After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1738: Chapter 1742: I’m Sticking With You for Life

If you care too much about love, you will become anxious.

Since her parents passed away, Xu Xia hadn’t felt at home for a long time.

Watching him busy in front of her with an apron, smelling the aroma of food from the kitchen... after two years, she finally found the feeling of home again.

What is home?

A room, not too big or luxurious, with warm lights on in the living room, food aroma wafting from the kitchen, and when you return exhausted from another city, you don’t have to fumble for your keys. You just need to raise your hand lightly, knock, and someone will open the door for you.

Even if it’s just the simplest meal, it is warm and comforting.

Leng Zirui listened to her voice and lifted his hand, placing the cooked dumplings from the pan onto a plate.

Turning off the heat, he turned around and looked at Xu Xia in front of him. He lifted the plate of dumplings to her.

”I don’t have roses or a ring, only this plate of dumplings. Right now, this is all I can give you.” Leng Zirui lifted a hand, cupping her face, ”Xu Xia, I may not be able to give you the best things in this world, but as long as I have it, as long as I, Leng Zirui, can obtain it, and as long as you want it, I can give it to you, including myself. Would you be willing to marry a man like this?!”

”...”

Xu Xia opened her mouth, wanting to speak.

Leng Zirui pressed a finger to her lips, indicating for her not to speak yet.

”I might be very busy and not have much time to accompany you, and I can’t cook for you every day. I can’t attend every concert of yours, and I can’t casually take you abroad for fun. Even if you’re sick, with just one call, I have to leave, and even if you need me the most, I might not be able to come back. I will have some secrets that I might never be able to tell you... Would you be willing to marry a man like this?!”

Indeed, he loved her, loved her madly.

He wanted to marry her and be with her always, but precisely because of this, reason told him he must make these things clear to her.

How could it be? He wasn’t an ordinary person!

”...”

Xu Xia once again tried to speak.

But Leng Zirui’s finger still hadn’t moved away, ”Xu Xia, think it over carefully before you respond.”

Xu Xia suddenly pushed his hand away, ”I am willing, I am willing, I just am willing, Leng Zirui, let me tell you, I am going to cling to you for a lifetime!”

Of course, she knew his identity and what marrying him implied, but she wanted a home.

She wanted it so badly, so badly.

If there should be someone waiting for her in that home, if there would be someone leaving the light on for her, cooking for her, she just wished that person was him.

”Alright!” Leng Zirui embraced her, ”I’ll let you cling!”

Stretching out his arms, she held him tightly as well, ”I don’t want anything, no roses, no rings, I just want you, I just want Leng Zirui!”

”Alright.” His large hand held tightly against her back, ”From now on, I’m yours.”

He bent down, effortlessly hoisting her up with one arm. Holding the dumplings, he walked into the living room, grabbed a fork, set her on the sofa, and skewered a dumpling with the fork, carefully blew on it to cool it down, and brought it to her mouth.

”Eat up, don’t let our Xu Xia starve and slim down, your chest is already small...”

Originally moved to the point of tears, Xu Xia burst into laughter upon hearing this.

”Leng Zirui, you’re a jerk.”
