After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1737: Chapter 1741: Can You Propose Now?

First, she didn’t want to trouble him, and second, she wanted to give him a surprise, so Xu Xia didn’t call Leng Zirui directly, but instead waited for him here.

After waiting for more than an hour, just as she hesitated about whether to call him, she heard the sound of the elevator. Xu Xia rushed over, seeing it was him, naturally filled with joy.

”Why didn’t you call me? You’ve been waiting here for a long time, haven’t you?”

Embracing her, Leng Zirui spoke reproachfully.

Judging from the time, she must have waited here for at least an hour, if not longer.

”Not that long, just an hour!” Remembering his injury, she quickly let go of his arm, ”Did I hurt you?”

”No.” Leng Zirui chuckled wickedly, ”How about you? Are you still sore?!”

Xu Xia blushed and glared at him, ”You have the nerve to ask? When I got on the plane, I almost smashed my suitcase on the passenger behind me.”

”Is that related to me?”

”How could it not be? If you hadn’t been so crazy last night, I wouldn’t have even been able to lift my suitcase!”

”I’ll be careful next time.”

Xu Xia pouted, ”Who’s talking about a next time with you!”

In the elevator, a humming sound rang out. Leng Zirui knew someone upstairs must be waiting to use it, so he hurriedly carried her out of the elevator and only then put her down. Hugging her waist, he walked towards the door, ”Hungry? What do you want to eat? Your husband will cook for you?”

”Do you have ingredients at home?!” Xu Xia asked.

Leng Zirui looked indulgently, ”No ingredients, but I can go buy some. Tell me, what do you want to eat.”

”No need, I’m not hungry!” Xu Xia gestured with her chin towards her luggage at the door, ”I ate on the plane.”

”Airplane food, and you could swallow that? Let me take you inside first, then I’ll go to the supermarket downstairs.” Leng Zirui took out the keys to open the door, helped her carry the suitcase into the living room, ”You sit on the sofa for a while, I’ll be right back!”

”No!” Xu Xia wrapped her arms around his waist, ”I want you to stay with me!”

Feeling the obvious longing in her tone, Leng Zirui raised his hand to embrace her, ”Okay, then let’s check if there’s anything in the fridge to eat.”

Embracing her, they walked into the kitchen, and Leng Zirui opened the refrigerator.

Inside the large fridge, it was completely empty. He rarely came back, and usually didn’t cook, so he hadn’t prepared any ingredients. The large cold storage only contained a few cans of beer and water.

”Beer and instant noodles?!” Xu Xia suggested.

”Let’s check the freezer.”

Leng Zirui opened the freezer and finally found two packs of frozen dumplings in a drawer.

”How lucky, dumplings, my favorite!” Xu Xia immediately took out the two packs of dumplings, stuffing them into Leng Zirui’s hands, ”I want to eat those crystal pan-fried dumplings you made last time.”

”No problem.” Leng Zirui lifted her onto the counter to sit, ”Sit here and watch me cook for you.”

After washing his hands, he immediately got to work, lighting the stove, pouring oil, and placing the dumplings...

Xu Xia sat on the countertop, watching him cook, naturally walked over, and embraced him from behind.

She hadn’t felt this way before, but since last night, suddenly she felt like she couldn’t do without him.

Rushing back from Hong Kong, taking a taxi all the way to his apartment, waiting there anxiously—for a man, going so crazy, this was definitely the first time in Xu Xia’s life.

”Zirui!” Xu Xia spoke softly behind him, ”Can you propose now?!”

Good afternoon.
