Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Climbing the stairs, Yang Yu glanced at Hualan behind him,

”Hualan, help me contact Bai Jin.”

Hualan summoned a thumb-sized ghost little fish, which quickly burrowed into Yang Yu’s ear, connecting with Bai Jin in no time.

”What’s the matter?” Bai Jin’s words were concise.

During the time Yang Yu and the others descended underground to battle with [Count Blood], Bai Jin focused intensely, defeating several enchanting demons. Yet Aslit remained aggressive, continuously trying to corner her.

Using the magic she’s learned and her knowledge of Aslit, Bai Jin constantly adjusted her strategies and tactics, narrowly escaping danger multiple times.

Though struck by Aslit once or twice, it didn’t cause significant harm.

Receiving Yang Yu’s communication, a hint of worry flashed in Bai Jin’s eyes. If Yang Yu needed help, how should she act?

The burden on her shoulders lessened considerably, but Bai Jin still couldn’t easily extricate herself.

Through the system panel, Yang Yu could see Bai Jin’s status, knowing she was still fighting.

Though not wanting to interfere with Bai Jin’s battle, Yang Yu had to contact Bai Jin just in case:

”Bai Jin, if you don’t have time to respond, don’t worry about it.

Listen, I roughly know the magic [Count Blood] is going to use now.

We can’t guarantee to restrain him completely; he might head over to your side.

He can fly, we can’t. Once he’s airborne, the things we can do become quite limited. If he attacks you or you can’t handle him and the enchanting demon at the same time, lead them towards me.

The most important thing, remember what I said, as long as you’re in a place with sunlight, [Count Blood] won’t dare harm you.

If you find some downtime, try to get some sunlight.”

Yang Yu’s voice was hurried, some words were incoherent, yet Bai Jin archived every word Yang Yu said in her mind.

Cutting off the contact with Bai Jin, Yang Yu asked Hualan to try connecting with Luo Luosi.

Hualan’s spiritual shark was still in the ocean, but under the fierce attack of the brown whale, the enormous spiritual shark had been battered and torn.

Many spiritual bodies had completely dissipated, leaving behind gaping holes.

Reconnecting with the spiritual shark, Hualan directed the spiritual shark to split into several spiritual bodies, bypass the sea surface, traverse the besieged war-torn ship, to search for Luo Luosi.

With the barrier of the warship destroyed, the flying Hapi continued to fiercely dismantle the ship, even attacking the ship’s skeleton.

Even though He Meng and others persistently stopped Hapi, those Hapi fought tirelessly to completely dismantle the ship, throwing everything into the sea.

Hapi’s leader Zhimu was deadlocked in battle against Kula Doreen and his daughter using sharp claws and black magic - an impasse with no clear outcome.

However, just dragging it out, as the black magic eroded Zhimu’s body, the scales of victory would tip in favor of Kula Doreen and his daughter.

Luo Luosi successfully received communication, Yang Yu spoke swiftly, delivering a slew of information, Luo Luosi appeared serious, nodded, and replied:

”I understand. I will adapt accordingly and please be careful yourselves.”

Disconnecting from Luo Luosi, Yang Yu and the others tread back onto the castle floor.

Yang Yu immediately commanded everyone to bombard the walls, creating large holes, allowing the bright sunlight to stream through the openings into the castle.

Vampires fear sunlight, as long as under the bright sun, [Count Blood] can never approach.

Theoretically, this should be the case.

[Count Blood], through the previously left hole, swiftly appeared before Yang Yu and his team.

In the sunlight-dappled hall, [Count Blood] spread his bat robe, his hair gently floating in the breeze, his red-glowing eyes filled with killing intent,

”Now, can you still say you can escape?”

Yang Yu forcefully slammed the shield into the wall, shattering the stones, letting another beam of bright sunlight pour in.

Counting this ray, the bright sunlight already illuminated most of the castle.

Yang Yu gave [Count Blood] a smile, teasingly said:

”It is you who can’t escape, dear Count.

To fall for such a simple trick doesn’t resemble cautious you at all.

You should know better than anyone what happens when vampires are exposed to sunlight.

You are surrounded by sunlight, obediently surrender.”

[Count Blood] put his hand on his face, couldn’t help but laugh:

”Is this your whole plan?”

”The simplest strategy is often also the most effective strategy.” Yang Yu was supremely confident.

”I know you withdrew quickly to lure me out. Do you really think I would come unprepared?

Your confidence will eventually be your downfall.”

”Whether it’s someone’s confidence that led to another’s downfall remains uncertain!”

Yang Yu pulled out a mirror, its smooth surface reflecting the sunlight.

[Count Blood] reached out, snapping his fingers with a resonant sound.

With the snap, everything seemed to pause, as a black light beam shot skywards from the castle center, completely enveloping [Count Blood].

The sunlight reflected by the mirror disappeared without a trace upon touching the black light beam.

In an instant, the black light beam surrounding [Count Blood] spread outward, bringing endless darkness.

The entire process took only a second or two; one moment Luo Luosi had the blazing sun overhead, the next it became an unending dark night, with a blood moon hanging high, casting an ominous glow.

Kula Doreen and Qiuye, teamed up to repel Zhimu, also noticed this sudden darkness.

”What exactly is going on?” Kula Doreen was full of confusion.

”Did that vampire count change the time?” Qiuye was uncertain and doubtful.

As the two lost focus, Zhimu raised his giant claws and lunged at them, the father and daughter simultaneously redirected their attention, blocking Zhimu’s attack with their knives in front.

Bai Jin also jumped in shock due to this unexpected darkness.

Yet Bai Jin quickly gathered herself, did [Count Blood] really manipulate time?

By pondering Yang Yu’s previous words, Bai Jin instantly understood, the magic [Count Blood] just used is the culprit behind the ”Night.”

Find a way to get sunlight...

Yang Yu anticipated [Count Blood] might use this kind of magic, this was reminding her that the magic has boundaries. After [Count Blood] activated this magic, finding its boundaries and breaking the barrier can create a winning opportunity.

Bai Jin quickly realized Yang Yu’s intention, adjusted her stance, speeding towards the farther sky.

Yang Yu indeed foresaw the possibility of [Count Blood] using this skill. His previous certainty and aggression were all an act.

Yang Yu’s purpose was simple, to make [Count Blood] think he’s just that, to focus solely on dealing with him.
