After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1730: Chapter 1734: Dear Wifey

A few minutes later, Leng Zirui was already dressed and standing by the bed.

Xu Xia was still half-lying in the same position on the pillow, not even changing her posture.

Last night, he completely indulged himself, and naturally, she was thoroughly exhausted by him.

Bending down, Leng Zirui gently kissed her face.

”Honey, I have to go.”

”Lan Zi, let me sleep a little longer, just five more minutes, five minutes...” Xu Xia mumbled groggily.

Unwilling to wake her up, Leng Zirui turned around to get some note paper, quickly wrote a note, and placed it on the table. After thinking about it, he wrote a few more notes and placed them in different spots.

This girl is always a bit scatterbrained, and if I only leave one note and she doesn’t see it, she might misunderstand and think I just ”left after playing”, that would be a big misunderstanding.

Only after making sure she would definitely see his notes, did Leng Zirui return to her bedside.

He squatted down, looked at her for a while from the bedside, then tucked her in properly, took the necessary clothes from the wardrobe and placed them by her pillow. He kissed her palm before reluctantly standing up and walking out of the room.

Leng Zirui didn’t leave immediately but went across the hall to knock on Lan Zi’s door.

”General Leng?!” Lan Zi beamed as she saw him, ”Anything you need?”

”I have an urgent task and need to leave. Xu Xia is still sleeping, so when she wakes up, please have her call me. Also, I arranged for her morning tea, if she isn’t awake by four, please notify the restaurant not to disturb her...” Leng Zirui smiled gently, ”She’s a bit tired and needs to rest well.”

”Of course, not a problem.” Lan Zi agreed with a smile.

”Thank you!” Nodding lightly to her, Leng Zirui turned and hurried toward the elevator.

”Take care!” Lan Zi watched him leave, her eyes full of envy, ”The Leng Family men are truly one of a kind, it’s a pity I don’t have the luck of Xiao Qian or Xu Xia.”

In the adjoining guestroom, the envied Xu Xia was still fast asleep.

It wasn’t until after three in the afternoon that Xu Xia finally woke up from her slumber.

Opening her eyes, she yawned lazily, wanting to roll over, but found she couldn’t move.

Every inch of her muscles was sore from head to toe, even her fingers felt limp like noodles, with no strength at all.

”Leng Zirui, I hate you!” she muttered vaguely.

There was no response beside her ear.

Xu Xia forced her eyes open wide, looking around her.

She had almost the entire big bed to herself, no one on the left, no one on the right, and no one on the sofa either...

”Leng Zirui?!”

She called out again, still no response, her eyes caught sight of some writing on a pale blue hotel note paper at the head of the bed.

She struggled to lift her arm, reaching for the note, and finally managed to pull it down to her face.

”Dear Wife:

Due to an urgent task, I had to leave in a hurry. Don’t think that I just ’left after playing’, clothes are by the pillow, I’ve arranged afternoon tea for you, and I’ve booked a place for dinner too, though I can’t join you. My apologies, once you’re back in Beijing, your husband will make it up to you. If you call and I don’t answer, I’m either on a plane or in a meeting, I’m definitely not ignoring you, I’ll call back as soon as I can.

Love you, your husband Leng Zirui, written at 12:25 PM.
