After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1411: Chapter 1415: Would You Sleep With the Windows Closed?

Picking up the pen, Leng Zirui quickly wrote down a number and handed it to Vice President Li, then turned and walked towards the door, ”Call me immediately when you find it.”

Leaving the control room, Leng Zirui quickly went downstairs.

Downstairs, Seo Shaochuan and the others were already waiting for him in the parking lot. By the time Leng Zirui reached the side of Seo Shaochuan’s car, Vice President Li had already called, giving Leng Zirui Li Fu’s address.

”You all head back first, Chuangchuan, take me out for a trip!” Leng Zirui strode towards the car Seo Shaochuan was driving, and Seo Shaochuan quickly jogged over, got into the driver’s seat. Leng Zirui gave the address, and the car hurriedly drove out of the hospital parking lot.

Li Fu’s residence was in a district of flat-roofed shacks. When Leng Zirui and Seo Shaochuan arrived nearby, from a distance they saw several police cars parked at the intersection, with quite a few onlookers around.

Leng Zirui got out of the car first. The two of them walked to the corner, and Leng Zirui asked an elderly man, ”Sir, could you please tell me how to get to No. 138?”

”Just follow this alley all the way in; you’ll know it’s the house with the police inside!” The old man replied.

Police?

Could it be that something happened to Li Fu!

With his heart set, Leng Zirui quickened his pace towards the direction the old man indicated. Turning a corner, as expected, there was a semi-old house with a few police officers pointing and discussing something, with others taking photos.

Leng Zirui glanced at the mottled house number outside and immediately stepped forward, ”What happened here?”

A middle-aged police officer turned his face, looked at him with a puzzled expression.

Seo Shaochuan, following Leng Zirui, immediately pulled out his credentials and showed them, ”We suspect this case is related to an important case, please truthfully tell us everything.”

The middle-aged officer’s expression suddenly became respectful, and he immediately saluted the two, ”We received a report from the public that someone died here, rushed over to investigate, resident of No. 138, Li Fu was found dead, here are his details!”

Taking the details of Li Fu handed over to him, Leng Zirui glanced at it carelessly, then looked towards the door, ”Where’s the body?!”

”Still inside, undergoing autopsy.” came the reply.

Leng Zirui nodded slightly and stepped into the house, the middle-aged police officer immediately walked in behind him.

Li Fu was not a local, but a migrant worker. The room he rented wasn’t large, about ten square meters, it contained only the most basic living facilities, a corner had a chopping board and stove among other things, clearly, eating, living, and sleeping all happened in this one room.

The room was thick with the smell of gas. A middle-aged man lay calmly on a single bed, his chest and lips a cherry red color, face peaceful, even with a slight smile.

”How is it?” Leng Zirui asked.

The staff conducting the autopsy looked at him puzzled, noting the nodding gesture from the middle-aged officer nearby, he immediately replied, ”No external injuries found on the body, no signs of struggle, preliminarily judged to be an accidental death from carbon monoxide poisoning, he likely came back too late yesterday, forgot to turn off the gas while cooking.”

Leng Zirui frowned at the young police officer, ”In such hot weather, would you sleep with the windows closed?!”

An accidental death from carbon monoxide poisoning, this is clearly a murder.
