Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 592: Chapter 585: WeChat Strategy

The next morning, Nangong Bing had to rush to his company early due to a sudden situation, leaving someone still lounging in bed.

It wasn’t until ten in the morning that he slowly got up.

Glancing at the watch, it indeed was a bit late.

After quickly finishing breakfast, just as he was getting ready for work today, he accidentally saw a software on Nangong Bing’s computer that he had never seen before.

”Web WeChat?” Lin Zifeng pulled out a cigarette and silently lit it.

What’s Web WeChat?

He only knew of a very cool software called QQ.

He had indeed heard a lot about WeChat over the years, but he really didn’t know what Web WeChat was for.

Thinking about it, Lin Zifeng still decided to have a go at it, thinking although he was a bit outdated and couldn’t keep up with the current trends, he could still learn.

”Eh! Why is it gone now?”

Just as he clicked on the webpage, it immediately disappeared, showing a pop-up window with a QR code.

”Could it be that I accidentally closed it?” Lin Zifeng muttered to himself, feeling indeed a bit outdated.

Nowadays, there’s just too much appearing on the internet, even beyond what one could imagine.

After spending a whole day at home researching and experimenting, Lin Zifeng finally figured out what WeChat was for.

In the end, he summed it up in one sentence, casually blurting out, ”So it’s for hookups!”

”This is really something great, having it on the phone too. Shake it, check nearby, and maybe even get a few pretty girls to go out with for meals and hookups; it’s actually not bad at all.”

With curiosity getting the better of him, he also installed the exact same app on his phone. However, his phone did not have a data package activated, and soon, while shaking it, his phone died from lack of funds—

This annoyed Lin Zifeng quite a bit, having topped it up with fifty Big Money just a month ago, just to see it vanish while shaking.

...

When Nangong Bing returned home that evening, Lin Zifeng was still intently staring at the computer, absorbed in his work.

It’s the 21st century now; what can control the future?

Undoubtedly, it’s the modern network so advanced that every person in Huaxia can easily access it.

”What are you researching?” Nangong Bing was also curious. From the moment she entered, Lin Zifeng had been glued to the computer, not blinking once.

”I’m researching WeChat,” Lin Zifeng answered without turning his head, casually replying.

”WeChat? Why are you researching WeChat?” Nangong Bing found it a bit strange.

”For hookups,” he almost blurted out without thinking.

His face immediately changed, and he laughed awkwardly, ”Just kidding, don’t take it seriously.”

The woman just glanced at him lightly and said nothing.

After pouring herself a glass of water, she slowly walked up to him and asked, ”Have you stayed home all day today?”

”Yeah, that’s right.”

”What about the Shadow Group?” Nangong Bing asked.

At this moment, Lin Zifeng, who was having great fun, suddenly tensed his fingers, and his initially smiling face darkened, saying gloomily, ”Bingbing, from now on, don’t ask about the Shadow Group. Even if you know, you should act as if you know nothing, understand?”

”Why?” Nangong Bing gasped, having seen the members of the Shadow Group in the Amazon Rainforest before. Even she, who was always in business, was somewhat moved by those fierce and formidable men.

”Knowing too much won’t do you much good,” Lin Zifeng said, somewhat avoiding the topic of the Shadow Group.

He quickly stood up, intending to go to his room.

”You—!”

Nangong Bing was stunned, staring with her doe-like eyes, not knowing what to say.

As the man’s lonely and indifferent figure gradually walked towards the room, Nangong Bing finally suppressed the anger that was just about to erupt again.

If it had been in the past, without knowing Lin Zifeng’s identity, perhaps she would have thought Lin Zifeng was playing some weird game again.

But now, she knew most of Lin Zifeng’s information. Seeing his desolate figure, her heart couldn’t help but ache.

Forget it, forget it, maybe I asked too much, touched this guy’s deep spots, yeah, I won’t ask anymore in the future.

Considering this, Nangong Bing also thought she had asked too much.

But just as she was about to go online to check some information, she suddenly discovered that her phone had frozen!

The entire computer screen was completely black!

”Lin Zifeng—!”

...

During dinner, today, it was still Nangong Bing who did the cooking. Most of the time, ever since Nangong Shui first resigned, the household had not hired any servants since then.

Normally, meals were delivered to the villa by a dedicated hotel manager, and sometimes Nangong Bing would pick them up herself, or the villa’s security would fetch them.

In front of the dining table, the two little foes once again fell into an awkward atmosphere. The slight friction just now left them both unsure how to respond.

Nangong Bing was inherently a proud character. Deep down, she had an imposing presence that others found oppressive.

However, Lin Zifeng was also a person difficult to talk to.

When these two foes clashed, no one knew what would happen.

The woman puffed her cheeks and, with a cold face, slowly lifted her head and glanced at him, seeing the man eating carelessly.

Nangong Bing felt uncomfortable inside.

She had been so accommodating, so considerate of him, how could he not understand her feelings at all?

”Hey, is the food really that good?”

The woman suddenly burst out, tapping her plate with her chopsticks. She really wanted to know if the pickled fish he was continuously eating was that delicious.

”It’s okay,” Lin Zifeng nodded.

”Enough, stop eating, I have a question for you.”

”Anything but The Shadow Group is up for discussion.” Mentioning this issue, Lin Zifeng didn’t want to talk too much.

”Did you use my computer just now?”

”Yes, what about it?” Lin Zifeng looked at her blankly.

”What did you do on it?”

”Played WeChat,” he answered.

”That’s it? Just played WeChat?”

”Er, played some ’Airplane’—”

”Ah—!” Nangong Bing’s eyes widened.

”Don’t misunderstand, I meant I was playing the airplane game.” The man also secretly wiped off some sweat.

”You know about WeChat?” At the table, the woman looked at him with a surprised gaze.

WeChat had been around for a while, but it was only recently that a web version of WeChat had come out.

In today’s micro-world, the use of WeChat almost occupies seventy percent of the time and consumption of many people in society.

Many corporate industries have started to pursue the enormous benefits that WeChat can bring them, ensuring that if used well, making money is definitely easy.

Nowadays, Tianyu Group was no longer what it used to be. In today’s ’micro’ world dominated by the internet, this is also why Nangong Bing, upon taking charge, made solving the company’s IT department’s market expansion her first task.
