After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1553: Chapter 1557: Now, Do You Believe Me?

Rinsing her mouth several times, Xu Xia finally held onto the sink, lifted her face, and breathed heavily as she looked at Leng Zirui.

”Leng Zirui, if you really want to murder me, throwing me off the nineteenth floor would be more bearable than this!”

Raising his hand to wipe the water droplets from her hairline, Leng Zirui looked at her seriously.

”Xu Xia, I’m not joking, I’m serious, I like you, be my girlfriend, okay?”

Xu Xia took a breath and leaned against the sink, ”I know, I shouldn’t have joked about this last time, but even if you want revenge, you don’t have to do it in the same way, right?!”

Leng Zirui, who always insisted he wouldn’t like her, suddenly confessed, leaving Xu Xia unwilling to believe him, assuming it was just a prank.

”Look into my eyes!” Leng Zirui lifted her chin with his hand, gently raising her face to meet his gaze, ”What do you see?!”

”You have bloodshot eyes!” Xu Xia replied.

Leng Zirui almost burst out laughing.

The first time in his life confessing to a girl, and this was her weird response?!

”You still don’t believe me?”

”No!”

Having heard him say too many times that she’s not his type, last time when she confessed to him, he almost rejected her, so at this moment, how could Xu Xia believe him?

The more she learned about him, the less confident she felt.

This man was simply too outstanding.

In terms of looks, he’s by no means inferior to Leng Zimo.

In terms of abilities, he’s already a general at such a young age.

In terms of wisdom, talent... isn’t he a standout in every aspect?!

And she...

Xu Xia was filled with a frustrating sense of inferiority.

Neither as pure and kind as Xiao Qian, nor as cute and innocent as Huangfu Ruo, and definitely not as elegant and gentle as Tong Ya, why would he like her, and what does he like about her?!

”Alright then!” Leng Zirui tightened his grip slightly and leaned in to plant a gentle kiss on her lips, ”Do you believe me now?!”

Xu Xia was stunned, then she raised her hand to push him away, ”Enough, stop playing around. Last time was my fault, I promise I won’t make that kind of joke again in the future.”

Dropping her gaze, she turned to leave.

”Xu Xia!”

Leng Zirui grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms, one hand around her waist, the other holding her face, lowering his head to kiss her lips again.

This time, it was nothing like the previous gentle peck.

Dominant and wild, filled with intense emotion.

Like flames, like a storm, like mighty waves, as if he wanted to completely melt her into his passion.

Xu Xia nearly succumbed to his kiss, but the voice of reason protecting herself was persistently screaming inside.

This isn’t real, this isn’t real, this is just a joke, Xu Xia, wake up, this isn’t night, don’t dream!

Her arms lifted, clearly wanting to embrace him, but once again, she pushed him away.

”Leng Zirui, enough!” Xu Xia wiped her lips with her hand and shouted in a low voice, ”This kind of joke is really not funny.”

Disappointment is never the scariest thing; the scariest is raising hope and then being let down again, that’s what’s truly devastating.

She had finally suppressed those emotions, and being friends with him, like true buddies, was good, at least she could see him anytime she missed him, at least he could take care of her like a friend, like family, she wasn’t asking for much.

Why did he still have to make such an excessive joke?!

Xu Xia pushed with such force that Leng Zirui, unprepared, took a step back, his body swaying, and he nearly fell into the bathtub.
