After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1449: Chapter 1453: The Child of Zimo and Me

The shareholders were somewhat surprised upon hearing this.

”Miss Seo, is this true?!” asked Xie Tianle, another major shareholder of Emperor View, sitting diagonally across from Seo Fei.

”Of course it’s true. At the time, I was still an assistant at Emperor View, and I witnessed it myself. The young actor was the one who played the young Beichen, with only six shots in total. Yet, President Leng paid him a 30-million-yuan fee. Even a current Hollywood child star wouldn’t be worth this price,” Seo Fei glanced at Luo Xiaoqian, ”Miss Luo, don’t you want to tell everyone who that young actor is?”

Everyone’s eyes were fixed on Luo Xiaoqian.

”That person is the child of Zimo and me, Luo Jun.” Luo Xiaoqian did not hide anything, ”However, at the time Zimo didn’t know he was his son. As you all know about Zimo’s amnesia, he paid such a high fee for Luo Jun simply because he thought Luo Jun was worth it. The movie is about to wrap up and the remaining funds will mainly be used for special effects. Everyone should understand that in a fantasy movie, the special effects are extremely critical. If we are stingy in this final step, we could potentially ruin this epic-like movie. Then the 200 million we invested upfront would truly go down the drain. Whether to add an additional 50 million to ensure the high quality of the movie, or not invest further and let the previous 200 million go to waste, I think everyone can calculate this!”

”Before everyone makes a decision, I want to say one more thing!” Luo Xiaoqian cleared her throat, ”Regarding the compensation for Luo Jun, Zimo didn’t pay cash but promised a piece of land from a development project in Qingdao as Luo Jun’s compensation. Luo Jun is Zimo’s son, so contributing to Emperor View is something he should do. Therefore, I have already discussed with Zimo about paying the three million yuan land purchase rights to Emperor View at market price, and this three million will also be added to the movie’s funding. Does anyone have any objections?”

The ”Magic Realm” series is Leng Zimo’s labor of love; she would never allow a single mistake in this movie.

For this movie, spending 30 million yuan, Luo Xiaoqian believes it is worth it.

Seo Fei tapped the table lightly with her fingers, ”The Universal Studios project also requires a large amount of cash flow. Since President Luo has already allocated 30 million yuan, I personally think it’s enough. The post-production of the previous ’Magic Realm 1’ only cost 30 million as well, isn’t that enough?”

”’Magic Realm 1’ and 2 are different. The second part has many large scenes, which increases the requirements for special effects,” Luo Xiaoqian explained.

”We are not making an art film; making this movie is just for greater profit. If we can reduce costs, why not?!” Seo Fei turned her face towards the other shareholders, ”The Universal Studios project also needs funds to circulate. If we add this investment, Emperor View could face a cash flow disruption, what does everyone think?”

Xie Tianle also spoke up, ”I also think it’s unnecessary to waste too much money on post-production. We already have the basic audience from ’Magic Realm 1’. We just need to make a movie that is not inferior to ’Magic Realm 1’!”

Among all the major shareholders, Xie Tianle was the most at odds with Leng Zimo. Due to a previous investment incident, the two had significant conflicts. Xie Tianle almost got pushed out of the board by Leng Zimo. Before, because of Leng Zimo, he didn’t dare to do anything, but now, with just Luo Xiaoqian, he certainly doesn’t show much respect.
