Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Village HeroHowever, it was still necessary to look, and encountering the Floor Merchant was truly good luck.

Soon, the Floor Merchant laid out the items from his backpack.

Park Chang also looked curiously at the things Kola was selling.

Two Speed Potions, one Strength Potion, a blue fruit, a sharp dagger, a silver coin engraved with runes, and a talisman.

“Emm, I brought fewer things this time, only these,” the Floor Merchant scratched his head and then introduced them to Lin Feng.

The blue fruit increased intelligence, the dagger was forged from obsidian, the runes on the silver coin were related to life, and the talisman was a Spirit Extinguishing Talisman, capable of harming all non-corporeal beings.

Park Chang looked at these items with great envy, but he couldn’t afford them. After all, these things cost several gold coins each, and his savings of over a year amounted to only a little over a hundred silver coins, which was just 1 gold coin.

“I’ll take all these potions, and also this fruit, the talisman, and the silver coin,” Lin Feng said after some thought. He felt that this silver coin was likely the one needed to craft a Revival Coin.

Just now, this shady merchant also said that the runes on it were related to life.

“Oh! My esteemed guest, you are simply too wealthy! Please wait a moment while I calculate the total price.”

“For the three potions, just give me 30 gold coins…”

“Stop! You know I’ve traded with other merchants. Last time, this potion was sold to me for 3 gold coins. How is it 10 gold coins from you? Is this how you do business?” Lin Feng directly interrupted Kola. Last time, he had haggled the potion price down from ten gold coins to 5 gold coins, and the other party still made a profit. This time, he directly quoted 3 gold coins, which must be the absolute lowest price.

Kola revealed a bitter smile.

“This, alright. Then this fruit will also be 3 gold coins for you, the talisman 5 gold coins, and this rune-engraved silver coin… It’s a bit expensive, it needs 98 gold coins.”

“A total of 115 gold coins.”

Pfft!

This silver coin is actually so expensive!

That’s right, if this thing can be used to make a Revival Coin, how could it not be expensive?

After a moment of thought, Lin Feng said, “How about you round it down for me? 100 gold coins?”

Kola’s face was full of difficulty. This was the first time he had seen such haggling. If it was 100 gold coins, then besides the silver coin, his other items would practically be given away for free!

However, it was good to get rid of this silver coin quickly. He had acquired this silver coin from an old man. At the time, he thought this silver coin engraved with life runes would definitely sell for a good price, so he bought it back at a high cost.

As a result, the original selling price of 500 gold coins had dropped all the way to 98 now. He would only earn 8 gold coins, and no one was buying it. Now that he finally encountered someone willing to buy it, he couldn’t miss this opportunity.

So Kola nodded with difficulty. This was absolutely the least profitable transaction he had ever made in his life.

“Alright, I’ll go get the gold coins. Wait for me here.”

After saying that, Lin Feng jogged back to the Elevator and took out 100 gold coins from the material storage area. After deducting the gold coins for upgrading and these 100 gold coins, Lin Feng only had 236 usable gold coins left.

Upon returning to Park Chang’s house, the transaction was completed.

Park Chang’s jaw dropped in shock when he saw Lin Feng directly pull out a hundred gold coins.

How many beast hides would he have to sell to get that? One good beast hide was one silver coin, one hundred silver coins was one gold coin…

Park Chang felt a bit dizzy. Was this the world of the rich?

Then Kola bought a few more beast hides from Park Chang and left.

It was already evening, and Lin Feng learned from Park Chang that their village and the Floor Merchant had a friendly cooperative relationship, with the Floor Merchant occasionally resting in the village.

No wonder the system told him to build a good relationship with this village.

Dong~ Dong~ Dong————

Just then, the bell rang, and Park Chang quickly picked up the hunting bow hanging on the wall.

“Lin Feng, hide well here. The monsters are coming. I need to go out and resist their attack.”

Park Chang ran off in a hurry after speaking, and the other young adults in the village also grabbed their weapons and ran to the enclosing wall.

The enclosing wall of this village was built of wood. Those skilled with bows shot arrows from the wall, while those who weren’t protected the archers nearby.

Monster attack? Isn’t this the best time to gain favorability?

Lin Feng picked up his gun and ran out with the crowd.

Climbing onto the city wall, Lin Feng saw the monsters in the moonlight.

“Lin Feng, why are you here too?” Park Chang asked when he saw Lin Feng.

“Of course, I’m here to help! What are those things?”

“Undead creatures. They come out of dark caves every night. Their numbers vary, but today it seems there are quite a lot of them.”

Lin Feng nodded slightly, then set up his hk assault rifle.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang————

Gunshots rang out continuously, and Lin Feng quickly emptied a magazine.

And more than twenty of those swarms of undead creatures were killed by Lin Feng.

This scene directly stunned the other villagers.

What kind of weapon is this?

Such a long range and such great power!

Lin Feng, however, continued shooting as if no one else was around, because there was only a little over an hour left before the Elevator closed.

Soon, the villager archers also began to shoot arrows. There were even some undead creatures using bows and arrows, but both sides had very poor aim.

After emptying another magazine, Lin Feng switched his weapon to the Charging Pistol.

Zzzzz————Bang!

An energy ball directly obliterated dozens of undead creatures.

About ten minutes later, with Lin Feng’s help, the undead creatures attacking the village were completely annihilated.

All the villagers came to know this amazing adventurer.

Due to Lin Feng’s presence, the village suffered no losses tonight, and not even a single villager died.

So the village chief specifically met with Lin Feng.

Upon hearing that Lin Feng had traded with the Floor Merchant, he specially gave Lin Feng a badge.

“This is the Village Hero’s Badge. From now on, no matter which village you go to, you will be well-received, and the Cloaked Merchant will also give you great discounts.”

The Cloaked Merchant the village chief spoke of was the Floor Merchant. They were called Cloaked Merchants because they all wore cloaks of the same style, and no one had ever seen their faces. The Floor Merchant would cover all parts of his body with clothes.

Even his hands would be wrapped in cloth strips.

Lin Feng directly accepted the badge. He checked the time the Elevator would close and then bid farewell to the villagers.

After returning to the Elevator, Lin Feng quickly checked at the workbench, confirming that this silver coin was indeed needed to craft a Revival Coin. Lin Feng felt completely at ease, as Revival Coins were life-saving items, and the more, the better.

Even if he didn’t need them, he could sell them to people from other worlds on the Trading Floor, and they would definitely fetch a good price.

The gains from this floor exploration were quite abundant: three potions, an intelligence-boosting fruit, the silver coin, the talisman for mysterious creatures, and the discount badge.

After consuming all the potions and the fruit, Lin Feng’s Strength reached 31, Speed 19, and Intelligence 30.
