After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1745: Chapter 1749: You Don’t Even Know How to Use the Washing Machine

In the study, only the father and son were left.

”Now everything is in the past...” Leng Lin looked at his son with deep eyes, ”You should stop when it’s time.”

”I know.” Leng Zimo stood up, ”You’ve worked for so many years, it’s time to rest.”

”I’m not old yet!” Leng Lin glared at him, ”Oh right, is your fish pond ready over there? I’ll bring my fishing gear.”

”No need, I have everything there.”

Leng Lin gave him a sideways glance, ”Yours is yours, I’m used to my own.”

Leng Zimo just shook his head gently, ”Alright, I’ll go get it ready for you.”

They say the old become like children, and our old man really is like a child, needing to be coaxed.

...

...

Leng Zirui’s apartment.

Xu Xia opened her eyes and looked at Leng Zirui, who was still holding her in his sleep. Then she looked at the sky outside, gently moved his arm off her, placed a pillow in his arms, and carefully got out of bed.

The night before last, Leng Zirui barely slept, and last night he was up half the night again. Naturally, he was exhausted, and knowing he had nothing to do today, he was relaxed and slept deeply, undisturbed by her movements.

Taking a set of her casual clothes from the dressing room, Xu Xia walked barefoot to the bathroom in the living room, took a quick shower, changed into her clothes, and quietly opened the bedroom door to check on him. Once sure he was still asleep, she gently closed the door and left.

She went downstairs to a nearby fast-food joint to buy breakfast, then wandered around the supermarket until her hands were full, humming a tune as she returned to the apartment.

Back in the bedroom, seeing Leng Zirui still asleep, Xu Xia didn’t wake him. Instead, she headed to the bathroom, took his dirty clothes, and tossed them into the washing machine in the laundry room.

Turning on the water and starting the machine, she paused.

Once the washing machine started running, it would surely make a lot of noise and might disturb his rest?!

Thinking of this, she quickly took the clothes out, found a basin, filled it with water, sat on a small stool, and began hand-washing them.

After a long while, Leng Zirui finally woke up.

He grabbed the watch from the table and strapped it to his wrist, noting that it was already past eleven. Lifting the blanket beside him, he called out, ”Honey, it’s time to get up!”

With the blanket lifted, Xu Xia was not to be seen, only a pillow.

That girl, she’s already up?!

Leng Zirui pulled on his pajamas, walked to the bathroom, and pushed open the door, only to find it empty.

Confused, he opened the bedroom door and began searching room by room.

The study, no one.

The kitchen, also no one.

The bathroom in the living room, still no one.

...

His ears picked up the sound of running water from somewhere, and Leng Zirui tilted his head to listen, then followed the sound, gently opening the laundry room door.

Inside the door.

With her back to the door, Xu Xia sat on a small stool, intently scrubbing clothes in a basin, and next to the sink, were the freshly washed clothes; all of them were his.

Watching her back, Leng Zirui felt a warmth surge in his heart.

He immediately stepped in, helped her up from the stool by her waist.

”Ah!”

Xu Xia was so absorbed that she hadn’t noticed him, only letting out a startled cry.

Turning around in a flurry, she relaxed once she saw it was him.

”You nearly scared me to death!”

Her face was dotted with white soap bubbles, looking adorable and funny.
