Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Lowering his head in thought for a moment, Glantham felt that Yang Yu’s words made some sense.

Although he hadn’t directly witnessed the Goblin Emperor using the White Key, from the giant dragon’s description, Glantham believed that the White Key must be some crucial tool.

With Yang Yu’s mention, Glantham also began to connect the keys he had from the Lux Maze with those held by the Goblin Emperor.

Perhaps, as Yang Yu had said, the Goblin Emperor had already moved to Lux’s maze.

While exploring the world, some should also be dispatched to scout the maze left by Lux, especially the final Underground Maze mentioned by Yang Yu.

Glantham remained silent for a while, and Yang Yu spoke again:

”I heard that your [Dragon God’s Might] is also collecting keys. How many have you collected so far?”

”Four.” Glantham answered without hesitation, ”Are you presenting your key... is this your bargaining chip?”

”Rest assured, it is not.

I understand your thinking, but I do not intend to abandon the strategy against the [Count Blood] and follow your actions.

It takes you a long time just to prepare, and that’s why you turned us down.

Because of this, I cannot join you either.

If you have any clues, we would be happy to help you handle the Evil Dragon together.

As for the task of subduing the [Count Blood], I’ll find others.

If both matters are solved simultaneously, the world would be relieved some burdens.

On the [Adventurer’s Peak], you once mentioned that you would exchange Legendary Equipment for a key, not sure if that offer still stands.

With our enhanced battle capabilities, either against the [Count Blood] or the Goblin Emperor, it would be somewhat easier.”

Yang Yu spoke plainly, and Glantham scrutinized Yang Yu.

To hold his ground against the Evil Dragon’s offspring and use such methods to resolve crises at such a young age, offering them some help might indeed lessen their load.

Resolute, Glantham said, ”Unless specially noted otherwise, that promise is valid long-term.

In fact, out of the keys we possess, only two were obtained by us in the Underground Maze.

It’s quite surprising that we haven’t gathered all keys despite having announced it long ago.

What equipment do you desire? After weighing it, I’ll make an exchange with you.”

Yang Yu smiled, ”What I want, of course, is the Legendary Shield you guys obtained from the [Defensive Hall].

If you’ve ever encountered the maze builder and heard anything from him, I’d also like to hear it.

Why did Hero Lox modify the Goblin Emperor? That might be a mystery concerning the world’s trajectory.

Moreover...”

Yang Yu turned to Gushan, who had opened a new book page, and said politely:

”The gentleman drinking tea and reading over there, you’re the defense of [Dragon God’s Might], correct?

If possible, could you introduce me to the skills you’ve mastered?

If there’s a skill I need, I might as well study it to enhance my combat prowess.”

Called upon, Gushan slowly put down his teacup without dismissing Yang Yu,

”If you think you can learn it in a short time, I’m willing to teach you.

However, time is limited; do tell me the type of skills you hope to acquire, so I can evaluate whether and how easily I can teach them.”

Yang Yu didn’t hesitate, with a ”snap,” he slapped the skills list he’d prepared before onto the table and handed it to Gushan.

Gushan quickly glanced through Yang Yu’s skills list and concluded:

”You’ve seriously planned your path to becoming stronger.

Using speed to support teammates, employing methods to boost tanking, enduring enemy damage, then using Control Skills to restrain them, you’re also seeking some Special Attack Skills to compensate for output limitations...

Creative ideas, but slightly ambitious.

Some skills require multiple practices to grasp, not something one can master quickly.

By the way, how many skills have you learned?”

Yang Yu gestured to Gushan, took back his skills list, scribbled and marked on it, and handed it back.

A glance at the revised list had Gushan’s eyes unusually widening in surprise, exclaiming:

”Have you not practically achieved it already? How old are you? Many skills aren’t easy to learn...”

Speaking of age, how old exactly am I?

Yang Yu knew that by his original world’s age calculation, he was already an adult, but he’d never actually counted his age in this world...

If adding his mental age with the years passed, Yang Yu could easily state his age.

”I’m somewhat special. If you’ve heard of Ancient Relics, it’s easy to explain.

I only started adventuring after being chosen by a relic.

That relic taught me a lot, and the time flow inside differs from the outside, so judging me just by age isn’t fair.

Precisely because of the relic’s blessing, I have acquired some intriguing abilities.

For example, as long as the skills I learn within a certain time don’t exceed certain limits, I can master them quickly.”

Gushan closed the book, ”A relic? This is my first time hearing of it...

Never mind, let’s test your words for truth after the adventurer guild finishes assigning tasks.

Let me think about what skills to teach you.”

As he finished, Gushan placed his elbows on the table, contemplating which skills to impart to Yang Yu.

Glantham shook his head lightly; despite not having agreed to Yang Yu, Gushan was already promising to teach skills.

What Glantham didn’t know was that Gushan sensed Glantham had already decided, hence agreeing to Yang Yu’s requests.

And the decision Glantham was about to make was to agree to Yang Yu and his group’s requests.

”I understand.

To swiftly locate the Evil Dragon, we are willing to exchange the Legendary Shield for the key and willing to share the stories we’ve heard from the Maze Guardian.”

Glantham’s decision brought surprise to two in the meeting room.

The first to express surprise was Luo Bei, who was simply amazed by Glantham’s quick decision.

Knowing the Equipment acquired from Lux’s maze was of top-tier quality, absolutely high-end rare goods, and that his commander would let go without hesitation was unexpected.

Corola frowned and conveyed via Telepathy with Glantham, suggesting it wasn’t necessary to spend such a high price for a key. Even if Yang Yu’s words were true, they could leverage the righteousness of defeating the goblins to have other S-Class adventure groups hand over keys or raid a Lux’s Underground Maze along the way, gaining both the key and Legendary Equipment.

Glantham was aware of such methods but chose not to pursue them.

The future of this world was unknown, and difficult to change by themselves. Adding some reliable adventurers changed the equation, so Glantham was willing to invest in Yang Yu.

Looking at Yang Yu, Glantham said:

”Unfortunately, that shield is at our stronghold. We’ll return to gather personnel and bring the shield you mentioned for the transaction. So, will you accompany us?”
