After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1436: Chapter 1440: I’ll Take You Back Right Now

What Leng Zimo needs right now is absolute peace and rest, which is crucial for his brain’s recovery after surgery. At the moment, the most important thing for Leng Zimo is his health.

Leng Lin glanced at his younger son driving the car, ”Do you think I don’t understand even this much?!”

”You understand, you understand everything!” Leng Zirui pouted, ”Except you don’t understand your own temper.”

Leng Lin raised his eyebrows but said nothing.

His temper was almost identical to Leng Zimo’s, both stubborn and domineering, neither willing to back down. Ever since Leng Zimo was very young, the father-son relationship had been quite uneasy. Previously, Mother Leng acted as a mediator, but now this role fell to Leng Zirui.

Both Leng Lin and Leng Zimo were fully aware of these matters.

But alas, it’s easy to change rivers and mountains but hard to change one’s nature. A born character is not something that can be easily altered.

The off-road vehicle parked in the hospital parking lot, and as the Leng Family father and son got out, the security guard Xiao Zhao also jogged over. The three of them went upstairs together, arriving outside Leng Zimo’s ward. Seeing the two stoic, tall bodyguards standing outside the door, Leng Lin merely frowned. With his status, he naturally couldn’t stand such things.

The two bodyguards didn’t recognize him and immediately reached out to stop Leng Lin.

One of them politely asked, ”May I ask who you are?!”

How dare they stop him, Leng Lin’s eyebrows raised, about to flare up.

”This is my dad!” Leng Zirui hurriedly took two quick steps, pulling Leng Lin’s arm, ”Old man, remember, stay calm. If you can’t, I’ll send you back right now!”

The two bodyguards, realizing this was Father Leng, quickly changed their expressions, stepped aside, and bowed respectfully. One of them opened the door, ”Sorry!”

”Hmph!” Leng Lin snorted coldly but took a deep breath, adjusted his emotions, and walked into the ward.

Inside the room, several young people were chatting happily. Seeing him come in, they immediately stood up, greeted him, and offered him a seat.

”Dad, you’re here!” Luo Xiaoqian also greeted Leng Lin with a smile, lightly nudging Leng Zimo’s arm, hinting for him to greet Leng Lin proactively.

Leng Zimo looked at his father approaching and nodded towards the chair beside him, ”Sit down!”

Looking at Leng Zimo on the hospital bed, with a short buzz cut, head wrapped in bandages, and IV drip in his hand, even if Leng Lin had the biggest temper, it had already turned into a father’s concern and worry.

Sitting in the chair, he spoke softly, ”How’s the recovery?”

”Pretty good.” Leng Zimo replied.

Both men actually wanted to show more closeness to each other, but being naturally reserved, the conversation turned out rather dry.

Luo Xiaoqian eagerly said, ”Dad, don’t worry. Yizhou said Zimo’s surgery was very successful. Just one more week in the hospital, and he can be discharged without any problems.”

”That’s good.” Leng Lin nodded, ”What do you want to eat? I’ll have Aunt Su make something to boost your nutrition.”

Leng Zimo heard the conciliatory tone in his father’s voice and naturally softened his own, ”I’m fine with anything. Let Aunt Su make some soup for Xiaoqian.”

”Alright!” Leng Lin immediately turned his head, ”Zhao, call Xiao Su and ask her to make some chicken soup for Xiaoqian. Later, you go and bring it over.”
