Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Upgrade, mysterious creatures in the poolHowever, that wasn’t his concern; Lin Feng was now only two upgrade sets away from leveling up again.

Just then, a private message notification lit up.

Qin An: [Lin Feng, I’m rich! This guy has so many supplies!]

Qin An: [There should be two things here that you can use. Do you need an upgrade set to upgrade your Elevator right now?]

Lin Feng: [Hmm, I do need it. Don’t tell me that person’s Elevator has an upgrade set??]

Qin An: [Yeah, and there are two of them. I saw that this stuff sells for quite a bit on the Exchange. I don’t need them for now, so you take them to upgrade your Elevator.]

Qin An was only level eleven, so he truly didn’t need them for a while, but Lin Feng still felt it wasn’t right to take such important items for free.

Qin An: [I’ve put them on the Exchange. Call me godfather, and they’re yours for free. If you try to trade gold coins or anything else, I won’t accept it.]

Lin Feng: [........]

Damn it! This kid!

Lin Feng looked at his Elevator, which was only two upgrade sets away from leveling up, and after upgrading, he would get memory metal and super cowhide.

Forget it, he had called him godfather plenty of times before when he brought him food.

Lin Feng: [Godfather....]

Qin An: [Hahaha, give me a watermelon, I’m a bit craving it, and some ice too.]

Lin Feng naturally didn’t hesitate; it was just a watermelon, and he had plenty.

After turning on the ice maker, Lin Feng picked out the best watermelon from his cowhide backpack.

The kind that was absolutely ripe.

Then he traded it over along with the ice.

On the other side, Qin An, after filtering out a large number of high-priced orders, found Lin Feng’s order and then clicked to confirm the trade.

Two upgrade sets instantly appeared in the material pile.

“Hahaha, finally I can upgrade.”

Lin Feng rubbed his hands. He could only repay Qin An for his help in the future. If he gave him anything now, he definitely wouldn’t accept it. Maybe he could refine some Body Strengthening Pills for him later.

Or next time he went to the Trading Floor, he could buy him some pills with minor side effects.

After clicking upgrade, the upgrade set count reset to zero, and the Elevator began to change.

This time, the range did not expand; only the workbench and battery were upgraded.

The workbench gained some high-tech looking tools, as well as some new recipes for medicines and weapons.

Now he could even synthesize painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs, tourniquets, and antibiotics.

However, Lin Feng didn’t have the materials needed to synthesize these.

And he didn’t need them himself.

He still had a huge pile of medicines.

As for the battery, its capacity doubled, but other than that, there were no other changes.

“Ding, congratulations, Host, for completing the mission. Rewards have been issued. Please check.”

“Ding, upgrade mission triggered. Please upgrade the Elevator to level 17. New function rewarded: Daily Evaluation: This function will evaluate your status daily and grant different temporary attribute bonuses for that day. It will re-evaluate and change attributes the next day. (Daily status can be viewed in personal attributes)”

New function?

After hearing the introduction, Lin Feng immediately felt that this function seemed interesting. Although the increased attributes were not permanent, they would refresh daily, which was equivalent to semi-permanent, right?

He just didn’t know if the increase would be significant.

After taking the super cowhide and memory metal to the workbench, Lin Feng began to operate.

Soon, an omnipotent key and an extra-large cowhide backpack were completed.

Next, he could layer another bag.

Lin Feng originally thought these cowhide backpacks could be stacked, but it turned out they couldn’t be put inside each other.

Only one cowhide backpack could be placed in each slot.

But it was still very good.

Now, the true space of Lin Feng’s cowhide backpack had reached 21 slots, plus the 4 slots of the two-hundred-kilogram prospector’s backpack, making a total of 25 slots.

This time, Lin Feng put the omnipotent key into the prospector’s backpack. If there were any unopened boxes next time, he would have a way to open them, as not all boxes could be moved. If he encountered an unmovable box with good things inside, Lin Feng would truly be miserable.

“Awooo! Awooo!”

Just as Lin Feng finished layering his bags, Little Velociraptor suddenly cried out loudly.

Hearing Little Velociraptor’s cry, Lin Feng immediately realized something was wrong.

Normally, when Little Velociraptor wanted to eat, its cry had a rising tone, but this time it was a falling tone. It only cried like that when it encountered danger or felt uneasy.

Or let out low growls.

At this moment, Lin Feng thought of the infinite pool.

Could it be that something new had spawned inside?

Just as Lin Feng was about to approach, he suddenly felt a wave of nausea.

And his danger perception skill told him that the creature causing this feeling was in the pool.

At this moment, it seemed as if some terrifying entity existed within the pool, and this entity didn’t feel like a simple creature to Lin Feng.

It was highly likely to be a mysterious creature.

Thinking of this, Lin Feng quickly took out his hk assault rifle.

He also replaced the magazine with one loaded with consecrated bullets, hoping it would be useful.

As Lin Feng approached the pool, a tingling sensation spread throughout his body. This feeling grew stronger as Lin Feng got closer. Although it made Lin Feng feel uncomfortable, for some reason, Lin Feng still desperately wanted to approach.

“What the hell is this thing?!”

Lin Feng shouted in his mind. At this moment, Little Velociraptor suddenly walked over.

“Come back!”

Lin Feng saw Little Velociraptor walking towards the pool and immediately shouted, but it didn’t listen to Lin Feng’s command and continued walking forward, as if mesmerized.

Seeing this, Lin Feng quickly tackled Little Velociraptor to the ground. At this point, Little Velociraptor’s pupils had turned into a swirling shape, clearly indicating it had entered some mysterious state.

It only quieted down a bit after he tied Little Velociraptor up.

No one knew what would happen if this guy just walked over there, so Lin Feng could only temporarily tie him up.

Then, Lin Feng picked up his gun again and approached the pool.

Perhaps it was because his sanity value was relatively high; although a bit uncomfortable, Lin Feng was still clear-headed at this moment.

Arriving in front of the pool, Lin Feng looked at the iron plate in front of him as if he could already see what was beneath it—an ancient and mysterious creature.....

Gulp....

Lin Feng swallowed hard, then slowly pushed open the iron plate with the muzzle of his gun.

After opening a crack, what greeted his eyes was a green, slimy octopus tentacle.

Lin Feng quickly fired several shots at the tentacle.

Seeing the tentacle retract, Lin Feng directly kicked the iron plate halfway open.

The scene that appeared before him instantly made Lin Feng’s breathing hitch!

He saw a massive octopus lying at the bottom of the pool. Its entire green head occupied the entire area of the pool, and its head was covered with mysterious patterns that were very unsettling to look at.

Buzz!

Suddenly, with a muffled sound, Lin Feng’s expression became somewhat dazed. When he looked again, the green octopus with countless tentacles was gone!

(The illustration might cause discomfort to some people, so I won’t put it in the main text. I’ve posted it in the comment section of this paragraph, right here →)
