Chapter 618: Lessons from Failure

A group of green youths quickly followed.

...

Unfortunately, Shao Huo was still too young and ultimately lost to them.

”If you dare, kill me now! Aren’t you afraid I’ll come after you for revenge later?” Shao Huo glared at him with bloodshot eyes.

”You’re just a dog. Killing you is as easy as flipping my hand.”

Saying this, the man turned around, taking the woman with him as they left, laughing heartily.

He was in a great mood today. He never took runts like mad dogs seriously, and it was exactly this overpowering confidence that led him to a dead end...

”Can we move now?”

Black Hawk could hardly contain himself any longer.

”Go ahead,” Bu Chen licked his crimson tongue.

Just then, a warm and large hand grabbed both their shoulders.

”Brother Lin!”

The two of them were startled; the ability to appear silently behind them gave them the creeps.

”Let him go, don’t interfere.” Under the twilight’s afterglow, a great confidence slightly emerged at the man’s handsome lips.

”But...!” Black Hawk was confused and couldn’t grasp Lin Zifeng’s intention.

”Just let him go. He’s still young. He needs to grow on his own. Depending on others won’t help him advance,” Lin said.

The two said nothing, wholly trusting in Lin Zifeng’s words.

Only after everyone had slowly dispersed did Lin Zifeng, who had been observing silently in the dark, finally leave.

This incident was a heavy blow for Shao Huo, who had always climbed step by step on the shoulders of Lin Zifeng, the Giant. It was time he learned that there is always someone greater.

Ambition is good, but capability is essential.

It wasn’t until late that Shao Huo left with a group of embarrassed youths. Luckily, the owner of Bai’s Martial Arts didn’t trouble them. He was in a good mood because he had picked up a new chick and was in a hurry to head to a hotel. Otherwise, these young lads would undoubtedly have suffered badly today.

...

At 1:30 AM, Lin Zifeng didn’t head straight home but wandered alone along the deserted streets with a lonely silhouette.

Even though it was already 1:30 AM, it did not affect the passion of those engaged in nightlife.

In parks, in bushes, in corners... the moans and groans were almost everywhere.

Even when Lin Zifeng reached a quiet alleyway,

a couple of males were passionately kissing each other, continuously touching each other’s bodies, even beginning to strip off half their clothes.

”That’s really gay. Full of love there,” Lin Zifeng shook his head, pretending he knew nothing as he walked past them.

”Yo! Handsome, don’t leave! Interested in joining?”

Lin Zifeng’s steps suddenly halted.

Glancing at the two men, he smiled and said, ”Sorry, I don’t swing that way.”

After saying that, he quickly turned his head and left the scene.

”Hehe, I like that handsome guy.”

...

Lin Zifeng always hated these kinds of gay friends, especially those who were actively involved in such relations.

It just made him sick.

When Lin Zifeng had about enough of wandering, he was ready to head home,

but suddenly, he heard a faint sound of a woman crying from the bushes.

Huh?!

The man paused for a moment.

Something about the sound felt off.

”Probably just another couple going at it,” Lin Zifeng chuckled, such events were far too common.

It wasn’t worth getting concerned over.
