Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Eat Bugs”What do you all think of this arrangement?”

Lin Feng looked at the group and asked.

”No problem, I agree.”

Qin An was the first to speak, and then the others also agreed to Lin Feng’s arrangement. To survive more smoothly on this floor, it was very necessary to choose a leader. As the strongest person, Lin Feng naturally had the right to be listened to.

A few hours later, the sandstorm finally ended. However, the sun had also set at some unknown time.

”It looks like we can only go out tomorrow. Are you all doing okay?”

Lin Feng looked at the sky outside and asked the others.

”Don’t worry, it’s just one day of hunger. Everyone here is an outstanding survivor. Let alone one day, even five or six days of hunger wouldn’t be a problem!”

Jin Chuan Yong, who had recovered some energy, said this, seemingly having gotten his wires crossed again.

”Alright, since you’re so amazing, you’ll be the last to eat when we find food.”

Qin An nodded. Since Jin Chuan Yong could go five or six days without food, he would be the last one to receive a share.

”I... No, no, don’t! I, I’m injured, I lost so much blood, and too much energy from my body. If I starve for a few more days, I’ll really be beyond saving!”

”Alright, alright, everyone conserve your energy and rest early. We’ll proceed as planned tomorrow.”

After speaking, Lin Feng lay directly on the floor.

To be honest, it was a bit hard and cold, but there was nothing he could do. Tomorrow, he would go outside and get some dry grass to lay down. If that didn’t work, even spreading some fine sand would be more comfortable than this.

The rest of the group also found a spot in the command room to sleep on the floor.

The next day quickly arrived. Because everyone hadn’t slept very comfortably, as soon as the morning sun appeared, they immediately set off to do what they needed to do.

..............

”Can this desolate place really have food?”

Lin Feng, standing on a tall building, sighed. This tall building had been completely submerged by yellow sand, with only a rooftop exposed. Lin Feng also tried to go down, but the inside of the building was also filled with yellow sand, making it impossible to enter. Even if he could get in, there probably wouldn’t be any useful supplies inside.

”However, this thing makes a really good weapon.”

Lin Feng reached out and pulled a rebar from the ground.

It was about a meter long, perfectly straight, and one end of the rebar was pointed, like a man-made weapon.

Lin Feng’s exploration of new areas was naturally not just simple exploration; he definitely had to bring back some food or other supplies, otherwise, it would be a waste of a day’s time.

After jumping off the ruins, Lin Feng continued forward. Soon, he found a red, unknown creature that looked somewhat like a tumor, using his divine sense.

This was the only creature he had found for so long, so he definitely had to go and check it out.

It wasn’t far from Lin Feng, taking only about ten minutes to reach.

This strange tumor seemed to still have vitality, slowly wriggling.

[”Flesh Pillar (Adult): Auxiliary insect, capable of enveloping other insects and launching them outwards. No combat ability. Contains potent venom in its juvenile stage. Edible and non-toxic after reaching adulthood.”]

”Huh? This thing is edible?”

Lin Feng never expected that he would accidentally stumble upon a large lump of edible meat??

However, the meat, well, it did look a bit nauseating.

But if there was nothing else to eat, it seemed this was the only option. The scanner said it was edible, so it absolutely couldn’t be wrong.

Since it had no attack capability...

Lin Feng examined the tumor in front of him, then raised the rebar and stabbed it.

Pfft~~~

The tumor in front of him quickly deflated like a punctured balloon.

In no time, it became a puddle of mud. Lin Feng, enduring the discomfort, rummaged through the mud and finally found a relatively intact piece of flesh.

”This part should be edible, right?”

Lin Feng picked up the red chunk of meat in front of him and said. This large piece of meat seemed to weigh about ten catties.

It would last the five of them at most two days.

Never mind, just take it back first.

After wrapping the meat in his jacket, Lin Feng returned. It was inconvenient to move with a large chunk of meat, so it was better to send it back quickly.

................

After returning to the safe house along the same path, Lin Feng saw a freshly lit bonfire outside the command room.

”You got the fire started so quickly?”

Lin Feng put down the meat and sat by the bonfire.

”Of course, you should see our efficiency. By the way, what is this?”

After Lin Feng sat down, Qin An pointed to the meat wrapped in his jacket beside him and asked.

”Food. I killed an insect when I went out. Its meat should be edible.”

Saying that, Lin Feng lifted his jacket, revealing the bloody red meat inside.

”Holy crap! An insect? Are you sure this is really edible?”

”Don’t worry, don’t you trust me??”

Lin Feng chuckled, then directly threw the meat over.

”Go find some wire to skewer it. We’ll have roasted meat in a bit. You all must be hungry, right?”

”What do you mean ’we’? Aren’t you hungry?”

”Ah, right, right, I’m hungry too.”

Lin Feng quickly said, though to be honest, he still didn’t feel any hunger at all.

Even if there was no spiritual energy in this world, the spiritual energy within him was enough for his normal consumption.

Soon, with the efforts of the two, the meat was cut into small pieces and skewered one by one with wire. After that, it was placed by the bonfire for slow roasting at a low temperature. However, looking at Qin An’s embarrassed expression, he probably wouldn’t eat it until he was extremely hungry.

Not long after, the remaining people also returned with their findings. Song Ce, who went to search for scrap metal, had a bountiful harvest, bringing back a pile of iron sheets. However, Adrian and Jin Chuan Yong, who went to search for food, were not doing so well. Because the environment in this place was quite harsh, the two of them only managed to find half a bottle of water, which had been sitting for who knows how long, from the hand of a skeleton.

Since they weren’t sure if it was drinkable, they could only bring it back first.

When they saw the meat skewers roasting by the bonfire, they were instantly shocked.

”This... where did this meat come from???”

”Haha, Lin Feng brought this back. This is insect meat, you’ve never eaten it before, have you?”

Qin An said, winking at the others, clearly wanting to see disgusted expressions on their faces.

In the end, the others indeed made the expressions Qin An wanted to see.

However, they couldn’t be picky now. It was good enough to have something to eat.

But, can this thing really be eaten??
