Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 620: Chapter 613: Digging a Slot! This Works?

Chapter 613: What the heck! That actually worked?

Under the tremendous resistance, Lin Zifeng and the entire motorcycle were thrown into the air, and even the usually brave Su Ni was a bit at a loss.

Who would have thought, Lin Zifeng’s legs were tightly clamped around the motorcycle’s body, and his body somersaulted several times in the air, easily placing the motorcycle back down, while he himself lightly landed on it.

This scene completely dumbfounded Su Ni!

What the heck! That actually worked?

”What’s up? Babe, were you dazzled by my coolness?” After putting down the motorcycle, Lin Zifeng walked up to Su Ni with a light tease, daringly sliding his finger down her fair cheek.

”Back off!” Su Ni’s reply was quite unexpected.

She quickly twisted her sexy waist towards the direction of the motorcycle, worried that her beloved bike might have been damaged.

”...”

Lin Zifeng was stunned for a moment, wondering where he had offended her this time?

”How is it? The bike’s okay, right?”

”This is all your fault, if you hadn’t driven without watching the road, would that have happened just now?” Su Ni turned her head and gave him a fierce glare, yet someone’s eyes were not so honest, staring unceasingly at her body.

His face turned red, his right hand covering his face, he pointed at Su Ni’s chest and painfully said, ”Su the beauty, don’t blame me for not warning you, your ’gate’ is open.”

”...”

Su Ni felt a chill down her spine and nearly lost her mind, cursing, ”Jerk. It’s your ’gate’ that’s open!”

Ah, why don’t they understand everything I do? Do I really have to go up and point it out to her myself?

”I mean your chest is open, take a look yourself.” Lin Zifeng simply turned his head away, no longer willing to look at her, lest he be accused of having lewd intentions. That would be a real loss.

”Why didn’t you tell me earlier!” Su Ni was terrified, not knowing how long her chest had been exposed, exposed to who knows how many onlookers, suddenly channeling all her resentment onto Lin Zifeng.

”Warn you? You would beat the crap out of me within minutes!” Lin Zifeng secretly wiped sweat from his brow, reasoning with such a fiery-tempered woman was simply suicidal, he might as well say his life was too long.

Su Ni did not speak, her fair face flushing slightly with an ugly shade, she started the motorcycle again, this time letting Lin Zifeng sit behind her but not allowing him to continue hugging her.

Lin Zifeng shrugged, indifferent, if not hugging then no hugging.

...

After a series of preparations, time seemed to freeze at seven o’clock in the evening, the sky remained light during the summer [since the days are longer], taking advantage of the dimming light, about seven or eight cops had been waiting down at the mountain.

Looking at the not-so-famous Little Wild Mountain in front of him, Lin Zifeng couldn’t help but ponder, how peculiar must the criminal be!

Even being cautious, one would at least choose a better place, the weather in X month is really hot, and the mosquitoes are particularly numerous. Especially in these mountains, not being bitten to death by those mosquitoes, snakes, and ants would be strange.

”Old Five, how are the preparations? Is this the hideout?”

After Su Ni hurried over, she saw these seven or eight guys sitting in a temporary shelter, drinking beer and enjoying barbecue, living quite comfortably.

”Su Ni, what are you doing here?”

The old officer was clearly a bit shocked as he glanced toward Lin Zifeng, who was quietly standing by. Grasping Su Ni’s arm with suspicion, he asked, ”And you brought a stranger with you? Do you realize we are working on a case here?”

”Working on a case and you’re here drinking and barbecuing?” Su Ni’s gem-like, clear eyes swept over him briefly.

”Uh, well... forget it, forget it. Ni, bringing a stranger here might not be a good idea, right? What if you startle the suspects?”

”It’s fine, he’s a friend of mine. I mainly brought him here to show him what it’s like. Besides, these little rascals are easy enough to catch, no need to fuss so much.”

”But even a mosquito is still flesh, isn’t being so careless possibly risky...”

”Didn’t you tell me this morning that you all had everything set up? If it’s already set up, then what are you afraid of? Won’t everything go smoothly according to your plan?”

Su Ni had asked about the case that morning, and the seasoned officers had assured her confidently that the operation tonight would be perfectly handled.

But now when Su Ni asked, well.

Done for.

This old officer, nicknamed Old Wu, was at a loss for words, but still managed to force a smile and said, ”Don’t worry, everything is ready.” In reality, he knew better than anyone that they were not prepared at all.

They were completely unprepared; they had merely come tonight to snoop around, but now Su Ni had actually arrived, making it impossible to admit the dilemma openly.

They just had to grit their teeth and bear it. It was annoying how Su Ni tended to meddle.

”So when do we start the operation?” Su Ni licked her luscious, red tongue, obviously a bit impatient to begin the mission.

”Well... Ni Ni, I think you should go back today. Let me handle this; I will ensure it’s handled perfectly.”

Old Wu’s face became awkward, his fists hesitating and showing his nervousness.

He truly hadn’t expected Su Ni to show up; he thought they were just going to boast a bit among the officers today, but now the situation had escalated.

This scene was all witnessed by Lin Zifeng in silence. He didn’t say anything, just took out a cigarette, lit it, and started smoking before walking away to wander nearby on his own.

This small hill in Zhonghai City was almost inconspicuous, similar to the many such hills in the suburbs of Zhonghai City. Yet this hill had always carried an eerie story — it was said to be haunted.

Of course, that was just a rumor. Lin Zifeng had never believed in such supernatural entities.

Being experienced, he could guess right away that this so-called haunting was merely a trick by some unscrupulous people to create a terrifying spectacle so that villagers would stay away, making it convenient for illicit trades.

Like during the period of the Republic of China in Xiangxi, some unscrupulous people deliberately created supernatural incidents, leading a group of zombies around the streets and wilderness at night, inserting things into corpses’ abdomens, using these events to transport items.

But now, people no longer believe in these things, of course.

Nowadays, the methods to transport illicit goods have become a hundred times more sophisticated, with some even stuffing contraband up their rectums to deceive inspectors.

Many people are from rural areas and don’t fully understand the dangers of these illicit goods, leading to many dying during these transports without even knowing.

Therefore, the ignorant are the most pitiful. Those manipulators are detestable. Ignorance itself can be considered detestable too.
