After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1600: Chapter 1604: Was It Made for Luo Xiaoqian?

Jiao Yang turned his face and saw that on one side of the stovetop, there was a huge shopping bag with two lonely packs of noodles for hot pot.

”Xiao Bei, I really love you!” Jiao Yang turned around, walked over, and grabbed the two packs of noodles from the shopping bag. ”Luckily, you haven’t washed them yet, or else we wouldn’t be able to have hot pot tonight!”

”You mean...” Mo Bei looked at the meat in the sink, ”All of these can’t be eaten?”

”Try it and see.” Jiao Yang nodded toward the meat in the sink.

Mo Bei reached over, pinched a slice of lamb, and as soon as she applied force, the meat, even though unwashed, was already falling apart.

Though she lacked common sense, it wasn’t hard to guess her mistake at this point. She had been struggling since eight o’clock and now it was almost midnight. The result was a complete mess, and Mo Bei’s little face was filled with defeat.

”Sorry, let’s just go out to eat!”

”It’s okay!” Jiao Yang raised his hand to embrace her shoulders and stuffed the noodles into her hand. ”I’ll teach you to make hot pot noodles for me!”

Even though her attempt was a complete disaster, it was after all with good intentions, and he really couldn’t bear to hurt her feelings.

”Forget it, let’s just go out to eat!” Mo Bei had completely lost confidence in herself.

Jiao Yang patted her shoulder, ”Actually, this is nothing. Do you know what happened the first time I made a meal? I almost blew up the house!”

”I don’t believe you!” Mo Bei looked skeptical.

”Really, why would I lie to you?” Jiao Yang, embracing her, walked her out of the kitchen and pushed her over to the table, ”Now, let me first teach you how to cook noodles. First, you need to get some water, half a pot will do.”

Mo Bei followed his instructions and soon brought some water.

”Great, now put it on the stove, turn on the switch... smart... now put the lid on, we’ll wait for the water to boil, and I can tell you about my first attempt at cooking!” Jiao Yang sat down on a chair, ”Five years ago, the first time I made a meal, I cooked eggs. Very simple, add water, add eggs, start boiling... Everything was smooth until I was about to peel them, then, suddenly, boom... the eggs exploded, and the whole kitchen was covered in egg bits, including me. That was the most embarrassing moment of my twenty-nine years.”

Of course, being embarrassed wasn’t the only thing that happened that night.

That night was also the first time he had ever seriously confessed to a woman, and he got rejected.

Mo Bei didn’t laugh. Her bright, contrasting black and white eyes just stared at his face, ”Did you make it for Luo Xiaoqian?!”

”You’re very smart.” Jiao Yang didn’t deny it, ”From that day on, I started learning how to cook!”

At the time, he always thought the only gap between him and Leng Zimo was that he couldn’t cook.

Later, when he truly learned how to cook, he realized that things were far more complicated than that.

Love is, essentially, a feeling.

Everyone is the same, just like different ingredients have different flavors. Some ingredients, you just like, whether steamed or braised, you’ll love them. Some flavors, no matter how you cook them, just can’t be loved.

He’s not Leng Zimo. Even if he learned how to cook, he’d still just be Jiao Yang who could only cook.

”Did she ever taste your cooking?” Mo Bei asked.

Jiao Yang smiled, lifted his hand to open the lid, ”The water is boiling, time to put in the noodles!”

Mo Bei quickly stood up, opened the package of noodles, and placed them into the pot.
