwey always remembered that her great-grandmother told her that the Enchanting Demons under [Count Blood]’s command were once relatively independent.

But in the last Human-Demon war, the Demon Clan was defeated, and their ancestors as branches of the former Demon King joined [Count Blood]’s command for protection.

Knowing this, Gorwey never developed a strong sense of belonging to [Count Blood]. What mattered to her was having a place to conduct research.

Gorwey sent all the sorted data from her subordinates into storage magic.

If she could offer this data to Lord Demon King, she should still be able to secure research opportunities.

In constant research, Gorwey had developed a keen interest in the incubation device, dedicating her life to unravel the machine’s operating principles and understanding what those things she saw were.

Despite the reluctance of destroying what was here, it was better than leaving them intact.

Gorwey had left a few empty devices, enough for her research.

Now her only concern was the incubator that absorbed a large amount of magic. Absorbing so much magic indicates something inside requires that amount for cultivation.

The incubator was found in the ruins of Demon King City, and Gorwey highly wanted to see what was inside.

If it produced a super soldier obeying all commands, aiding those researchers with little combat capability to repel the invaders, perhaps they wouldn’t need to flee.

But Gorwey wasn’t sure how much magic the incubator needed to open.

She could only hope it would open before they left.

Unfortunately, time seemed to be running out for Gorwey, a surveillance tool set around the research lab observed a sharp horned giant-arm woman breaking through layers of magic beast defenses, charging straight towards the research lab.

...

...

The sea surface sparkled with sword light and blade shadows, two obscured figures collided once more, the intense sound of metal clashing echoed across the sea, black currents flickered and vanished in mid-air.

One figure was knocked back several meters by another.

The darkness enveloping the sky shattered completely, sunlight scattered across the sea surface, illuminating the clear yet deep seawater.

The waves rippled, reflecting Kula Doreen’s slightly tired expression.

The impact of black magic began gradually appearing last night, the more he moved, the stronger the things in his body vibrated.

Whenever he used internal energy to release skills, certain parts of Kula Doreen would ache as if being pulled and twisted.

Yet Kula Doreen did not halt using skills for this reason, allowing himself to fall behind, and instead, just like last night, he abandoned defense, using all his power.

Long-term battle had already left his body overburdened, this might be the final strike.

Kula Doreen leveled his long knife, in a blink, dashed several meters, his figure vanished completely.

Aslit’s hand also trembled slightly due to black magic, but she immediately wielded her blade to meet the enemy.
