After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1559: Chapter 1563: Afraid You’ll Fall in Love With Me and Lose Yourself

”Xiao Xia!” Luo Xiaoqian also came up, looking concerned at her foot, ”How’s your foot?”

”Much better.” Xu Xia struggled to jump down from Leng Zirui’s arms, standing on one foot holding onto him, ”Sister Tongya, I’m sorry, I woke up late.”

”Is a night of spring worth a thousand gold? With love there’s destiny, with love there’s destiny!” Huangfu Ruo blinked, ”We’ve all been through it, we understand, right, Sister Tongya?”

Tong Ya gave an ambiguous smile, ”Of course, totally get it!”

Xu Xia’s face flushed, ”Sister Tongya, why are you stirring things up with Ruoruo?”

”Come on everybody, stop teasing, let me say it!” Leng Zirui took over the conversation, ”I hereby announce, Xu Xia and I are still in a pure and platonic relationship at the moment.”

”Did you hear that!” Xu Xia glanced at everyone, ”We really...”

Before she could finish, Leng Zirui shifted gears, ”However, starting this morning, I’ve officially started pursuing Xu Xia, so I kindly ask everyone to be prepared. Who knows when we’ll be in a not-so-pure relationship!”

Everyone burst into laughter, Xu Xia’s face blushed with anger, she flung his arm away, ”Leng Zirui, you...”

Leng Zirui chuckled lightly, wrapping an arm around her waist, ”Alright, don’t make a fuss, let’s go try on some clothes!”

He carried her into the fitting room, carefully setting her down.

Seeing him about to leave, Xu Xia immediately stood up, ”Leng Zirui, wait a minute...”

”I know, you don’t like me, right?” Leng Zirui watched her with a gentle gaze, ”You don’t have to like me, but you can’t deprive me of the right to like you. Plus, we’re such good buddies, you have to let me cut in, right?!”

Xu Xia was at a loss for words, his tone was so gentle, she couldn’t tell if he was being serious or joking.

”Give me a chance, okay?” Leng Zirui held her shoulders, ”One month, if after a month you still think I’m not serious, or you still can’t like me, I’ll back off immediately, and we’ll just go back to being good friends, how about it?!”

”...”

Xu Xia opened her mouth, but didn’t know what to say.

”What?” Leng Zirui’s tone turned teasing, ”Are you afraid you’ll fall for me and can’t help yourself?”

”Who’s afraid!” She instinctively retorted.

Lifting her hand, Leng Zirui clasped his right palm against hers, ”Then it’s settled. I’m going to try on clothes, make sure to be careful with your foot. Before the wedding tomorrow, don’t put weight on it, otherwise, I don’t mind finding you a wheelchair.”

”...”

”Also!” Pressing her back into the chair, he added with a smile, ”What I said before still stands, there are a lot of people outside. If you don’t mind me kissing you in front of everyone, then by all means, don’t listen to me!”

Without giving Xu Xia any chance to object, Leng Zirui turned and walked out of the fitting room, and a few staff members came in carrying her bridesmaid dress.

Seeing Leng Zirui walking over, Shen Yizhou raised an eyebrow slightly, ”You’re serious?!”

”No kidding.” Leng Zirui gave him a roll of his eyes, ”Do I look like I’m joking?!”

Everyone exchanged a look, then laughed and said in unison, ”Yes!”

Leng Zirui wiped his forehead.

No wonder Xu Xia doesn’t believe it, they don’t believe it either, how could she?!

Leng Zimo didn’t laugh, he stepped over and patted his brother on the shoulder, ”Xu Xia is a good girl, go for it!”
