Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

The old blind man’s graveJust as Lin Feng was about to return to the Elevator, the System suddenly prompted him.

“Ding, preparing to destroy the floor. Please leave as soon as possible, Host.”

“What? You’re destroying the floor again?”

Hearing this, Lin Feng jumped into the Elevator without a word.

Right after Lin Feng left the floor, the entire floor began to crumble into pieces, quickly turning into a pitch-black void. However, Lin Feng didn’t see any of this because the Elevator doors had already closed after he returned.

With the System destroying this floor, the Elevator would probably be out of service for several days again. These few days would be a good opportunity for him to go to Gryphon City and thoroughly investigate the situation.

However, the more important matter now was to cultivate the Flying Magic Fish to adulthood and then eat it whole.

Thinking of this, Lin Feng took out the rewarded Biological Growth Potion from the System Space.

Then, he pulled the Flying Magic Fish out from his ling ring.

The Flying Magic Fish still had no consciousness, so there was no need for any process of cultivating affection or the like.

After prying open the Flying Magic Fish’s mouth, Lin Feng directly opened the baby bottle and fed it to the Flying Magic Fish.

What Lin Feng didn’t expect was that this creature was quite fond of drinking it. He didn’t even need to force it; in a few gulps, it finished all the milk in the bottle.

Afterward, its body began to rapidly grow larger, and at the same time, many long whiskers grew around its mouth, and the fins on its back transformed into wings. Even more absurdly, four legs grew from its lower abdomen.

“Is this considered adulthood?”

Lin Feng said after scanning it with a scanner.

“Flying Magic Fish: Adult, from the Mystical World. Consuming it can increase cultivation by a hundred years.”

“It really is an adult.”

Lin Feng chuckled, then slapped its fish head, knocking it unconscious.

Next up was cutting, de-smelling, putting it in the pot, and stewing it into soup.

.............

“I wonder how it tastes.”

After some time, Lin Feng frowned as he looked at the clear fish soup in the pot, then sprinkled in some cilantro and chopped green onions.

“Why isn’t this fish soup white? Forget it, who cares, let’s just eat.”

Saying this, Lin Feng picked up a piece of tender white fish meat and put it into his mouth. After chewing for a moment, he frowned.

“Raw?”

That’s right, the texture was raw, and there was even a bit of blood in the meat.

He had stewed it for over thirty minutes!

Yet, it was still raw when it came out?

However, realizing that this was, after all, a creature from the Mystical World, and ordinary temperatures might not affect it, Lin Feng’s brows relaxed.

“Forget it, who cares if it’s raw or cooked, just eat it.”

Saying this, Lin Feng chewed the fish meat a few times in his mouth and swallowed it directly.

Indeed, a gentle stream of spiritual energy suddenly appeared within his body and was quickly absorbed by him.

Feeling the changes in his body, Lin Feng immediately began to eat in large mouthfuls, finally drinking every last drop of the soup.

“A hundred years of cultivation, a hundred years of cultivation, a hundred years of cultivation…”

Lin Feng said, while feeling the changes within his body.

A hundred years of cultivation, it did increase, and he clearly felt the enhancement of his strength, but…

His realm remained stagnant, not breaking through from the mid-stage to the late-stage, not even to the mid-to-late stage.

“Alas, what a pity.”

He didn’t expect that even with a hundred years of cultivation increase, he couldn’t successfully break through. So why did he break through after cultivating for just a few days?

Could it be… because the spiritual energy in the Virtual Training Field was special?

After much thought, it seemed this was the only possibility.

Indeed, the System is amazing.

Gryphon City.

In Kuze’s courtyard.

After extensive inquiries and financial persuasion by the butler, they finally located the old mass grave. Now, they needed to determine where the Old Blind Man was buried.

To be honest, this was quite difficult, because beggars without names, surnames, or identities, even if they died, no one would care. They were simply loaded onto a cart and buried in a random spot in the mass grave to prevent them from stinking up the city.

So, to find the Old Blind Man’s burial location, they could only find the person who buried him. There might be a slight chance of finding it that way.

Therefore, the next step was to find the person responsible for this work.

Meanwhile, Lin Feng, after playing with the little dragons and others in the Villa for a while, also set off for Gryphon City.

The floors should be temporarily paused from refreshing for the next few days, so there was no need to worry about the previous incidents happening.

Upon arriving in Gryphon City, Lin Feng went directly to Kuze.

Upon learning that the approximate burial location of the Old Blind Man had been found, his mood improved considerably. Now, as long as he found the exact location and the Old Blind Man’s name, Lin Feng could use the Resurrection Coin to revive him.

Lin Feng stayed at Kuze’s place for the next few days as well.

Finally, after several days of investigation, their efforts paid off. They found the person who was originally responsible for burying vagrants.

At this time, that person was no longer in that profession, but upon hearing that Kuze was investigating this matter, he cooperated very well and was brought to the courtyard.

Upon questioning, this person actually remembered the Old Blind Man’s burial location from more than ten years ago, and even knew his name, which was simply “Blind Man.”

The reason he knew so much was because when he buried the Old Blind Man, the Old Blind Man suddenly “played dead” and sat up in the pit, then said a bunch of words he couldn’t understand, before lying back down again.

It was because of this “playing dead” incident that he remembered it for so long.

And he even remembered the exact burial location clearly.

Hearing this, Lin Feng immediately asked the person to lead him there.

If that Old Blind Man had really been to the other side of the mountain range, he should know how to get there. Even if he didn’t know how to get there, Lin Feng could learn from him whether the world on the other side of the mountain range was really Blue Star.

..................

Soon, everyone arrived in the forest outside the city.

After some searching, the corpse carrier stomped on the ground beneath his feet and confidently declared, “It’s right here. I can’t forget it.”

Kuze looked at Lin Feng upon hearing this. He had always been curious why Lin Feng wanted to investigate where this Old Blind Man was buried.

“Are you sure?”

“My head on it.”

The corpse carrier patted his chest and said.

“Alright, thank you.”

Lin Feng nodded.

“Brother Lin, why are you looking for his burial place?”

“Nothing. Let’s go back first.”

Lin Feng shook his head, then pulled Kuze and the others away from the spot.

He definitely couldn’t let others know about his ability to revive the dead, otherwise, a lot of trouble would likely come knocking.
