Chapter 618: Chapter 611: Scared You Might Pee

Chapter 611 Afraid You’d Piss Yourself

”Stop right there!”

From a distance, Su Ni saw someone coming out; however, Lin Zifeng turned and walked away, even pretending not to recognize her.

With her bosom almost bursting out of her white shirt, Su Ni casually walked up to Lin Zifeng and said, ”Why do you run every time you see me? Am I that scary, or you just don’t want to see me?”

”This, um, how do you expect me to answer that?” Lin Zifeng said with a smile.

”Stop ’this-umming’ and ’that-umming’ me. Just answer me honestly, why do you act like you’ve seen a ghost whenever you see me? Do I really irritate you that much?”

”I never said that, those were your words,” Lin Zifeng shrugged and leisurely pulled out a cigarette to smoke.

”Don’t smoke in front of me, it’s so tacky! I hate smokers the most.”

Su Ni’s pretty face briefly showed a hint of disgust, and her lovely oval face twitched slightly.

”You’re controlling even how I smoke? Come on, I’m telling you, Su the beauty, you can’t just boss around like this; this isn’t the police office. Even if it were, you wouldn’t have the authority to control me, right? Besides, there are lots of smokers in your police department. You’re not my wife, why do you care so much?” Lin Zifeng said dismissively, waving his hand.

”You...!”

”I’m just looking out for you, okay? Smoking is harmful to health, don’t you know that? It says right on the cigarette pack that quitting smoking as soon as possible is good for your health. You’re only in your twenties; don’t you want to live a few more years?” Su Ni said, her face flushed, her ample bosom heaving slightly, and through her shirt button, the pink of her bra and the flesh color underneath were faintly visible. If Lin Zifeng hadn’t controlled his gaze, he might have been truly mesmerized by that glimpse of spring.

”Alright, alright. Grandma, I’m scared of you, okay? I’ll stop smoking. Now tell me, what do you want today? I’m actually busy right now.”

Su Ni was quite pleased with his attitude and spoke a bit louder, ”I just want to ask you one thing, and you just need to answer me truthfully.”

”What is it? Go ahead.”

”Are you studying at Yunhai University and do you know a young man named Shao Huo?” Su Ni spoke bluntly, her expression serious. It seemed she wasn’t joking around with Lin Zifeng this time.

”What’s up? Yes, I study at Yunhai University,” Lin Zifeng replied honestly.

”You? Studying?” Su Ni looked somewhat disdainful.

”Uh, Su the beauty, if you came here just to mock me, then I really have nothing to say. After all, it’s never too late to learn, and I’m not that old. Believe it or not, there are quite a few people my age who are still studying.”

”Okay, okay. I didn’t come here to talk about schooling. I wanted to ask you if you know that young man named Shao Huo?”

”I know him.”

”Has his behavior been somewhat suspicious lately?”

”What do you mean? I don’t quite understand.”

”I don’t care whether you know or not, but I’m here to warn you. Recently, in the East District of Zhonghai City, many entertainment venues have experienced a group of youths selling poor quality goods, and they have also had many conflicts with the local small society, the Bai Martial Arts Hall. Many agencies in Zhonghai City are already watching them. If you know that young man named Shao Huo, I hope you can stop their actions.”

With that, Su Ni’s intention was quite clear—she was hoping that Lin Zifeng being a little gangster wouldn’t attract too much attention.

Although the Martial Arts World in Zhonghai City was chaotic, it was absolutely not something these young individuals could stir up.

Organizations like the Dragon Roar Gang, a massive criminal syndicate, might be untouchable by the Empire for a while, but if these youths’ actions became too ostentatious, the Empire could easily resolve the issue within minutes.

”You came over today just to tell me about this?” After hearing Su Ni’s story, Lin Zifeng also felt somewhat uneasy. Recently, Shao Huo established a youth association near Yunhai University, and in just a few weeks, it seemed that the membership of this youth association had broadened significantly.

Although Lin Zifeng hated those who peddled harmful products, Shao Huo was, after all, a petty thief he had cultivated himself, part of his own circle, so Lin Zifeng was extremely reluctant to believe this fact.

”This is just a heads-up. If you don’t believe me, you can check it yourself. Oh, by the way, I don’t have time to chat now. This afternoon, our department is setting a trap to catch a distributor of bad goods in Zhonghai City. I don’t have time to explain too much right now.”

Saying that, Su Ni was just about to leave when Lin Zifeng suddenly called out, ”Can I come with you?”

Surprised, Su Ni glanced at him, frowning as if she were looking at a freak, ”This is about catching a distributor of bad goods, not playing catch the cat. Are you seriously interested in joining this?”

”An extra pair of hands is always helpful, and we’re so familiar with each other, so why not let me have a firsthand experience? I’m just at home doing nothing today anyway, so why don’t you take me along to see how it goes? Maybe I could even be of some help.”

”Sorry, but this is a command from higher-ups. It’s a confidential operation, and we can’t just disclose it to outsiders. You better just stay home and save energy,” she replied.

Lin Zifeng rolled his eyes contemptuously, ”Pfft! Forget it then. Isn’t it just catching some small-time bad goods distributor? Why make it sound like it’s such a huge deal? Even if you did invite me, I wouldn’t want to go.”

”What... did you just say!”

”You might as well pretend you heard nothing,” Lin Zifeng shamelessly said.

”Don’t provoke me with your reverse psychology; tell you what, I really should take you today to see what catching a distributor of bad goods looks like. I’m afraid you might just wet yourself.”

”You’re underestimating me. Isn’t it just catching a small-time bad guy?”

”Fine! You said it now, you’ll see. Let’s go! Come with me right now.”

Su Ni’s face turned red, and she thrust out her proudly swelling chest, knowing full well that Lin Zifeng was just provoking her, yet she couldn’t resist taking up the challenge to ensure this jerk wouldn’t have any fodder to ridicule her later.

Might as well go all in; take him and see if he pees himself in fear, then she’d have something to mock him with in the future.

Anyway, for this capture, Su Ni was quite certain. The veteran cops at the station today claimed everything was set up perfectly, just waiting for their operation tonight.

”Then thanks in advance, Miss Beautiful Su,” Lin Zifeng chuckled.

”You... are so annoying!”

Su Ni glared fiercely at him.

”Pot calling the kettle black,” Lin Zifeng’s sleazy face revealed a hint of smugness.

As for why Lin Zifeng wanted to join Su Ni’s bad-guy-catching operation, he had his own reasons.

”Wait a second,” he said.

”Now what?” Su Ni began to feel that perhaps she had been tricked, always suspecting that this guy was hiding something sneaky.

”I’m going back to grab a piece of clothing.”

”Grabbing clothes for what? We’re not going to a banquet, we’re going to catch bad guys, not join a parade,” Su Ni was exasperated.

She even began to doubt her quick agreement, feeling like she’d been set up.
