Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 574: Chapter 567 When did I start being gay?

”Lin bro...”

”Let’s go. Look at you, so pathetic—I’ll cover the money for you. Consider it a favor you owe me. Whenever you have the money, you can pay me back. No rush.” Lin Zifeng laughed heartily, patting his thin shoulders as he spoke.

”Lin, Lin bro.” Suddenly, Shao Huo’s eyes got a bit moist. He lowered his head, his mouth twitching as he said, ”Thank you.”

”Thank my ass! What are we, strangers? Don’t thank me—just pay me back when you have the money. It’s never too late.”

Dragging Shao Huo along, the two of them quickly ran toward the direction of the conference room.

Feeling the warmth from Lin Zifeng, Shao Huo might not be considered a gentleman, but he certainly wasn’t a scoundrel either. He knew gratitude. Especially since Lin Zifeng had genuinely helped him a lot recently and cared for him, allowing him to shed his former unnoticed, timid self and develop a slightly more masculine demeanor—it really wasn’t easy.

...

When the two arrived at the conference room, most people had already boarded the bus, leaving only a few scattered teachers gossiping.

”Counselor, we’d like to sign up. Where do we pay?”

Lin Zifeng approached with a big smile, seeing Yan Qingcheng arranging the list, and pulled out a stack of bills from his pocket.

Shao Huo, standing behind him, seemed to have a heated face, saying nothing and just quietly watching the pair.

”You’re going too?” Yan Qingcheng’s narrow eyebrows twitched slightly in surprise. In the past few days, apart from failing classes, Lin Zifeng was all about failing classes, to the extent that even she couldn’t remember whether she had such a student.

Damn! Lin Zifeng’s heart skipped a beat. Seeing the teasing look on Yan Qingcheng’s beautiful face, he knew this woman was probably looking for trouble with him again, so he said ingratiatingly, ”As far as studies go, I would never shirk anything that could help me learn.”

”Psh, you study?” Yan Qingcheng glared at him sharply, her ample breasts rising with a sardonic chuckle. ”Are you sure you want to go?”

Yan Qingcheng knew this field sketching trip was nothing more than a means similar to scamming money—going was the same as not going; it was merely a pretense for a tour to roam around.

”Hehe, counselor, no matter what, I’m still your student. You can’t look down on me like that.” Indifferent, he shrugged and handed the money to Yan Qingcheng.

”Fine then.” Yan Qingcheng was no fool. Seeing Shao Huo’s embarrassed expression beside her, she realized that Lin Zifeng must have paid for him. It would seem somewhat callous to meddle with their camaraderie now.

”Then we’ll be leaving first.” Lin Zifeng managed to force a thin smile, but to Yan Qingcheng, it looked like the epitome of sleaze.

”Go on,” Yan Qingcheng rolled her eyes, waved her hand dismissively, and went back to her busy work.

”Let’s go.” Lin Zifeng patted Shao Huo on the shoulder.

At last, they leisurely made their way toward the school bus parked outside.

”Lin bro, I get the feeling that our teacher Yan isn’t so pleased with you. Did you upset her before?” Shao Huo couldn’t help but voice his confusion.

”Is that so?” Lin Zifeng pursed his lips, laughing dismissively.

”I think so.”

”That’s just what you think. My relationship with our beautiful counselor is great. Don’t start making wild guesses, alright?”

As he said these words, Lin Zifeng chuckled to himself. His relationship with Yan Qingcheng was like a moth to a flame. After that passionate moment under the office desk, to cover up his own embarrassment, he always pretended to be carefree, but Yan Qingcheng certainly didn’t see it that way.

Not until they boarded the bus did they realize it was already packed with animals.

Boys and girls were chatting merrily, snacks tossed all over the vehicle.

There were even several delinquent students smoking on the bus, filling it with the smell of smoke.

Lin Zifeng wrinkled his nose subconsciously and followed Shao Huo into the bus to find their seats.

”Excuse me, could you please get up? This is our seat.”

Shao Huo stepped forward and politely asked.

”Shao Huo? You’re participating in the field sketch too?”

The student immediately responded with a hint of mockery.

Leaning back in his seat, Zifeng was teasing the two girls behind him when he was suddenly interrupted by Shao Huo for no apparent reason, immediately feeling a bit annoyed.

Shao Ling looked on with cold eyes, not saying a word, but there was a clear sense of being looked down upon from his expression.

Yes, his family was poor, they didn’t have money.

But the poor in spirit aren’t disheartened, and being ridiculed like that in front of so many people would put anyone in a bad mood.

”Got a problem?” At that moment, Lin Zifeng, who was behind Shao Huo, squeezed up to the front and looked at him coldly.

The student just glanced at him dismissively, didn’t speak, and buried his head, directly giving up his seat to the two of them.

But just as Lin Zifeng was about to sit down, who knew that the student would suddenly stretch out his leg.

Attempting to trip Lin Zifeng.

Idiot—

Lin Zifeng cursed silently in his mind.

”Ouch!”

The student screamed in pain on the spot, clutching his foot and howling with a grimace.

”What’s wrong with you?” Lin Zifeng asked indifferently, his face the picture of innocence.

”No, nothing!”

The student clenched his teeth and squeezed out a few words through clenched teeth, although he was incredibly frustrated inside.

——

”Students, is everyone here now?”

At this time, a young male teacher with glasses walked up the bus, holding a list and starting to call roll.

The student shot a glance filled with resentment at him, but Lin Zifeng acted as if nothing had happened, continuing to chat with Shao Huo.

”Hm? Liu Neng, what’s wrong with you?”

At that moment, the teacher with glasses seemed to notice the student who had just deliberately tried to trip Lin Zifeng and asked.

”No, nothing.”

”If nothing’s wrong, why do you keep glaring at him?” the male with glasses pointed in the direction of Lin Zifeng, musing aloud.

Suddenly, all the students on the bus turned their eyes towards Lin Zifeng, who had an ”I’m innocent” look plastered across his face.

”I...” The student named Liu Neng was at a loss for words on the spot.

He utterly failed to say a single thing for quite some time.

”Sit down, if there’s nothing wrong, don’t keep staring at him. It’s very impolite, you know. If people are in the know, it’s fine, but those who aren’t might think you’re into ’that kind of thing’.”

”Pfft—”

Instantly, all the students on the spot burst into laughter, with some girls almost spitting out their drinks.

The glasses-wearing male wasn’t much older than the students; he was about the same age as most of them, precisely the age for youthful indiscretions, so his words didn’t really alienate anyone.

However, the student named Liu Neng’s face turned sour, thinking, why on earth would I be into ’that kind of thing’?

He turned around, hoping to chat with the girls again to clear his mood from the unpleasantness of being stepped on, but the girls rolled their eyes and said, ”We’re not into ’that kind of thing’—”

Damn it!

Since when did I become someone into ’that kind of thing’?
