Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”Mother, report, an invader has been discovered.

I’m sorry.

I might not be able to stop them.”

Water Purification Doron established remote telepathy with Lutrola Doron,

”Because of my recklessness, I am badly injured.

I’m sorry... I’m sorry...

If I had been more careful, things wouldn’t have escalated to this extent...

If mother requires, I am willing to sacrifice my life to stop them.

I am willing to pay the price for my recklessness.”

Lutrola Doron sensed the anomaly outside the island when Water Purification Doron released the water curtain.

She immediately avoided the chaos caused by magic on the island and unleashed surveillance magic toward the area where Water Purification Doron was, watching from start to finish as Water Purification Doron detonated a small amount of the giant dragon’s original magic power.

The race capable of switching forms uses magic differently during transformations, but they more or less release a portion of magic from their bodies, assimilating and reconstructing themselves using surrounding magic to complete the transformation.

The magic used for transformation is generally very special and isn’t easily applied to other areas.

If it’s used up, it takes time to recover before the next transformation can be smoothly completed.

In the previous crisis situation, Water Purification Doron focused only on removing Yang Yu from herself, without thinking of a better solution.

Lutrola Doron finds it hard to criticize Water Purification Doron; she truly did her best.

”You’ve done very well, NO.003, Water Purification.

You’ve always been responsible for collecting compressed magic power and haven’t had proper training like your other sisters.

There might be situations needing you to collect compressed magic again in the future.

Let those invaders come to the island, and I’ll have your other sisters take care of them.

For now, retreat temporarily. With your recovery ability, as long as you concentrate on recovery, it won’t take long to return to normal.”

”Understood, Mother.”

Upon receiving Lutrola Doron’s order to retreat, a water shield formed around Water Purification Doron, diving into the sea.

Yet, before Water Purification Doron could dive underwater to escape, a white blizzard instantly erected an ice bridge on the sea surface.

Yang Yu slid on the ice, appearing in front of Water Purification Doron in a flash.

Using the [Incredible Braking Boots], Yang Yu managed to stop skating on the ice, leaping from the ice bridge and striking Water Purification Doron with a sword.

Yang Yu attacked, and Water Purification Doron added a shield to her water shield to try to block Yang Yu’s attack.

But cunning plans exist, and Yang Yu had prepared a shield-breaking skill early on for the Dragon God Conference.

A special light flashed across Yang Yu’s sharp blade, and he swung forward, striking Water Purification Doron’s shield.

The shield protecting Water Purification Doron shattered into splendid fragments, with Yang Yu’s sword blade heading straight for Water Purification Doron’s chest.

Dragon scales grew on her hands, and Water Purification Doron caught Yang Yu’s strike with her arms.

Water Purification Doron’s vertical dragon eyes stared at Yang Yu as three water spirals shot up from the sea, stabbing toward Yang Yu.

Yang Yu didn’t make any evasive moves in the air as there was no need to.

Activating [Copper Wall Iron Curtain] and [Steel Body], letting the three water spirals strike him, Yang Yu rushed into the sky.

Taking this opportunity, Water Purification Doron sank into the sea, but a dazzling light array appeared above her.

Iyas used [Holy Light Restriction], trapping Water Purification Doron in mid-air, just as her toes touched the sea.

Taking this chance, Yang Yu unleashed [Heroic Leap], enveloped in a white mist, blade downwards, plummeting from mid-air like a giant meteor onto Water Purification Doron, driving her into the sea, stirring waves.

Yang Yu’s longsword deeply embedded into Water Purification Doron’s chest, and a scarlet stream gently spread in the sea.

[Heroic Leap] caused Water Purification Doron to be stunned for a second.

When Water Purification Doron regained consciousness, she had already sunk several meters with Yang Yu into the sea.

Water Purification Doron never imagined Yang Yu would be so persistent.

However, now that she was in the sea...

Since she was in the sea, there might still be a possibility to reverse the situation.

Water Purification Doron was born combining the Sea-dwelling Species and was more skilled at sea wars than air or land battles.

But she was injured, and fighting in the sea for a long time without stopping the bleeding would worsen the situation.

Opportunities were scarce for Water Purification Doron; she needed to seize the moment.

With Yang Yu so close, she prepared to release a water prison to trap him, counterattacking, or find a chance to escape.

Suddenly, a shadow darted underwater, propelled by something, swiftly closing in.

When Water Purification Doron noticed, it was too late to dodge, as Lotcar, with clenched fists, used [Fearless Shock], disrupting Water Purification Doron’s casting and smashing her onto Yang Yu’s shield, full of spurs.

Pinned between Lotcar and Yang Yu, another mouthful of blood spewed from Water Purification Doron’s mouth.

Lotcar’s punch knocked Water Purification Doron along with Yang Yu out of the water surface.

Water Purification Doron never thought that Yang Yu would have already devised an attack strategy when she contacted Lutrola Doron.

Yang Yu forced Water Purification Doron into the water so that while she let down her guard, Lotcar could sneak an underwater ambush.

The underwater entry was accomplished by Luo Luosi.

Truth be told, the success rate of this tactic wasn’t high, and Yang Yu couldn’t guarantee to force Water Purification Doron into the water.

If Water Purification Doron’s position entering the sea was wrong or she detected Lotcar beforehand, the plan might fail.

Yang Yu was quite relaxed, saying that in water battles, Lotcar, lacking long-range skills, performed worse than Iyas, so if idle, no problem.

Failing wouldn’t matter; as long as safety was ensured, all’s well.

Who would have thought, Yang Yu’s unhopeful ambush yielded unprecedented results.

Using [Reverse Wheel], Lotcar successfully launched Yang Yu along with Water Purification Doron into the sky.

Water Purification Doron instantly became the target for Bai Jin and Iyas, with Iyas pulling his longbow to shoot glowing arrows, and Bai Jin’s electric magic closely following, continuously striking the falling Water Purification Doron.

Water Purification Doron’s blood volume rapidly decreased visibly, quickly dropping below the safety line.

Seeing victory within this island approach, a light shield unexpectedly appeared on Water Purification Doron.

A black tunnel appeared out of nowhere on the sea, and delicate hands seized the falling Water Purification Doron, dragging her into the tunnel.

Activating [Water Wave Walking Technique], Yang Yu attempted to pursue, yet was shut out by the tunnel, colliding with a solid wall-like barrier.
