After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1416: Chapter 1420: Why Are You Taking My Driver’s License?

”Where’s your driver’s license?!” Leng Zirui asked.

”Uh... here it is!” Xu Xia handed him the tote bag and turned to grab her handbag, shaking it at him, ”Don’t worry, I’ve got it. I wouldn’t drive without a license!”

Leng Zirui reached out, grabbed her handbag directly, pulled the driver’s license out, and stuffed it into his own pocket.

Seeing his actions, Xu Xia just frowned suspiciously, ”Leng Zirui, what are you doing with my driver’s license?!”

Leng Zirui smiled back at her, ”From now on, you don’t need to drive anymore, so why do you need a license?!”

No need to drive?!

Xu Xia was a bit puzzled, ”What do you mean?!”

”Isn’t it obvious? I’m worried about your intelligence!” Leng Zirui shrugged, ”I’ve confiscated your driver’s license. From today on, you should forget about driving.”

Confiscated it?!

Xu Xia frowned and glanced at him, ”Based on what?!”

Leng Zirui cast her a sideways glance, ”Speeding on the highway over 50% not only results in fines but also revokes your driving privileges. Haven’t you studied the traffic rules?!”

”Come on, you’re not a traffic cop!” Xu Xia rolled her eyes, got out of the car, and reached out her hand to him ingratiatingly, ”Give it back to me now!”

Leng Zirui ignored her, casually shut the car door, locked it with the car keys, and turned to walk to his own car.

”Zirui!” Xu Xia hurried to catch up, grabbing his arm, ”No, Lord Leng, I know I was wrong. I won’t dare do it again... no, absolutely no next time, I swear, please, can you give me back my driver’s license?!”

Knowing he meant well, Xu Xia wasn’t angry.

”Know you’re wrong?” Leng Zirui asked.

Xu Xia nodded obediently like a school kid.

”Promise no next time?” Leng Zirui asked again.

Xu Xia raised her right hand, making a pledge gesture, ”I swear, absolutely no next time!”

”Seeing how well you behaved, let’s skip the fine. After a month, come find me to get your license back!” Leng Zirui stepped forward to leave.

Xu Xia chased after him again, blocking him, ”Leng Zirui, if you keep playing games with me, I’ll really get mad!”

Playing?!

Leng Zirui raised an eyebrow, she thought he was joking with her?!

Leng Zirui, who had reached into his pocket to get her license, pulled his hand back.

”Two months!”

He tossed three words back at her and briskly walked to his own car.

”Stop right there!” Xu Xia grabbed his arm and held out her hand in front of him, ”Now, right now, immediately... give me back my driver’s license!”

Leng Zirui lowered his face, looking at her slightly angry face, and mischievously curved his lips, ”You want it?”

”Quit babbling!” Xu Xia replied irritably.

”Alright then, no babbling!” Leng Zirui straightened up, ”My answer is just two words—no way!”

Xu Xia was exasperated, ”Are you really not giving it back?”

”Not giving it!” Leng Zirui replied.

”Alright!” Xu Xia raised her hand to grab the paper bag in his hand, trying to snatch it back, but her attempt failed. She immediately growled in frustration, ”Let go!”

This jerk, she apologized nicely, and yet he’s still playing hardball. She even went out of her way to buy him a T-shirt from Hong Kong, and this is how he repays her?!

”Why should I give you what’s mine?” Leng Zirui’s fingers tightened, refusing to let go.

”What do you mean yours, it’s obviously mine!” Xu Xia forcefully tugged at the paper bag.

Leng Zirui watched her angry face with a smile, ”You said you were giving it to me, and now it’s in my hands, so naturally, it’s mine!”
