Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Combining the experiences within the Goblin Maze, Yang Yu felt that the mysterious figure that appeared should be Hero Lux.

However, Yang Yu could not be one hundred percent certain.

To put it correctly, Yang Yu couldn’t be sure if all those massive Underground Mazes were solely Lux’s work, and couldn’t be certain if Lux had other partners after changing.

The appearance of the mysterious figure was but a fleeting moment in history, and the giant dragon never tracked him down again.

After the Goblin Emperor completely vanished with the mysterious figure, the Goblin Empire welcomed a new successor, a new Goblin Emperor.

The Goblin Empire would utterly collapse, and the problem lay with this new Goblin Emperor.

The true Goblin Emperor did not choose his strongest son, nor his smartest; he opted for the one universally deemed weakest among his sons.

That weakest goblin offspring was born during a period of growing peace in the Goblin Empire.

By then, goblins no longer worried about food nor needed to adopt the elimination system to dispose of weaker goblins for sustenance.

Thus, the weakling survived.

His brothers had always lived in exceptionally harsh and brutal environments, surviving chaotic scenes, each a byword for brutality, cunning, and ferocity.

Though the Empire era had lasted a while, for the country’s sake they’d restrained their natures, but engrained traits fade permanently never.

They were discontented and baffled by their father’s judgment.

Regardless of who, everyone believed they should be the Goblin Emperor’s successor.

In the days following the Goblin Emperor’s disappearance, they maintained the Empire’s rules, complied with the new Goblin Emperor’s orders.

But the weakest goblin offspring, upon ascending as the new Goblin Emperor, became unrestrained.

He began blatantly exploiting his position, settling scores against brothers for past bullying and discrimination, exaggerating the humiliation and belittlement, showing no regal magnanimity, only petty resentment.

The newly appointed Goblin Emperor was unaware that everything he did was dancing on a tightrope, dangerous and ludicrous.

How could proud Goblin Emperor’s offspring tolerate such mediocrity atop them?

Their initial tolerance quickly vanished.

They pondered why their father chose such mediocrity as the new Goblin Emperor, ultimately arriving bizarrely at the same conclusion.

Historically in Goblin Empire, power revered; only the strong could sit upon the solitary throne.

Their father surely wanted them to break convention, challenge the unsuitable ruler, thus appointing such a self-absorbed mediocrity.

Definitely true, for Goblin Empire’s continuation, worthless rulers shan’t do.

Only by choosing strong ones each generation, can Goblin Empire eternally persist.

Admiring their father’s foresight, those believing in their capability and eligibility for the throne mobilized, amassing resources, building armies.

With Empire’s abundant heritage, external threats were no worry, they’d focus solely on killing their brothers.

These offspring of Goblin Emperor oblivious, from their day of vying for the throne began Goblin Empire’s decline in history.

”...until the races united to overthrow Goblin Empire, end the Dark Age, and I never found traces of the Goblin Emperor,” Owen summoned a notebook, flipping through constantly, ”Yet three hundred years post-Empire’s fall, we captured strange traces.”

Yang Yu’s sight uninterrupted, depicting united races’ grand attack on Goblin Empire.

Owen pointed into air, space revealing small bubble, showing blurred, bizarre images, final frame in Cold Ice Palace.

”In Cold Ice Palace, enchanted protection persisted, our Surveillance Magic couldn’t breach there...”

Bubble’s scene shifted to Dragon Breaker NO.001 Yang Yu defeated.

”You have some impression of this chap, right? You spent much effort conquering it, heard it proclaim as Goblin Emperor...”

Yang Yu nodded, ”You can’t imagine the hardships then.”

Without questioning Yang Yu’s supposed hardships, Owen continued: ”From its Characteristic Magic Power, it’s indeed akin to Goblin Emperor we occasionally monitored.

But... I don’t believe it as Goblin Emperor itself.

Having reviewed Goblin Emperor’s records countless times, given his character, I couldn’t envisage such deceitfulness waiting in Cold Ice Palace for others to eliminate.

Consider if I were the reincarnated Goblin Emperor, how would I ensure the world believes I’m dead?

Upon consideration, the answer was apparent.

That giant dragon was Goblin Emperor’s substitution.”

Astonished affect, Yang Yu queried, ”Substitution? Is it possible?

Isn’t every being’s Characteristic Magic Power unique?

Even if certain beings’ Characteristic Magic is similar, there should be differences.

Like no identical leaves worldwide.”

Owen pondered awhile, answering: ”How to explain? Let’s try this.

This world brimming with Magic Power, its production necessitates collaboration from minuscule entities.

Those entities are part of biological foundation units but aren’t entirely...

Each creature comprises varied biological foundation units, directed by something triggered from differentiated units, that something akin to biological blueprint.

Every biological foundation unit carries a blueprint, akin to ship construction where each part contains a blueprint.

However, these blueprints differ from ordinary ones, as constituting entities yield Magic Power, mutual interaction forming specific Magic Fluctuation, termed Characteristic Magic Power.

Hopefully, this explanation makes sense to you...”

Pinching his chin, Yang Yu surmised foundation units referred to cells, blueprint akin to genetic material, entities forming genetic material presumed as...

The more Yang Yu contemplated, the more his hackles raised, questions tumbling out:

”If everyone possesses such a blueprint, upon parents’ childbearing, do both parents’ blueprints influence child’s blueprint? More influence from father or mother? External world’s impact on child’s blueprint?...”
