The Unveiling of Secret Queen

”Hmm, just delivered.” Amadeus Yancey handed her the package, his lips curling up as he casually said, ”The recipient’s name on it is ’S’, but the delivery guy asked for Ms. Quinlan as soon as he opened the door...”

Nathalie Quinlan couldn’t possibly abbreviate her name to ’S’.

So there was no way he was the delivery guy!

Nathalie Quinlan also saw the recipient name ’S’ scrawled across the package label, then lowered her gaze and shook the box.

There was more than one laptop inside, seemed like there were other things too.

Two items clashed together, making a ’thump thump’ sound.

Nathalie Quinlan then opened the package, opened the box and poured out its contents.

Inside the box, apart from a black-covered notebook, a pigeon egg-sized blood diamond rolled out, tumbling onto the sofa.

Sadam Vinson and Alfred Garland had just come out, hearing Amadeus Yancey mentioning the recipient, and he asked, somewhat nosily, ”What ’S’?”

He turned his head to look at Nathalie Quinlan: ”Nathalie, when did you change your name?”

”Hmm.” Nathalie Quinlan responded perfunctorily, then picked up the blood diamond from the sofa and tossed it towards him, the diamond tracing a beautiful arc in the air: ”Take it.”

Sadam Vinson only saw a crimson arc, catching it steadily, not yet seeing what Nathalie Quinlan had thrown to him.

Then he heard the girl say: ”Emma Gabehart’s gift for you.”

He looked down to see a pigeon egg-sized raw stone lying quietly in his hand, not blue, but a natural blood-red.

This type of red diamond is much rarer than blue diamonds, naturally much more expensive in price!

If a blue diamond of this size is about eight figures, a red diamond is at least ten figures. A raw stone of this quality could easily buy a villa in Beijing!

Sadam Vinson’s eyelids twitched hard twice, the item in his hand becoming unbearably hot, he reflexively wanted to return it to the girl: ”I can’t take this.”

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t take it back, turned her back and just told him, ”It wasn’t given by me. If you want to return it, go find her. I’m just passing it on.”

Sadam Vinson was quite troubled. Holding the diamond, neither taking nor refusing felt right, he finally thought it over, hurried back to his room: ”I’ll go talk to her.”

Nathalie Quinlan watched his departing figure, then withdrew her gaze and focused on the black-covered notebook, reaching out to pick it up.

Most people seeing such a large diamond raw stone would think this notebook is insignificant, however, the reality is quite the opposite.

Diamonds have a price.

This notebook is priceless.

Amadeus Yancey saw the notebook and already understood what was going on, walked over, eyebrows slightly raised, and said with fragmented light in his eyes: ”So, the one delivering was someone from the Red Alliance?”

Nathalie Quinlan put the notebook back, pursed her lips, and looked up at him: ”No.”

Amadeus Yancey didn’t quite believe it, just uttered a sound.

Nathalie Quinlan placed down the notebook, using a leisurely tone: ”It’s from the diamond mogul’s people.”

”...” Isn’t the diamond mogul herself?

Nathalie Quinlan spoke while grabbing the notebook and her phone, stood up and headed upstairs, turning back to Amadeus Yancey and Alfred Garland: ”I’m heading up first, don’t call for me tonight.”

She paused halfway, turned around, and told Amadeus Yancey: ”Tomorrow I’m going to the hospital to see my teacher.”

Amadeus Yancey noticed the girl’s raven-black lashes lowering, he tucked his hands into his coat pockets, his demeanor graceful: ”I’ll go with you.”

”Mm.” Nathalie Quinlan replied, then took her things back to her room first.
