Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Whether Bai Jin can win this round depends on her ability to handle such special situations.

Various signs indicate that [Count Blood] possesses the technology to transform monsters, making them stronger and more intelligent.

Yang Yu cannot be certain whether [Count Blood] used the same technology to transform Aslit, causing Aslit to suddenly become so powerful.

The black current might just be the tip of the iceberg of Aslit’s strength.

In response to sudden situations, Yang Yu taught his partners many methods to devise countermeasures.

Yang Yu cannot thoroughly investigate every opponent’s intelligence, as there will always be some enemies presenting bizarre skills or possessing strange abilities.

Sometimes, information gaps are inevitable.

If every unexpected situation required Yang Yu to come up with a countermeasure and then rush to his partners’ ears to tell them what to do, it would be too late.

Now, Bai Jin is in a desperate situation, and Yang Yu wants to see if Bai Jin can remember the methods he taught her and find a way to break through.

Yang Yu’s gaze tightly follows Aslit’s movements.

Surrounded by that unique black current, Aslit possesses unimaginable speed and destructive power, easily avoiding Bai Jin’s Frost Ice Arrow and striking Bai Jin’s shield repeatedly, shaving off ten percent of Bai Jin’s magic power in just a few seconds.

Bai Jin’s mind was not disturbed, observing Aslit’s actions as Yang Yu taught her, searching her mind for useful knowledge and magic.

The black currents flashing on Aslit’s body are dark magic.

Due to its domineering nature, dark magic generally has attributes of collapse and devour.

That is, when using dark magic, it is difficult for it to integrate with other types of magic, at most deriving characteristics of other magic types from itself.

[Ghost Shadow Formation] broadly speaking is also dark magic, but through generations of refinement and validation, it has found an extremely subtle balance point, and its effect area is the ground, ensuring it does not impact the release of other magic.

If one wraps powerful dark magic around themselves like Aslit...

It will certainly interfere with the release of other attribute magic.

Broken Wind Style doesn’t rely on wind attribute magic like the Wind Wolf Clan, but it does have several skills needing wind attribute magic to achieve desired results.

According to Yang Yu, Aslit’s sudden strengthening implies any special ability was suddenly bestowed.

Abilities suddenly given would not be as effortless as those honed by oneself.

Perhaps Aslit still hasn’t mastered the skill of extending the black magic for wind attribute magic characteristics.

If that’s truly the case, victory is still possible.

During practice with Yang Yu, Bai Jin developed excellent observation skills, her eyes keeping pace with Aslit’s actions.

[Ghost Shadow Formation] suddenly contracted and disappeared completely beneath Bai Jin’s feet.

Since reducing speed doesn’t work, maintaining this array only wastes magic power.

If slowing down magically fails, then slow down physically instead.

Raising her magic wand, Bai Jin fiercely smashed the old tree root-like wand’s tip into the ground.

”[Power of Earth]”

The land around Bai Jin rippled like a giant stone thrown into a calm lake.

Other than feeling unsettled and having her attack hindered, Aslit suffered no substantial damage; her sword blade kept striking Bai Jin’s magic shield.

And, this was only Bai Jin’s first step in her plan.

[Power of Earth] activates hidden magic in the ground.

When releasing certain earth attribute magic, this skill is needed as a precursor.

The battle stage used is specially constructed for unrestricted combat by mages or races using earth attribute magic; it has regular ground properties.

The range of [Power of Earth] rapidly spreads outwards following Bai Jin’s perception, spreading at the same speed as on real ground.

In a short time, [Power of Earth] covered the area where Bai Jin’s [Ghost Shadow Formation] had just been.

A new magic array formed at Bai Jin’s magic wand’s tip, as she unleashed sixth-rank earth attribute magic.

”[Earth Melting]”

Instantly, centered on Bai Jin, the ground covered by [Power of Earth] melted like ice cream, turning into a pool of sticky mud.

Aslit’s footing felt like stepping on glue.

Despite Aslit’s immense strength, although the mud is thick, it couldn’t halt Aslit’s attack steps completely, only slowing her by about 10%.

But as long as Aslit continues moving within the swamp, she remains bound by its sticky mud, reducing her speed.

Realizing this, Aslit didn’t abandon attacking the light blue shield.

Because Bai Jin also suffered effects from the swamp, her physique struggles to move in its stickiness.

When Bai Jin’s shield fails, she will be trapped in the swamp.

Her usage of these two skills indicates she’s prepared for a last-ditch effort.

Just as Aslit thought this, Bai Jin’s wand sank into the swamp and emitted a pure white magic array.

”[Rapid Freeze Light]”

Several blue lights jumped and intertwined, bombarding the moving Aslit within the swamp.

Yet, Aslit was already prepared, twisting her body to nimbly dodge Bai Jin’s attack, moving around Bai Jin, leaving only a smooth ice surface on the ground in the wake of [Rapid Freeze Light].

Bai Jin stood motionless, a green magic array gleaming in her hand.

Once the magic was ready, Bai Jin suddenly turned, launching the magic toward Aslit.

A light green air cannon emitted a terrifying whistling, compressed into a flat disk.

Aslit has already seen the air cannon’s position, raising her long sword to split the air cannon in half.

The bisected air cannon produced massive explosions behind Aslit, tremendously powerful.

Magic [Compressed Air Cannon], in wind attribute magic, is a relatively powerful attack magic but seldom used.

This magic, besides its long preparation time, generates a strong recoil on firing, enough to knock a person down heavily.

However, Bai Jin did not fall.

While firing the air cannon, Bai Jin already had half a foot on the newly frozen ice.

After releasing [Compressed Air Cannon], Bai Jin, instead of trying to stop, used [Lightweight] to reduce her weight.

The strong recoil provided Bai Jin with substantial propulsion, allowing her to shoot away like a bullet, rapidly distancing her from Aslit, nearing the edge of the battle stage.

[Magic Shield] naturally collapsed under Bai Jin’s series of maneuvers, leaving Aslit’s attack futile.
