After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1717: Chapter 1721: Not Disappointed at All

Hong Kong.

Hung Hom Sports Center.

Xu Xia is dressed in comfortable loose T-shirt and shorts, doing the final rehearsal on stage before the concert; in two hours, the concert will officially begin. She’s always passionate and serious about her work.

In the angle of the sports center, Leng Zirui sits casually on a chair in the dark, arms resting on the chair in front, watching the figure on the stage from afar, with a faint smile on his lips.

”Ok, perfect!” The on-site monitor stood up and applauded, ”Xu Xia, that’s it for now, you need to rest.”

”Thank you, everyone!” Xu Xia bowed to the staff present, took the warm water handed over by Chu Fan, and drank it in small sips.

Seeing her coming down from the stage, Leng Zimo immediately took out his phone and dialed her number.

”Miss Xu, it’s a call from General!”

Chu Fan smiled and handed the phone to Xu Xia, who immediately put the phone to her ear.

”Hello?”

”Did you miss me?” Leng Zirui asked with a smile.

Come on, she’s surrounded by people, and he’s asking such an intimate question?!

Xu Xia glanced at the staff around her, ”No, I’m busy, don’t have time for that.”

”How’s the concert preparation going?”

”Just completed the final rehearsal, everything’s ready.” Xu Xia took a towel and wiped the sweat off her forehead, ”How are you?”

”I’m... the same as always.” Leng Zirui sighed, ”Xu Xia, let’s talk about something serious. Tonight, I’m afraid I can’t make it to watch your concert on-site. Are you... going to be upset?”

Xu Xia was stunned.

Even though he had never promised he would come, in her heart she’d decided he would, even reserved the best seats for two tickets for him, planning for Chu Fan to send them to the hospital and invite him and Seo Shaochuan to come together.

Now, suddenly saying he can’t come, naturally Xu Xia felt a bit disappointed.

”It’s okay.” Xu Xia replied in a relaxed tone, ”Take good care of yourself, health comes first.”

Though disappointed, she also understood, if he could come, he certainly would. Saying he couldn’t come must mean he had his reasons.

His work and health are unique, Xu Xia also understands him.

Leng Zirui held the binoculars to watch her profile, capturing the changes in her facial expression, but just slightly lifted the corners of his lips.

”Really not angry?”

”Really!”

”Not disappointed at all?”

Xu Xia hesitated for a moment, ”To be honest, a little bit.”

Leng Zimo chuckled softly, ”Don’t worry, although I can’t sit in the audience to watch your performance, I’ll definitely be at the celebration party.”

”Really?” Xu Xia’s face brightened up again.

Originally thinking he wouldn’t be there the whole night, hearing he would be at the celebration party was already quite a pleasant surprise for her.

Seeing the light return to her face, Leng Zirui was finally relieved, ”See you tonight.”

”See you tonight.”

”Do your best, don’t embarrass your husband, got it?”

Xu Xia mimicked his subordinate’s tone and replied, ”Promise to complete the task.”

”Alright then, hanging up now.” Leng Zirui smiled as he ended the call, stood up from the chair, and turned to leave the audience seats.

After hanging up the phone, the staff had already brought her dinner, along with a specially prepared light meal for her.

The concert isn’t like a regular performance; a two-hour show is a significant test, both physically and mentally.
