Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Yang Li (Thanks to Mo Miaoluo for the update and thanks to the character summon of Heishen from the Sky-blasting Gang)Clenching his fist, Lin Feng felt as if his strength had increased by a level.

“Strange, it only increased by a little strength.”

Lin Feng checked his strength attribute; it had indeed only increased by one point.

Just then, Qin An suddenly sent him a message.

Qin An: [Lin Feng, that pill you gave me is too damn potent, isn’t it? Could it be a Great Strength Pill?]

Lin Feng: [How so?]

Qin An: [After taking the pill yesterday, I felt hot all over. Even after four rounds, I still had the energy to explore the floor. Isn’t that awesome?]

Lin Feng: [??? Rounds?!]

Lin Feng: [No, what happened after you took the pill? Hot all over?]

Qin An: [Yeah, it was like a damn aphrodisiac.]

Lin Feng: [......Alright, I understand.]

He hadn’t expected Qin An to have that reaction to the pill, but why was he fine?

Lin Feng closed the private chat, very puzzled.

Could it be that the effects of this thing varied from person to person?

[High price for upgrade set, anyone selling? I’ll offer 50 gold coins.]

[Holy cow, it’s that Level 11 big shot again.]

[50 gold coins? How do you even find an upgrade set?! Damn it, I saw a brand new assault rifle on the Trading Floor for only 10 gold coins before.]

[By the way, has anyone updated the temperature? Why do I feel like it’s gotten much hotter?]

[The current temperature is 39 degrees Celsius, and it hasn’t changed for several hours.]

[Anyone have heatstroke medicine? I’m feeling a bit of heatstroke. Pouring ice water over my head didn’t help.]

.......

The chat room still had many people seeking things to lower the temperature. Lin Feng also focused his attention on the name of that Level 11 Seeker.

His avatar was a common face, and his name was very ordinary: Yang Li.

Lin Feng made a mental note of this person. If he encountered him later, he would need to be careful. Someone who leveled up so quickly was definitely not to be trifled with.

After completing his workout and selling ice water, Lin Feng rested.

......

“Beep, the floor the host is about to enter has 2 monsters, 2 friendly units, and 2 upgrade sets can be found on this floor.”

“Beep, mission issued: The host is requested to kill one monster through close combat. Weapons can be used, but only Cold Weapons. Mission Reward: 1 upgrade set, Cold Weapon Upgrade Gun (can upgrade any Cold Weapon to a future form).”

Damn it! This system is getting lazier and lazier.

Lin Feng picked his nose, digging out a treasure from the pitch-black hole.

Now he just hoped this floor wasn’t too big. If it was too large, he wouldn’t know where to find these two upgrade sets.

Looking at the mission, Lin Feng silently brought his Rhinoceros Horn Bow and Poison Arrows.

[Ding dong! Elevator descending, please hold on tight.]

After the Elevator door opened, Lin Feng found himself facing a dark path that seemed to be in the city outskirts.

After changing the HK’s bullets to armor-piercing rounds, Lin Feng cautiously walked out. He didn’t let the Velociraptor follow him out. He had a premonition that this monster would be similar to the dog-headed men he encountered when he returned to Blue Star.

The moon in the sky seemed to be covered by clouds, and there were no lights on this small path, so Lin Feng was practically fumbling his way step by step in the dark.

Just then, a pair of red eyes suddenly appeared in the darkness ahead.

Upon seeing those eyes, Lin Feng unhesitatingly raised his gun and fired.

A barrage of bullets hit the monster.

“Awooo!!!”

“Wolf!”

Lin Feng was shocked. Then he saw the red eyes getting closer and closer to him, and Lin Feng quickly rolled to the side.

However, that werewolf was not as easy to shake off as the dog-headed men. Seeing Lin Feng dodge its attack, it quickly changed the direction of its pounce. Although Lin Feng tried his best to dodge this time, his back was still scratched.

Fortunately, the wound was not deep. Under the effect of his self-healing ability, the wound was recovering at a visible speed. At the same time, his stomach began to feel hungry.

Seeing how difficult this werewolf was to deal with, Lin Feng decisively entered stealth mode.

Still Invisibility, Cold-Blooded Creature, Hunyue Moya—all activated.

Lin Feng instantly disappeared from the spot, not even leaving a scent behind.

The werewolf tried hard to twitch its nose, but it still couldn’t smell Lin Feng.

Just as it was puzzled, a flare suddenly streaked across the sky. The originally pitch-black path instantly became as bright as day.

An SUV stopped at the other end of the road, and two people wearing masks and hoods got out of the car.

One was tall and the other short, but judging by their physiques, they both appeared to be men.

Lin Feng continued to remain stealthy and did not reveal himself.

If they could attract the werewolf away and create an opportunity for him, then he would be confident in killing this werewolf.

Sure enough, after losing Lin Feng as a target, the werewolf turned its attention to the two humans.

After a roar, it quickly rushed over.

Lin Feng quickly pulled out his Rhinoceros Horn Bow, and at the same time, he felt a bit foolish just now. When he first came in, if he had directly shot it with a Poison Arrow, wouldn’t this werewolf have been at his mercy?

The two people were clearly not ordinary individuals either. Facing the werewolf’s attack, they weren’t flustered. Instead, they raised their tranquilizer guns and fired.

Puff puff puff puff puff—

The werewolf, hit by several shots in a row, sneered.

“Foolish humans, hahaha!”

Roar!

The two who had been as steady as a mountain just now, seeing that the werewolf was immune to tranquilizer darts, their expressions beneath their masks changed.

“Quickly call headquarters for backup!”

The person who spoke had just finished when he was pounced on by the werewolf.

Just then, a Poison Arrow accurately struck the werewolf’s posterior.

“Awooo!”

It was Lin Feng’s shot. After he aimed the arrow at the werewolf, the arrow fired from the Rhinoceros Horn Bow automatically locked onto the werewolf.

The werewolf, which had been immune to tranquilizer darts just a moment ago, let out a cry, then directly collapsed to the ground, twitching uncontrollably with its eyes rolled back.

The man who had been pounced on by the werewolf struggled to crawl out from under it. Both were very surprised by Lin Feng’s sudden appearance and even more surprised by the Poison Arrow in his hand.

They were agents from the Otherworld Research Institute, specializing in investigating the reasons for large-scale disappearances and dealing with strange creatures that occasionally appeared in the city, such as the werewolf in front of them.

“Hello, young man, are you interested in joining the Otherworld Research Institute?”

Facing the man’s question, Lin Feng ignored him. Instead, he pulled out his dagger and directly stabbed it into the werewolf’s eye socket. The Poison Arrow’s control time was limited, so he had to deal with it quickly.

Black blood instantly spurted out.

After fully inserting the dagger, Lin Feng twisted it vigorously until the system’s prompt sounded before pulling the dagger out.

“Beep, host’s mission complete. Reward has been sent to the Elevator.”

This mission… was really simple.

Lin Feng pouted. This seemed to be the simplest mission he had ever done, right?

“Young man? Are you interested in joining....”

“No interest, I’m very busy.”

Lin Feng waved his hand, then rummaged through the werewolf’s body for a bit, but found no upgrade set.

PS: I originally wanted to add another chapter today, but the author has a fever and feels a bit dizzy. I’ll make it up tomorrow...
