After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1552: Chapter 1556: Will You Be My Girlfriend?!

Xu Xia chewed on her bun, looking at the porridge brought to her lips with suspicion in her heart.

What’s up with this guy this morning, feeding her?!

Showing kindness for no reason, he must have a scheme!

There must be something going on.

She didn’t drink the porridge, but instead looked at Leng Zirui with scrutiny, ”Leng Zirui, do you have something you need my help with?”

”No?” Leng Zirui glanced at her expression, paused briefly, and then broke into a light laugh, ”I’m just seeing that you’re injured, representing the organization and the country to take care of you, our national treasure!”

She was not convinced, immediately reaching out to grab the bowl in his hand, ”Better not, I’d rather eat by myself!”

Every time this guy treated her well, something was off. Based on past experience, Xu Xia decisively opted for caution.

Leng Zirui didn’t insist, letting her take the bowl. He placed the spoon into her bowl.

Xu Xia held the bowl, drank two sips of porridge, pinched a bun, and ate happily. Occasionally looking at Leng Zirui beside her, noticing that he was just watching her eat, not eating himself, and even smiling at her, she felt a bit guilty.

Is this guy out of his mind?

Xu Xia suspiciously stopped her actions and touched her face with her hand.

There’s nothing there?

What is he smiling at?!

”What are you smiling at, is the way I eat that funny?!” She couldn’t help but ask.

”Of course not!” Leng Zirui’s smile grew wider, ”I’m smiling because I’m happy!”

Having the woman he likes also like him is a joyful thing for any man.

”What’s the good news?!” Xu Xia asked curiously.

”Oh, it’s huge good news!”

”Huge good news?!” Xu Xia couldn’t figure it out, ”Did you run into a beautiful woman while buying breakfast just now, and she’s fallen for you at first sight?!”

”Something like that!”

”I totally believe it!”

Xu Xia pouted and continued drinking her porridge.

”Xu Xia!” Leng Zirui looked at her profile, his expression becoming serious, ”Be my girlfriend?!”

Xu Xia lifted her face from the bowl of porridge, ”What?!”

”You...” Leng Zirui raised a finger to point at her face, then at himself, ”Be my girlfriend, will you?!”

Girls are reserved, and since she lacks confidence, he decided to say it himself.

Xu Xia was caught off guard, choked on her porridge, coughing violently. Thankfully, Leng Zirui reacted quickly and, at the same time, raised his hand to shield his face, thus avoiding the misfortune of getting sprayed with porridge.

”Do you have to be so worked up?!” Leng Zirui reached over to pat her back and handed her a tissue to wipe her mouth.

”Cough...” Xu Xia stood up from the sofa.

”Where are you going?” Leng Zirui hurriedly supported her arm.

”Cough... airway... cough...” Xu Xia said while coughing violently.

Seeing her coughing so painfully with tears almost coming out, Leng Zirui was startled and quickly hugged her from behind, forcefully pressing on her abdomen.

”Cough!”

Something flew out of Xu Xia’s mouth, landing on the ground, which turned out to be a golden date.

”How are you?!” Leng Zirui asked worriedly, turning her sideway.

Xu Xia took a deep breath, ”Much... cough... much better!”

Seeing her face, Leng Zirui hurried to take her into the bathroom, placing her by the sink. Xu Xia splashed water on her face and coughed for a while before finally catching her breath.
