After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1704: Chapter 1708: You Are Not Qualified to Love Her

With all his strength, Jiao Yang lunged forward, tackling him to the cabin floor.

Luo Ke had just pulled out half of his gun, which slipped to the ground, as Jiao Yang pressed him down with one hand and grabbed a syringe with the other to stab it into him.

Bam!

Luo Ke swung his fist, hitting Jiao Yang’s chin, then grabbed his hand holding the syringe. Luo Ke sharply twisted it, pinning Jiao Yang under him.

With one hand clutching Jiao Yang’s nape, Luo Ke forcefully twisted Jiao Yang’s right hand that clutched the syringe in the opposite direction.

Jiao Yang could not endure the pain, and although he gritted his teeth to hold on, Luo Ke still managed to seize the syringe from him.

”It seems I underestimated you,” Luo Ke sneered, pressing the syringe to his neck, gently inserting the needle, ”Now, Duke, have a good sleep!”

Bang!

A bullet whistled through the air, shooting in from outside the helicopter door, grazing Luo Ke’s arm, leaving a black-red scorch mark.

Luo Ke was startled and instinctively grabbed Jiao Yang to shield his own body.

Taking this chance, Jiao Yang lifted his hand to remove the syringe that hadn’t been injected from his neck and forcefully threw it out of the cabin door.

Several gunshots rang out in succession, and then Leng Zimo, with Cheang Xiao and others, rushed over from a distance. Luo Ke fired back.

”Everyone scatter!”

Leng Zimo swiftly dashed behind a bush, and the others spread out, each finding their own cover. Cheang Xiao gestured to Leng Zimo and stealthily moved towards the helicopter’s side.

Peering through the branches, Leng Zimo looked towards the helicopter. Through the open cabin door, he clearly saw Jiao Yang being held by Luo Ke, and he felt a slight sigh of relief.

At last, they made it in time.

”Luo Ke, surrender!” he shouted, ”You can’t escape.”

”Ha...” Luo Ke laughed out loud, ”Leng Zimo, you surprise me. I originally thought you weren’t a worthy opponent, but now it seems you are qualified.”

”Let Jiao Yang go immediately!” Leng Zimo shouted.

”Admitting you’re my opponent doesn’t mean I’ll concede!” Luo Ke dragged Jiao Yang to the helicopter’s cockpit, pressing him into the pilot seat, ”I know you can fly, so don’t try any tricks. Now, start it, or I’ll shoot you until you’re crippled. If Sissi saw that, she’d be heartbroken, wouldn’t she?”

”You’re not worthy of liking her,” Jiao Yang said coldly.

”I’m not like you, acting foolishly noble. If I want something, what’s the point if I don’t seize it?” Luo Ke laughed, tossing the headset into his lap, pressing the gun to his wrist, ”If I shoot you here, you’ll never play the piano again; Sissi would surely cry, right?”

He wasn’t afraid of injury or death, but he feared Luo Xiaoqian’s sorrow.

Her life should be happy and joyful; he couldn’t let her spend the rest of her life in guilt.

So he must survive, to live well.

”You will be punished!”

Jiao Yang took the headset and put it on his head, starting the helicopter.

The rotors started to spin slowly, turning faster, blowing the surrounding grass and trees sideways.

Leng Zimo grew increasingly anxious, seeing Cheang Xiao already near the helicopter. He fired a shot into the sky, then stepped out from behind the bushes.

”Luo Ke, I know what you want. You want Xiao Qian, right? I’ll be your hostage, let Jiao Yang go!”
