Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 517: Chapter 512 Siege

In the police car, Lin Zifeng shared a ride with the scar-faced man.

Staring at the pain caused by the brutal kick between his legs, his entire face was completely twisted.

He glared at Lin Zifeng with a ferocious look, baring his teeth, before turning his gaze to Su Ni, who looked as if nothing had happened, her face like still water.

”You two just wait! As long as I’m still alive today...”

”Smack!”

Before the scar-faced man could finish his sentence, Su Ni’s slap had already landed on his face.

She sneered, ”What? You want to threaten me?”

”...”

At this point, not only was Lin Zifeng stunned, but even the scar-faced man was shocked by the slap.

What kind of police are these? Why are they so hot-tempered? I hadn’t even finished talking. Even if you take a step back, even if you’ve just kicked my balls, don’t I have the right to at least talk tough?

”You... you dare hit me?” Scar clutched his painful face and said.

”Smack!”

Another crisp slap rang out, and Su Ni still stared at him expressionlessly.

”You! You! You!”

”Smack!”

Another slap.

This time, not only was Lin Zifeng taken aback, but the other young police officers in the car were also suffering. What rotten luck, how did we end up working a case with this violent Queen? The incident involving a thief’s exploding testicles from last time hadn’t even been fully resolved yet. Couldn’t Su Ni rein in her temper a little? Always looking as if she hates evil so vehemently, did every criminal owe her their lives?

Those who knew Su Ni understood her fiery temper. Now, no one dared to make a sound. Even the fierce man known as Scar was almost reduced to tears by the beating.

”Got anything else to say?” Su Ni looked at him with a smile.

Scar clutched his face, staring at her as if he were looking at a demon, but he couldn’t muster a single word for a long time.

”Save it for the police station. I’ve seen plenty like you, mediocre hoodlums. If you don’t want your mouth to swell up, keep talking. I don’t mind dishing out a few more slaps to let off some steam.”

Uh...

Lin Zifeng was at a loss for words.

This girl was too fierce, relying on her dad being the chief; did she really fear neither heaven nor earth?

”You’ll regret this!”

”Smack!”

Su Ni casually retracted her hand, still smiling as she stared at the bloodied Scar-faced man, and said, ”Go on.”

”...”

Scar was completely shocked into silence.

By the time the police car headed to the station, the arrogant Scar-faced man didn’t say another word; instead, his snake-like eyes were locked tightly on Su Ni.

Getting booked into the police station late at night was indeed a first for Lin Zifeng, following the unanimous testimony of those hooligans and the innocent students.

Lin Zifeng came to understand as well.

Today happened to be a weekend, and Li Lin’s students insisted on inviting their teacher to a classmate’s birthday party. Unfortunately, Li Lin’s beauty attracted quite a bit of male attention, leading to some unwelcome advances. Infuriated by the harassment, the brash teenagers vowed to avenge their teacher and, after discussion, five of them took the opportunity to beat up the man while he was harassing Li Lin, thereby igniting a series of subsequent conflicts.

In order not to implicate her students, Li Lin tried her best to reason, earnestly pleading with the men to spare her students. However, the men, coveting Li Lin, were not swayed, and that’s when Lin Zifeng came upon the scene.

But after hearing the explanation from Su Ni, he couldn’t help but smile bitterly while sitting in the interrogation room. He hadn’t expected today’s high schoolers to be so bold, to engage in such chivalrous outrage. Perhaps, he thought, after tonight’s lesson, this would indeed be a beneficial experience for their future paths in life.

After all, since Lin Zifeng had hurt someone, even though Su Ni knew him, it wasn’t going to be simply resolved, especially considering the other party’s powerful influence. Scar was taken into custody less than half an hour before calls were made late into the night demanding his release.

Su Ni nearly had an argument with the precinct over this.

As for Lin Zifeng, he was temporarily held for causing injuries, but it was unclear who had bailed him out. Moreover, since Scar and his gang didn’t press charges, naturally, he walked out as if nothing had happened, very much at ease.

With Su Ni accompanying him, she insisted on driving him home in her police car.

He wasn’t one to make a fuss. If a beautiful woman offered him a ride, why not accept it? After all, he would save some cash on taxi fare, and given that it was twelve o’clock, the streets were so empty that not even a ghost shadow could be found, let alone a vehicle to hail.

”Is everything you just said true?”

During the car ride, Su Ni remained skeptical, suspecting that he was lying. He claimed that he had acted in defense of Li Lin after a chance encounter that evening. However, Su Ni knew him well enough to recognize that he was actually a complete coward outwardly, so how could he have hurt so many people? Although Lin Zifeng had a good heart—as evidenced by the time he saved a little boy—Su Ni knew that his sleaziness was only superficial and that he was actually quite decent inside.

”If you don’t believe me, you can check,” Lin Zifeng said, shrugging his shoulders and casually puffing on his cigarette.

”So, you’re saying all those people were injured by you?”

”Well, I can’t really reply to that,” he said.

Since no one had accused him, he certainly wasn’t going to admit to anything foolishly.

”Don’t think I don’t know, it definitely must have been you who hurt them. Otherwise, who would harm themselves to such an extent?” Su Ni said with a laugh.

”Heh, you’re not weak either. The way you kicked Scar’s underwear and repeatedly slapped him in the police car, I bet from now on they’ll take you for a tomboy,” he teased.

”Give me a break, that was nothing. The last time I caught a thief, he tried to attack me, and in a fit of rage, I almost made him incapacitated...” Before she could finish, Su Ni’s expression suddenly turned indifferent.

She stopped the police car, staring straight ahead at the pitch-dark road.

Ahead, more than twenty silver minivans were parked, their headlights off, but a palpable Killing Aura seemed to emanate from the edge of the dark road.

And from the road’s edge came a series of grinding noises.

Looking around, the surroundings were enveloped in Silence, deserted.

Lin Zifeng leaned back in his seat, his half-smoked cigarette hanging from his lips as he continued to puff away with narrowed eyes.

”No matter what happens, don’t get out of the car. If there’s a chance, don’t worry about anything else, just leave here quickly,” Su Ni suddenly said, her tone becoming grim as if she’d noticed something unusual.

”What about you?” Lin Zifeng asked casually.

”Never mind me! Just do as I say, and if you get the chance to run, remember to call 120 for me.” Her words had barely fallen when dozens of figures emerged from behind the minivans at the front of the road, walking slowly out of the Dark.

As the grinding noises behind the police car grew closer.

A group of young gang members, each holding long machetes, dragged them on the ground, shooting sparks everywhere.

In no time at all, they had surrounded the police car.
